You Do Know

In the past few years there has been an increase in the use of the word intuitive. This increase has been a direct result of the way we describe the intelligent functionality of technology such as a smart phone or an application. We have also seen a rise in the popularity of books that talk of 'silencing the mind', revealing the importance of being without ego. This book blends these two subjects together, by explaining how to make decisions without ego, therefore making decisions without fear.

Intuitívny dizajn, intuitívne rozhranie, atď. Intuitívnosť hľadáme vo svojich smarfónoch, počítačoch, autách, televíziách a ďalších technologických hračkách.

Goes a bit too extreme but Becky Walsh has an amazing perceptive on the things that western science cant study yet. As well as encouraging its readers to trust in their intuitions, she also gives some helpful tools to differentiate fear rooted inner voice with intuition.
Her teachings being a bit too extreme, i wouldn't recommend this book to people who are just starting to read spiritual books, as they can just find it ridiculous and ignore all the gems inside

A nice psychology book. Has some nice ideas but also some more abstract things that i don't fully resonate with. Still worth the read because of some insights

Becky has an intuitive (!) grasp of what it means to exercise our inner senses - or, if you like, exercise our "psychic" abilities. She has put our inner senses under the umbrella term of "intuition" and goes on to give an easily readable account of the factors that are involved in accessing our intuition.
Her coverage of the emotional and psychological factors involved; her treatment of the subjects of consciousness, altered states there of, the importance of "purpose" in our lives, Love and Fear, the stymieing affects (on our intuition) of an over-worked ego, and the shifting of our collective consciousness in this time of "crisis," are all handled with a refreshing vulnerability.
The book talks to the layperson about the current issues affecting our collective consciousness, and how the individual, by trusting and exercising their own intuition, can not only invigorate their own well-being - but also, in so doing, contribute to the collective well-being of humanity as we go through this shift to a more evolved state of knowing.
There is a lot within this book that the reader will resonate with.

I bought this book with an open mind to approaching decision-making from a different angle. There are some things that I think are quite reasonable, such as the advice to practice mindfulness, to exercise, know what your values and have regular companionship. The basis of of the book's main premises that there are two types of intuitive decision making - love or ego - is also acceptable.

However, there is a lot of hindsight and confirmation bias. We all have a tendency to notice when something confirms what we believe and we naturally ignore or forget the things that didn't go as we predicted. And it's unlikely that the author is an exception, hence a lot of the anecdotes she uses suffers from this trait.

It is unfortunately far to "woo woo", for want of a better phrase, for me.

This book confirmed to me a lot of what I already knew instinctively and that's the idea that we usually know in our hearts whether to follow the right course of action for us or not.

Becky's words really inspired and encouraged me to lead a life by her example. Ultimately your intuition knows the best path to make you happy, it's just up to you whether you decide to follow it or not.

'You Do Know' is filled with short stories, tips, the latest scientific and psychological research into intuition, along with examples which will show you how to get the best out of any tricky situation.

This book offers some excellent insights, inspires you to get in touch with your own intuition and manages to be humorous all in one. I especially like the short stories from the authors own life that break up the book. They are honest and entertaining.
