Technically started and finished this book in the same day, just finished it in the AM hours!
This is another thrift store find that I was interested in but didn't have high hopes for. I'm so happy to be proven wrong! Despite being published in 1993, this book doesn't contain the heaps of sexism and rapey vibes that many romance novels from the past contain (no judgment for people who like those books btw! I enjoy some of them myself.).
Laura and Carter are a breath of fresh air! They both have their flaws, but they're addressed and admitted. Also, as much as I love a spooky ghost story, I have found that I enjoy a wholesome-ish one as well!
I don't have kids so I cannot tell you if the 5 year old daughter was written accurately, however I can say that she was not at all annoying as child characters can be sometimes.
Because this is a thrifted book, I had no idea what I was in for and there was significantly less spice than what I was expecting based on other romance books from the 80s/90s I've read. There is one sex scene and it is very short and not super detailed, however that did not ruin my enjoyment.

A nice sweet romance with just a hint of mystery and of course a matchmaking ghost. An enjoyable read.

This was really a romance story with a ghost thrown in. It was a easy read. Laura Daniels her daughter Jessica, their ghost Priscilla Burbage, and the museum curator Carter Kincaid are thrown together because of the Victorian house Laura is bringing back to its former glory. She has plans to sell it as a way to make her living. A cute little story.
