About the author

I remember reading about Texas in an Illinois grade school and thinking I probably would never see the great state where real cowboys ride their horses to work every day and everyone wears western hats and boots. Then again, I never dreamed I would elope in Gibraltar with a Navy man who hailed from the Lone Star state. But here I am, smack dab in the middle of Texas, still married to the same wonderful man and boasting not only the greatest daughter on the planet, but three dogs that are as big as long horns.

In between grade school and now, my journey through life has taken me all over the United States, as well as many places throughout the world. Using my travel experience as a guide and peppering in interesting characters I’ve met along the way, I love nothing better than weaving tales of romance and leaving readers yearning for adventures of their own.

Before I begin, a side-note to Bama. On this cover the woman is feeling to make sure the man has both nipples...I like her style. I also think she's checking for other body parts too...very smart girl!

4 1/2 Stars!! Fun, sexy, friends to lovers’ story!!
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! Dean “Dagger” Gregory…YUMMY!!! I loved Mia’s sass, snark, and her determination, what a fun character.

Dagger has had hands off attitude when it comes to forming any kind of relationship with his best friend’s sister. Mia has other ideas and when Dagger finally cracks…Mia is very persuasive, relentless, the girl’s got moves…the sparks fly…more like fireworks exploding! KABOOM! Once Dagger gives himself permission to go after what he’s wanted for years, he’s like a changed man…RAWRRRRR!!! My heart be still!! The banter between Mia and her man “Dean” was fun, quirky, and lets us see a whole crazy side of this adorable hulking, sexy SEAL!

“Dean posed for her, flexing his biceps as he turned his clenched hand this way and that. His dagger tattoo looked amazingly real on his arm. “These are military-issued guns. Cocked, loaded, and ready for action.” He kissed each enormous mound. “Impressed?”
Boy, was she ever. Telling him though would only stroke his already hulking ego. “Are they inflated to help you stay buoyant when you’re on water missions? Do the other SEALs tie a rope around your ankle and toss you out to drowning victims?”
He shook his head and smiled, creating the most adorable crinkles near the corners of his eyes. “You are a clever girl.”

Crack me up!! Love this couple, they were perfect for each other and their chemistry was amazing!!!

A great second installment with a fun, sensual story, and likeable characters. Even though the ending was somewhat conclusive, I’m curious to see how Dagger and Mia’s story plays out. I’m getting the feeling we’re going to get a couple in each book and I’m hoping the last book will be a tell all, involving all the characters that were profiled, telling us where they are in their relationships, or at least that’s what I’m hoping. This is different way to do a series, but I like it!

Mia's my kind of girl...she likes biteable bums too! "She couldn’t be sure, but his tighty-whities didn’t exactly look military issued. The story from best friend's sister to a lover isn't a fast one and after twenty years of dancing around the subject Mia finally makes Dagger gave and that causes a landslide of doubt and fear of repeating his dad's mistakes in Dagger. So the sex is hot but what is he hurts Mia, like his dad did his mom when he took a walk, a permanent one. What's a SEAL to do signs up for another ten years with the navy or try if the perfection he's found with Mia will last a life time?

Poor Dagger, he was so out of his comfort zone when Mia decided to make a last effort in seducing him, of course the past twenty years he'd been hiding his desire wasn't helping. I liked Dagger I really did, he was quite the creative guy in the art of making love ( and I would have hoped few more explicit pouts in bed described ;) ) but he's fear of hurting Mia almost costing their relationship, or a budding one had me worried, bad Dagger!

Oh I loved Mia! Take charge girl, smart as hell, witty as fox and not afraid to go after what she wants, all the traits of a great heroine! By far one of my favorite heroines in this anthology!

The romance between Mia and Dagger was interesting from the beginning, seduction quickly turned from lust to full on fuckfest ( hey, Dagger's words, not mine ;) ), these two were such a good match body and soul and Dagger having second thoughts gave me the scares! How rude, but like all good romance there is a happy ending, but what it is I won't tell ya, you'll just have to read it.

Dagger’s Edge is the second book in the SEALs On Fire by Brenna Zinn. This series is a collection of stories by different authors. I read several book in this series and by this author and have liked them both, so when I came across this book I had to review it.

Dagger is a Navy Seal who is on leave a few weeks. He is doing a friend a favor and checking up on his friend’s sister, Mia. Dagger is a hot and sexy man who is every women’s dream. I loved that Dagger was really trying to do what he thought was the right thing regardless of what he wanted.

Mia spends all the time she is with Dagger flittering and coming on to him with no reaction until the day that Dagger’s will power goes out the window. Mia is determined to get Dagger in bed. She has been in love with him for years.

The chemistry between Dagger and Mia is sizzling hot. The sex scenes are hot and spicy. I loved the story just the way it is. I would not change a thing. Overall, this is one hot and sexy read. Ms. Zinn did it again and I can’t wait to read more stories her. I also can’t wait to read more stories in this series.

Dagger & Brice were best friends. Brice's little sister is Mia who is 2 years younger then Dagger. Yet, beyond him in school & most of his classmates when she was advanced to his grade. She was in love with Dagger from the day Brice brother brought him home with him & since she was his little sis & taboo to him Dagger ignored her. So, Mia used her smarts for good & bad to get his attention. Now all these years later the seal team is using Brice's home in Miami & he asks Dagger to check on is sis for him. Here's where it gets interesting & secrets, fears, & dreams are revealed. This is another sweet romantic erotica. This is the third in the series that I have read & although it was good I feel there was something missing. I hope that there is going to be a follow up to all these stories because I have to say I hate how they all end. No closure. But, I still recommend.

I enjoyed this little short story of SEALs on holiday in the Florida Keys, and was absolutely delighted to find this is a series written by several authors. This little story by Brenna Zinn was delightful and hot as well as well written. Dagger has come back into town to check on his buddy's little sister who isn't so little anymore and he's been hooked on her longer than he should have been. Don't worry, she's takes the edge off. Even better, this story has a happily-ever-after or rather the strong indication that it's coming. I will definitely keep my eyes out for more by Ms. Zinn.

Dagger's Edge is the story of Dean Gregory and Mia Benson. On leave time Brice, Dagger's childhood friend give him and his SEAL team members the use of his house in Key West, asking only the Dagger check on his sister, Mia. Mia is sunbathing nude by her pool when Dagger comes to visit and things get going from that point. The chemistry is explosive; the love denied flames, as she fights to make him realize he has found the woman to meet his need to be a one-woman man for life... I love stories where the military man gets his woman.

Very hot and this is the first book by this author I have read I can't wait to read more. I really look forward to sitting down with a longer one from her. This is a great erotic series. Love that this heroine has Dagger on his toes and running circles :)

***NOTE this is an Erotic Romance the book revolves around sex if that isn't what you are looking for then don't pick up this book. If you are looking so something short and NOT so sweet but very hot this is a great series.***

Dagger's Edge was a very enjoyable read. I haven't read any works from this author before, but this one pretty much sealed the deal for me. I will definitely be looking more into her other works.

I loved the author's writing style and voice. Dagger's Edge was the perfect blend of heat, humor, and sensuality. For a short story, the author definitely delivered with this one and left me thoroughly satisfied in the end.

Dagger and Mia were an awesome pair and the chemistry between them was sizzling. Their sexy times together generated enough heat to melt my kindle. Also, I don't think I can look at a frozen Popsicle the same again ;-) *fans self*

Although this story was definitely erotic, it was certainly romance as well. The author blended the two perfectly together creating a hard-to-put down story. For a quick, steamy, and fun read, Dagger's Edge by Brenna Zinn is one I would definitely recommend.

This is book two in the SEALs on Fire series which is a multi-author series. I'm currently reading them out of order, and there isn't too much to give away if you do it this way. This is another super steamy short, that is actually pretty decent. The set up isn't anything original-- Dagger is best friends with Mia's older brother and rather than facing his emotions, kept her at arm's distance.

They're explosively hot together, and I like the way that Dagger really cares for Mia and wants to protect her. Their relationship is one that I'd like to see more of, as this ends rather abruptly. Dagger is very much an alpha-male and a 'man's man', but there are a few moments where he's a giant massive dork. "Release the kracken" made me snort out loud and lightened the mood a bit, making the story even more believable.

Love the premise of the book, but I wish it had been a full length book and not a 61 page short story.

Loved Dagger and I loved the back history that we got about his friendship with Mia's family, but I would have loved for things to not wrap up so quickly. I'd love to have more of a conflict from Dagger about whether he's going to reenlist or get out now and I wish we could have seen just how Brice (Dagger's best friend and Mia's brother) reacted to finding out about Dagger and Mia.

And like someone else had said, I will never again think the same way about a strawberry popsicle after Dagger's Edge!!

I liked parts of this quite a bit but I did think that Dean/Dagger was a little goofy at times. Unexpectedly so. Maybe it was the bicep kissing thing that threw me for a loop. I don't know. Still, it was interesting and the sex was hot.

3.0 RATING- the third book in the series I've read and my least favorite. I find the "sister of my best friend" forbidden attraction a bit irritating in general so that definitely affected my rating. I'm sure most readers would find this a quick, sexy read (similar in quality to the other books in this collection).

I liked the writing of this book the best,
This was one hot book, with both the hero and the heroine being pretty sexy and the dialogue was even better. Even though the story was very short, it was believable and I could see the love they had for each other. It is a very short story but made me want to explore more stories by this author.

Navy SEAL Dean 'Dagger' Gregory is back home in Key West on leave.
It's also home to his best friend, film star Brice Benson and his smart as a whip younger sister, Mia.
Dagger has lusted after her since they were in school.
What he doesn't know is that Mia feels the same.
Of course the bro code means that she is off limits - like that is gonna last long.
It's nicely done, in particular Daggers' fear of commitment and Mia's ability to turn off the smart aleck remarks when a serious tone is needed.
At just 60 pages it is a fast and run read.

The SEALs are staying at the Key West home of Dagger's childhood friend Brice who happens to be a movie star. Brice's sister Mia and Dagger have been sniffing around each other for years and Dagger has stayed away and not made a move due to his friendship with Brice.

Mia has wanted Dagger (real name Dean) forever and she's ready to make her move. Hot sex follows. The story ends the same as the previous book with the hero being paged back to duty.

Your dropped right into a love story that's been twenty years in the making. Dagger had always treated Mia with a ten foot pole knowing if he left her get any closer her would probably maul her. Being his best friends sister he feels torn by his lustful thoughts and his fears of their future. Mia decides she isn't taking the brush off any more and decides the direct approach is going to get her man. Her plan of seduction is thorough and Dagger quickly succumbs to her many charms. Now if only he had time to finish that strawberry Popsicle.......

Why do I read these? Oh yeah, the smut. A You-are-not-who-I-thought-you-were's and Didn't-I-know-you-when-you-were-13-and-practically-had-a-Cyberman-helmet-on-to-straighten-your-teeth-while-your-face-was-just-a-giant-pimple-but-OMG-milk-does-a-body-GOOD!'s

The writing was okay but the sex scenes were not that plentiful or descriptive enough.
