This book is beyond anything I have read so far this year. It was gritty and instantly became a book that I know for sure I will go back read over and over again. Kadisha is not the one to play with, she had to grow up fast and find out who was responsible for kidnapping her father, unaliving her sister, and sending her young brother into the hospital. It's so many enemies lurking in the dark that I can't wait to see the rest of story unravel so I can understand why everybody is after Monster, Kadisha's father. So mnay twists and turns in this book. I loved reading every bit of it.

I am truly Mr. Sullivan's #1 fan of every book written. However, this has ALWAYS been my utmost favorite of them all. This man is truly a genius writer, which in my opinion is so much more than an author. He literally puts words in a way that makes me connect with every single character. It is honestly as though the words came to life and took on the form of a movie as each page turned. Great work, great read!!!!

Living a sheltered life, Kadisha has never wanted for anything. As she sets to embark on new ventures in her young adulthood, tragedy befalls her family and herself. When people to trust are few and far in between, she must enact some life lessons her father taught her and take on the role of a gangster's daughter.

This was a good read which had an engaging plot. I like the fact of the 'who done it' theme going on throughout which kept the storyline flowing. There were a few issues with errors. Also I do not like when the spelling of a character's name gets changed/misspelled or when the wrong name is used in a scene. Other than that, it was a good read.

Fire! This was fast paced and kept the action coming by the page. I couldn't put it down once I made it past page three. Kadisha is surrounded by fools and people she really don't know if she can trust. Her family is a hot mess! I hope her father is alive but I can also see him being behind all this but now knowing that they'd go at his kids the way they did. Big Bee I don't think had anything to do with it but I also don't think Mellow has anything to do with it. Stevie I find him suspect though. I can't wait to read the next one.

The story wasn't bad- good characters, good dialogue, and enough of a draw to get the reader really invested in events. Solid 3 star read. Lots of serious typos though, like "put" instead of "pot" and characters' names being misspelled, which all distracted from the story. Also, a heads up- there's no justice served or resolution in this book... you will have to buy book 2 or forever live in uncertainty...

Wow, I loved this story. Can anyone be trusted, mother, auntie, Mellow or Steve...huh???? Just a question cause the truth will cone to light eventually and Kadisha will make the right choice, hopefully...Or will she have a comeback. :-). Let's hope that what her father tried to instill in her is used and fast at that. Excellent read and ready for part 2.

Definitely looking forward to her turning all the way up in part 2. Totally #Teammellow so I hope he is who he is portraying himself to be. Great Job Leo.

Omg this book was off the chain from the start. I love this book. I love the twist and turns of the book. I didn't like what happened to the kids but I understand the concept of the story. Now on to part 2 to see what happens and see if the truth will come out. 5 star banger. Great job Leo Sullivan.

Gangster

Kadisha has to grow up really fast. I feel bad about what happened to her & her family. I hoping Little Ike will pull through. I wonder if Kadisha Aunt is going to try and get all the money before Kadisha have a chance to get it

Great read and a page turner at that!

I was happy that someone pulled through all the tragedy that had befallen the Spencer family. With no one to trust and nothing to live for aspect revenge. A gangster daughter is left with nobody but herself.

Was this supposed to be a short story?
Not as good as Life and Dangerous. I am kind of disappointed.
