Using the same D20 game system as the 3rd Edition fantasy roleplaying rules, sword & sorcery books provide fantasy gamers with a host of new core rulebooks, campaign sourcebooks, challenging adventures and game accessories. Sword & sorcery is the largest independent publisher of D20 material, with authors such as the father of fantasy himself Gary Gygax, and Monte cook, the co-creator of 3rd Edition and author of the 3rd Edition DMG.
The Middle Levels is where you'll decide if you really want to go through with this massive, grinding slog of a dungeon to reach its end point, or leave it dangling as one of those things your players just shiver about whenever you mention it.
There are plenty of points along the way which can serve as good termini to this little foray, but if you're anything like me, you'll want to see it through to the end.
Challenge levels are all over the board in this module, which I find to be a positive. It keeps players on their toes, and the module's maps make referencing locations and prepping future encounters fairly easy to do as the DM.
