Getting in the party mood for a weekend away with his SEAL teammates is no easy deal for “Zeus” Calderon. He’s hung up on a woman he saved from terrorists months ago, but he should be able to forget a gutsy blonde reporter who showed resilience and humor under fire. Shouldn’t he?
Kim Stansfield got the instant hots for the hunky Navy SEAL who led her out of harm’s way—and she’s got proof Zeus feels the same about her. He’s stubborn, but she’s devised a plan to conquer him.
When she shows up in Key West and surprises him on the beach, Zeus learns that once in a lifetime a man meets a woman he can’t forget—and every day without her is no easy day.

4 1/2 Stars!! Zeus conquered this series! My favorite!
First things first! Note to Bama - This cover's for you babe!! One nipple in full view with another one peeking out.
Jesus "Zeus" Calderon rescued Kim Stansfield from her kidnappers in Egypt and hasn't been able to get her out of his mind. She's recovered from her ordeal, and now she's come to Key West to claim the man who stole her heart, as he stole her away from her captors. They've danced around the idea of a relationship long enough, even though it's considered taboo, they know what they feel for each other is real and not some hero/captor syndrome.
"“Will you invite me into your house so that we can talk or do you just want your dangly bits to freeze and fall off in the night breeze?” Articulate and precise, her words tickled his funny bone and he was determined to give as well as he got. “As you can well see, my bits are not dangling.” She tipped her head to one side, her moonlit pale hair billowing in the updrafts. “Hmm, do they ever?” “When you’re around, they’re ready for duty.”
Are they ever!! The story was fun, sexy and the banter between these two was smart and witty. This series is mostly about the sex, but I really enjoyed the chemistry between Zeus and Kim and the maturity of their characters. They know the deal, he's a SEAL and she's a reporter, and yet they are willing to work around each other, and make sacrifices for a shot at a real relationship. I really enjoyed this one. Plus the Crème de la crème....I got my epilogue!! Finally an author who gets it and it was a good one. Filled with sex, hope and a bright future for two characters who stole my heart. Conquering Zeus was a fitting final book in this series.
Okay you Sassy Seven authors, or should I say Sassy Six, since Cerise DeLand did it right, I don't have a gripe with her. I need to know what happens to the characters in books 1-6. Please give me the closure I need so I can sleep at night. I'll be waiting, and waiting and waiting....
★★★ - A sweet erotic novella with a nice epilog and a beautiful HEA.
He is a Navy SEAL who rescued a kidnapped journalist in the Middle East. Now, much later, he's on leave, she shows up there and that makes him very, very happy. It's ONE NIGHT, a lot (just) steam. Maybe 40-50 pages.
And what about him, is he a guy to love? As I wrote to a friend; He is the U.S. Navy SEAL, Jesus (Zeus) Calderon with Latin American ancestry. High, large, shapely, indefatigable in good physical condition but also a real sweetie who "kept back" while waiting for her. Yes, yet another magnificent male examples.
In summary, I think it was sweet and hot with a lovely ending and a really nice epilogue.
A HUGE thanks to my GR friend, Mitzi, for letting me know that this is a free Kindle book today, 3/19/13! This is a popular series and I THINK each book works as a standalone, so grab it while the price won't get any better!!!

I really enjoyed this one and I liked the fact that unlike the others in the series I've read so far, this one had a short epilogue at the end. It was still as short as the rest of the series, a quick read, but it was very good and I really liked Zeus and Kim together!
This the second to last book of the series. With all of the books, there's a lot of hot sex, great characters but the story goes too fast. This book is a bit different than the others as it has a bit of a mission in it. Its the only book in the series to do that.
It also gives a bit more information into the future which is a tiny closing of the loop to know if its a happiliy ever after.
This is number 7 in a series of seal romances written by different authors about the same team. It’s short and sexy and this is the only one with an epilogue. Good read.

Conquering Zeus is a very sexy story. Zeus and Kim have been dancing around each other for ages. It’s now their time, but will one steamy night in Key West be enough?
Zeus has been battling his desire for Kim since the moment he rescued her. He has to find a way to purge her from his system, but his body isn’t cooperating. The weekend away with his buddies should have cured his thoughts of her, with the countless women available to him in Key West, but Zeus is discovering even sexy hot women will not take away the images of Kim in his mind.
Kim is a strong woman who has taken life by the horns. Reporting in war torn countries doesn’t terrify her, but thoughts of losing the man that has haunted her dreams does. In a last ditch effort, she is going to claim the main that owns her heart. This past prisoner of war is going to capture her soldier, one way or the other.
Unknown to Zeus, Kim has followed him to Key West. They both have jobs that can alter their lives in an instant. Neither knowing where their passion will lead, but they both decide that life is too short and take the chance. Thank goodness they did!
Conquering Zeus is a story that I enjoyed as a novella, but I think I would have devoured as a novel. Zeus and Kim had a back story that intrigued me. While I enjoyed how they finally came together, I really wanted to know about their past. Ms. DeLand set up an amazing back story for these two and I wanted more of that and still do. Their adventure was meant for the pages, not our imagination.
This story is still very good. I enjoyed how, once they decided to go for it, they went in full board. These are two very strong people. They have to be considering their professions. Zeus has found the right woman for him in Kim and the epilogue is such a wonderful treat that it may have been the best part of the story for me. Conquering Zeus is as hot as a balmy Key West night and shouldn’t be missed if you love stories built upon very strong characters and smoldering sexy nights.
Once again, I am a sucker for the strong, silent type falling for a lady who absolutely unravels him. Zeus and Kim are sexy and sweet and they made me smile. While this isn't *exactly* a friends to lovers scenario, I liked that they had met each other previously (under some rather hair-raising circumstances) and they had been battling their simmering attraction for a while. All that tension was bound to blow. And blow it did. Added bonus, Zeus and his midnight skinny dipping. That's a mental picture I can live with. For real!

Another good book in this series I think this story was a good one in this series but not the best. It seemed as if it was an overview of what should have been a longer story with a little more reasoning behind why the hero agonizes so much over becoming a couple with the woman he rescued. I felt that part was not sufficiently described, i do like these stories very much as they are my favorite type involving a military hero, but they are too short to really make the love and romance believable.
The premise of this one was promising, as the back story was engaging and interesting. It was something that I hadn't seen before--something that I hadn't seen done this way before. Let's put it that way. However, it's a stretch for me in the believability department even though this is fiction and some things have liberty taken. It's a good story, Zeus and Kim have amazing chemistry together, and I like the fact that they build on an actual relationship. This story went by super fast though, and while I appreciate the epilogue, I felt that there needed to be a bit more to this one.
Compared to all of the other Seals on Fire that I have read, which were all of them, I feel cheated with this one. I feel like we did not really get to know these two very well as characters. And just as they were getting to start talking it jumps to the epilogue. There is no explanation as to how, why when & where the blood count came along until the end you get it. Still a good read but not the best. 3 1/3 stars -4
Zeus rescued reporter Kim and can't get her out of his mind. They meet up again in Florida where SEAL team Arapaho are enjoying some R&R and the sparks fly.
This one had a nice epilogue hence the extra 1/2 star.
Loved this sweet sexy short story. This is the only book in series with a epilogue and HEA that doesn't leave the HEA up to reader. Great series. Only wish it had more ending to each book other the just leaving it as a suggestion but still amazing writers.
My favorite from the series. I appreciate the Epilogue, which provided a glimpse of their life after two years. Glad to see how things worked out for them eventually.
