LOVED THIS BOOK!! 2nd was even better than the first. Why I loved this so much? Sloane. He was alpha, yes! He was strong and overbearing at times, yes! He was SUPER sexy and alluring, yes! BUT.. he NEVER demeaned Kat. He always supported her, and found ways to get what they both wanted. It's just so refreshing. He's a good man:)
Course, Lyon left us with a freaking cliffhanger. It's a good thing I dig them:)

I thought I was burned out on the concept of the trilogy, and then along came Jennifer Lyon and Possession and I’m once again in love. Seriously the story is so good, I found myself looking to see how much I had left going both I need to know what happens and at the same time freaking out because I knew I wasn’t going to get my happily ever after yet. This is the second book, and I definitely recommend reading the first, and I know I’ll be clamoring to download the last story as soon as it releases.
There is something about Kat, she’s such a strong character heroine and so well fleshed out, that I’m cheering for her to kick some ass. She’s amazing, and Ms. Lyon does such a great job building this character that I can love and want to trade places with, or at least be best friends with.
Sloane, is plain sexy, add in his troubled past and the complex life that created the man he is today, and he’s a very well fleshed out character. Watching him fall in love and reevaluate what’s truly important out of life because of Kat and her love is an amazing experience.
The scenes between Kat and Sloan are explosive, there is no doubt that their chemistry is off the charts. They are two characters who are meant to be together, and it’s especially evident with the way they help each other grow and become better and stronger people.
There is a cast of secondary characters in this story that is superb. They add to the story and enhance Kat and Sloan’s world. I highly recommend this series, if you don’t like cliffhangers wait until the third is out and read them all in one sitting. I will say that I don’t think I lost anything by reading as they came out, and I would gladly wait and read these again even knowing that I have to wait for the happily ever after. They are just that good.

In this second book, Kat and Sloane continue to grow closer. It is clear to each of them that their relationship has progressed beyond an emotionless plus-one arrangement. There is no denying their feelings any longer.
As they fight their personal demons, secrets are unearthed. Still struggling to define their relationship, these dark truths have the potential to destroy them. Will they build a future together, or continue to allow the pasts to control them?
This book ends with a cliffhanger that will leave you craving the third book. I enjoyed this book, despite the predictable storyline. But hey, it works! If it isn't broke, then don't fix it. This is a short, sweet story with a touch of mystery/suspense. Overall, a good read.

Everything I wrote in my review for book 1, "The Proposition," applies to the second book in this series - which by the way is even HOTTER! Sloane Michaels has to be one of the hottest, sexiest male specimen I've ever come across. He had me drooling from beginning to end. Book 3, "Obsession," can't come soon enough.

Neste segundo volume da série Plus One Chronicles, voltamos a Sugar Dancer e a vida dos nossos protagonista no mesmo ponto onde Uma Proposta Sedutora Parou.
Começamos a leitura sabendo do desenrolar dos últimos capítulos, se Kat aceitou ser acompanhante de Sloane junto com todos os outros aspectos sórdidos, ou seja, ser uma parceira sexual para relaxar a tensão que foi muito forte no primeiro livro. E toda a tensão que ainda paira entre Kat e sua família, que ainda continuo odiando fortemente. Urgh!

O comentário foi um chute na virilha.

Era assim que os pais dela a tratavam: como alguém a ser empurrada de lado e ignorada.
- Chega. Está tudo bem entre nós."
Talvez seja um erro da minha parte dizer isso - por causa da comparação - mas achei os acontecimentos do relacionamentos dele tão 50 Tons de Cinza, só que de um jeito muito bem escrito e uma pitada de romantismo de verdade. Que os fãs de 50 Tons não queiram me matar se estiverem lendo isso, por favor, pois eu também já fui uma fã da trilogia da E.L. James, mas depois de um tempo passei a ver alguns pontos no livro que me desagradaram. Mas aqui em Só Você, me deleitei com cenas calientes e ao mesmo tempo com uma escrita rebuscada e de dar gosto de ler. E como leitura hoje, fez toda a diferença para mim.
Quote: " - Você arranca mais merda de mim do que qualquer outra pessoa que conheço.
Ah, ela gostava disso, mesmo que ele não gostasse.
- Parece justo, já que você faz o mesmo comigo."
Sloane e Kat tem um acordo: ele devolve a ela o contro da vida por ensiná-la defesa pessoal, e ele quero o corpo dela em troca. E essa parte do enredo é tão fofa. Tudo mesmo! As cenas na Academia SLAM, onde Sloane é proprietário e a vida açucarada que tem tem em sua confeitaria, se entrelaçam de um jeito que faz o leitor suspirar. Não queria largar essa leitura por nada.
Kat ainda está com dificuldade em se lembrar da noite em que perdeu algumas lembranças do ataque que tirou sua paz. David, um personagem que é bem presente no primeiro livro, começa a exercer pressão para que Kat não lembre de nada e faz o leitor sempre suspeitar de algo quando ele ganha vida em algumas cenas. Sloane tem uma sede de vingança que nesse volume entendemos muito melhor o que aconteceu e porque ele é tão atormentado pelo passado. Descobrimos os motivos da morte da sua irmã, e o assassino que sai da prisão após 14 anos, e como lidar com a dor de estar prestes a perder Kat irá mexer com o que Sloane sente.
Quote: "O que Sloane me deu o dinheiro não pode comprar."
Entre os personagens secundários nessa história, Drake continua sendo meu favorito e aqui em especial ele tem um papel vital em unir mais o casal e ajudar ambos a perceber o que querem e o que sentem pelo outro. Além de Drake que é amigo de Sloane, temos também a presença marcante do irmão da Kat, Marshall, que traz a história o apoio da família que nossa protagonista tanto precisa.
Mesmo que alguns momentos sejam mais carnal do que sentimental, eu amei cada momento deles juntos e pude perceber como algumas autoras deixam de amadurecer seus personagens, mas isso não acontece entre Sloane e Kat. Eles amadurecem juntos, são um ombro amigo para o outro, e estão lá sempre que o outro precisa.
Quote: "Depois de algumas batidas do seu coração contra o rosto dela, ele passou-lhe os dedos pelos cabelos.
- O que você está fazendo comigo?
Kat fechou os olhos, sentindo o perfume dele, enquanto lutava contra um ardor surpreendente de lágrimas. Ele realmente não sabia.
- Se chama abraço. Para trazer conforto."
Mistérios começam a ser solucionados e buracos começam a ser tampados para a grande solução que eu espero do último volume da trilogia - Entrega Total. Jennifer Lyon é perita em caracterizar seus personagens, introduzir novos tópicos na hora certa e fazer o leitor se derreter. E com certeza, esse segundo volume foi uma adição perfeita para complementar a história desse casal que desde o livro inicial me deixou feliz em conhecê-los.
Quote: "Ele era uma ilha e permitia que muito poucas pessoas entrassem, mas nunca deixava sua dor sair. Ela envolveu os dedos em torno da mão rígida de Sloane e a arrastou até aconchegá-la entre a palma das mãos.

- Te oferecer conforto? Ser sua amiga? Estou.
Ele entrelaçou os dedos nos dela.
- Se você continuar a fazer merdas como esta, posso não ser capaz de te deixar ir embora. Nunca."
Gostaria muito que a Editora Charme trouxesse outros livros da autora para o Brasil.

EVEN better than the first novel!

Whoa, what a great start to this trilogy! Talk about plenty to keep your attention, I quickly devoured this book and started on the next one. This book was so unique to me, trying to put my finger on it. (AND Sloane is now within my top 5 book boyfriends!)
Author has great flawed characters, both trying to get over violent traumatic events from their pasts which has shaped their lives significantly. Both dealing with relationship insecurities as a way of protecting themselves from future hurt. But these characters are complex, and I love that we each get to see their points of view. These were such loveable characters; the intuitiveness and sensitivity of Sloane combined with his alpha male qualities was off the charts hot. Many hero's hit the last one, but the whole combination?!
Sloane overshadowed Kat for me but she too had complexities like self-worth and trust issues caused by her family and her accident. She's attempting to be independent while battling her anxiety. And seeing her stretch her limits by entering into a relationship with Sloane and training herself to fight back, were inspiring. She also is so real, living to the beat of her own drum (pink streaks), feeling shy about scars as we all likely would (not those un-relatable damsel in distress Barbie types.)
I think this book was also great because it was so well written it weaved in many different story lines. We have Kat's former fiancé, her attack, wanting to expand her business, Kellan, Drake dying, the mentoring program, Sloane's guilt, his relationship with his Mom, etc. and it was all so EASY to follow. It all added such a richness and depth to this novel.

Possession is the second book in the Plus One Chronicles, the serialized story by Jennifer Lyon. These books are not stand alone stories. They are designed to be read in order. I've long been a fan of Jennifer Lyon and her alter ego, Jennifer Apodaca. With this venture, she has stepped into a new realm of sensuality and emotion. Kat Thayne and Sloane Michaels are both damaged. Her scars show. He keeps his hidden. He offers her the one thing she wants most in life--herself. She offers him the one thing he never thought to have--love.
I stayed up last night until I finished reading this book. I couldn't have put it down if I'd tried. I would have lain awake wondering what was going to happen next. At four a.m., I hit THE END. But it's not the end. It's just the beginning of the next chapter for this couple. And to borrow an internet "thing"--OMGWTFBBQ!!!! Lyon knows how to leave the reader wanting more! The last book in the trilogy releases this fall. I can't wait. And I'll do what I did with this book--I'll go back, read from the beginning and transition into the next.
THE PROPOSITION laid the groundwork, providing the personalities, the backstory, and the suspense. POSSESSION raises the stakes--emotionally, sexually, and the interwoven threads of the subplots create a masterpiece of storytelling. All I have to add is that Jennifer Lyon has hit her stride with this series (and this book in particular). You'll have to run to keep up with her, but damn if it isn't worth the effort!

POSSESSION raises the stakes--emotionally, sexually, and the interwoven threads of the subplots create a masterpiece of storytelling. All I have to add is that Jennifer Lyon has hit her stride with this series (and this book in particular). You'll have to run to keep up with her, but damn if it isn't worth the effort!

Ok so I usually avoid trilogies with a passion. I can't say why I have a dislike for them I just do. This series is different though. The books are quite short but Ms. Lyon does a great story.
The plus one story continues.......
In this book we get to the nitty gritty of the secrets and how through the plus one arrangement things change. Sloane is sill out for his revenge after what was done to his twin sister Sara.
Kat is remembering more and more of her mugging (that wasn't a mugging) she is becoming stronger and stronger each day. Sloane is changing and realising what love truly means after everyone has left him. On top of that his mentor is dying of cancer the man that killed his sister has been released and it all goes to hell. Sloane becomes extremely protective of Kat. Kat is building and trying to expand her business. Until the press and a visit from Sloane's mother ruins everything and she founds out the truth.....
Honesty and bluntness was part of the deal right from the beginning and he lied....
Thank god book 3 is out what a cliffhanger. Will Sloane give up his revenge that has been eating away at him for the past 14 years? Will he realise that there is more in life? Will Kat find out the truth? Will they keep what they have and love one another unconditionally?

This time, the lovely Kat is not tapping out! She's all in... well, sort of. Relationship between Kat and Sloane has not only gone way hotter but stronger. They are definitely more than each others plus-one.
But Sloane's need for vengeance could destroy it all. And, at the same time, Kat is slowly remembering what happened to her when she was almost beaten to death.
Okay, I am loving this series, Sloane specially... Again, short read... next thing you know, you're at the end.
BUT, I got book 3 waiting. One of the reason I wait for all books to come out and start reading!

Ms. Lyon was a new-to-me author when I first read The Proposition and obviously she instantly became a fave of mine. She will continue to do so as she has gone above and beyond my expectation. Possession is even better than the The Proposition, both making it to the UTC’s Top Pick for 2013. Where the story couldn’t get any better, it did; where the romance couldn’t get more romantic, it did, and when I thought the scenes couldn’t get any hotter…it most certainly did.
If you haven’t read The Proposition, I highly encouraged you do to better understand how Kat and Sloane came to be. In this second installment of The Plus One Chronicles, Kat and Sloane’s relationship definitely intensified. I love how Ms. Lyon had given them a chance to really get to know each other and time to fall deeper in love. Not only that they are spending a lot of time training, they are getting to know each other’s background. I don’t know exactly how Ms. Lyon did it , but as you read the book, you feel his love grow deeper.
There is more of Sloane’s POV in this novel, which was fine because it was fascinating to read how intense he is. He is so determined and focused on his goal that you know nothing can stop him. And each scene he is working out or training, I keep having this vision of a sexy hot UFC fighter , and I’m automatically swooning.
Kat continues to wow me. With continued training in self defense, she has definitely become stronger and more confident. Her character is not your typical damsel in distress. Oh no, this damsel is in distress , but she wants to learn to fend for herself despite her fears making her a very strong heroine indeed. Unfortunately, her experience of getting mugged is not quite in the past. She will again see danger , and we will get to the bottom of her ex-fiancée’s secrets. Oh yes, there is more to that story which will give this book a bit more of suspense and mystery.
I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this book but know that both The Proposition and Possession are by far one of the best erotic romance books I’ve read this year.

Jennifer Lyon first captured my attention with her paranormal series, the Wing Slayer Hunters. Then again with her recent contemporary military release, The Baby Bargain, written as Jennifer Apodaca. So as, you can see I love this authors writing, and I recommend her whether you are a paranormal and/or contemporary romance reader. Now I want to discuss her latest trilogy, The Plus One Chronicles.

In this second installment, the author took the chemistry between the main characters and added sensuality. There has been a startling amount of growth; Sloane has shown us readers his more vulnerable side and Kat is learning to kick ass!

My favorite thing about The Proposition was the realistic dialogue but Possession was more subtle. The author wove enthusiasm, sentiment and sensuality into every scene – even the ones where the main characters were in the background. I love this series! Possession is the second book in The Plus One Chronicles and picks up where the first book, The Proposition, left off. The series should be read in order. The Plus One Chronicles is full of drama, danger, mystery, and smoking hot romance. Sloane is the ultimate sexy alpha male and pushes past all Kat’s barriers in this book. I love them together. Not only do they have chemistry and passion that will leave you sweating, but Sloane helps Kat become stronger and to get past her fears while also giving her the skills to protect herself. They both have tragedies in their pasts that are coming back into their lives in this book. Most women want to use Sloane for his money, power and connections. Kat is the first plus one relationship he has had that only wants the man, and this is making him want to possess all of her. Jennifer Lyon makes you really feel and love these characters. I can’t say enough good things about this series. They have everything I look for in great books. Possession has an intriguing plot, great characters, danger, mystery and a great love story. I loved it and can not wait for the third book, Obsession, to be released in September. Jennifer Lyon is one of my favorite authors because she always delivers a great romance story and she definitely delivered with Possession. I recommend this book, and this series for anyone looking for a great story with lots of smoking hot romance.

The ending … come on that was certainly not what I was expecting. Although Jennifer Lyon does has an amazing talent for filling the pages of a book and if the first book was anything to go by I guess I should have been prepared.
Sloane Michaels has a love life of carefully negotiated plus-one arrangements. Then Kat Thayne limps into his life and his need for Kat, his need to possess the fiery baker girl is all consuming. Being with her challenges his beliefs and his need to avenge his sisters death. And to get Kat into his bed he offers her the one thing she wants most in this world - herself.
Haunted by snippets of her violent past, Kat steps out of her shell and falls into Sloane’s strong arms. She learns to trust him and along the their plus-one relationship tests new boundaries to become a plus-one-plus relationship. But will Sloane’s darkest secret shatter the trust Kat is just learning to give?
“She trusted him with her body, and then her heart. She’d freely given him a priceless gift of her love.”
Loved the development of the characters in this book. Their inner strength as well as Sloane’s outer one *sigh* was a force to be reckoned with. It truly is a page turner and the final chapter of the The Plus One Chronicles is coming out September.

Full disclosure: I detest cliffhanger series. Lately, and especially since the success of 50SoG, there are too many authors that insist on breaking up one book into a trilogy. I despise reading half of a story that is left open for what is so obviously a money grab. There have been so many substandard books that I have started to read, only to find out that I got part of a story. It immediately makes me feel annoyed and there are stories out there that I simply don't know how it concludes because I refuse to continue with them.
And yet - this is a genuinely good story, good enough that I was happy that I read it anyway. This review covers both books released so far, the Proposition and Possession.
Sloane is a great hero - protective, alpha but his true strength is that he makes Kat stronger by helping her help herself. Kat is a heroine who could have easily been annoying and cowering, waiting for the big strong man to save her. But she doesn't want that, and I really admired her determination to move on from a devastating attack that left her scarred, inside and out.
It is a refreshing take on a very common theme for romances nowadays, and the setup is excellent. In this installment, there is enough character development and the cliffhanger is dramatic without leaving me completely dissatisfied.
The only thing that stopped me from giving this another star is that I truly wish the author had held off and combined all three parts into one amazing story, a book that I would happily pay a decent price for, instead of releasing it in sections.

The second novella in this series is as good as the first one. The story continues and her we can see the development in the relationship of Sloane and Kat.
In this story, Kat is becoming stronger each day. And I don’t mean only physical but emotional also. Yes, she’s still a little insecure but that’s logical. She has goals in her life and she knows that she has to be stronger and determined in order to succeed. She has to put her fears behind. I believe that she’s doing it. She’s trying hard to remember what happened to her because in her case the truth will set her free.
Sloane shows us his possessive side in this novella. It’s easy to see that he doesn’t want Kat only for a small period of time. He’s falling in love with her but he’s afraid of telling her his plans and he’s right to be afraid. He’s worried about Kat and he wants to keep her safe. I like him because he’s the kind of man who is proud for everything his woman is trying to do.
It’s a very nice novella and after the cliffhanger I am very curious about what is going to happen in the next one!

Holy crap! This continuation of Slone and Kat's story rocks beyond my expectation! This story is so hot, sweet, suspenseful and amazingly believable that I am completely giddy with anticipation for book 3, Obsession. Sadly, like the rest who've read this masterful writing, I wait till September! Slone is (for me) the absolutely perfect idea of an Alpha male! I love his need to control and in the process, looses all of it when it comes to the immense passion he feels for Kat. This is very endearing and sexy to me! Kat has absolute power to bring this hot Alpha male to his knees while gaining confidence and strength in herself! Love this! Kat is incredibly wounded physically and emotionally before meeting Slone and for that matter, emotionally he is too for different reasons before meeting her. Together they break boundaries neither ever thought possible and I freaking love that about their love story, making for a epic movie! Possession ends in a cliff hanger, (like book one did) leaving me seriously desperate for more, blast it! Jennifer Lyons is not only a stellar but smart writer! I am all in!

Book two flows from the end of book one, the story concentrating more on Sloan & Kat’s relationship. Having pivotal roles in this story are Drake, Slone’s boyhood mentor, David, Kat’s former fiancé, and new friends from Slone’s club. The story briefly looks at the connection between Kat’s attack and David’s shady dealings, and Sloan’s plan for vengeance against the man who killed his sister. The book ends with a surprise visitor who feels that Sloan has ruined her life and has to fix the mess that he has created for her.
Overall the story line is positive, filled with character growth, emotions, friendship and love, with an underlying current of danger from several fronts, and a thread to our couple’s relationship. The writing remains strong and very visual, the sexual scenes tasteful, Hot and supportive to the growing and changing relationship between Sloan and Kat.

This picks up a couple of days where book 1 left off. I'm enjoying this story. What started out as a "proposition" is leading into more than either of them had planned. A mystery is starting to reveal itself and a truth has come to light. I like both characters. Some good sex and a HOT spanking scene. Some of the dialogue is a bit choppy, but not enough to totally tick me off. Will be reading book 3 next.

Sinceramente cuando conoci esta serie y decidi leerla esperaba que la trama se desarrollara de una forma diferente, con eso no digo que sea una mala lectura pero tampoco alcanza a ser una lectura memorable.
Cumple su funcion de entretener y es perfecta para pasar una tarde leyendo.

Part of the Plus One Trilogy. Must start with the first book - The Proposition. I loved the entire series and had trouble putting it down at night. It has everything you need; a little romance, a little suspense and a lot of hotness! I have enjoyed reading from this author and look forward to more works from her.

This book was just as good if not better than the first one in the series. Kat and Sloane are perfect for each other. I can not wait until the 3rd and final book. Is it September yet???
