I can't say enough good things about this author or this book series. These books are just so good. I love the story of Canada, her family and friends. If there was a zombie apocalypse, I would want her in my corner. :)

Review of Learning To Live (Zombie Overload Series 3) by C.M. Wright

OMG the ending!! The author leaves us with a huge cliffhanger and so many unanswered questions! I am hooked on this series big time!

Starting a review with the ending? Not a good thing, so lets start again......

This book follows on immediately from where Fighting To Live (Zombie Overload Series 2) finished. Having arrived at her sisters, Canada manages to take stock of what her life has become, and assess her injuries, for at least a short amount of time, before all hell breaks loose again!

Receiving a call, from a friend of her husband, Canada and Jake set out on another rescue mission. This leads to a very emotional reunion, along with a lot of dead zombies.

After reading the first 2 books I assumed the author would give Canada a bit of a break. Boy was that a huge mistake to make. If anything Canada comes out of this book far more worse for wear!

Throughout everything, though, she never loses her attitude. If anything she comes out the other end even stronger if that is possible, given that she ends up even more battered and bruised than before. The following extracts show, yet again, the kind of sassy woman Canada is -

“Shut up, Jake, and put your big girl panties on. Let's kill some of these bitches.”

“Unfortunately, she's still unturned. That's really too bad. I have a gun ready and everything!”

“I violently push Jake away from me and all the best of my bipolar rage comes out in one solid punch to Jake's face. Blood sprays the window beside him as his nose explodes and his head jerks to the side.
Jake brings his hand up to his nose and his already shocked look gets even more so when he sees the blood smeared across the back of his hand."

I just stare at him for a few moments, not joining in his laughter.
"No. Because I haven't killed you...yet. But give it time.”

However this next extract actually had me in tears, so funny -

“Ah think Duzzin give me zum good sheet!"
"What do you mean?"
"Ahm high az hell. I zee two lep-ra-conz sitt'n up front witchu. Don't let dem take all da gold!" I giggle, and as I'm falling back into unconsciousness again, I hear three different men laugh.”

Yet again the author has mixed the right amounts of humour, bravery and zombies to make this such a good read. In fact this is my favourite book so far in the series.

The author throws a few curveballs in - amnesia for one - which I loved. But the main one is just one word - Sara! Thus we get to the cliffhanger ending. I for one cannot wait to see what the author brings in her next book. What lies ahead for Canada, Sara, Jake and everyone else along the way?

The further adventures of Canada. I confess myself slightly addicted to C.M. Wright’s Zombie Overload series. Book two ends with a bit of a cliffhanger (understatement), and it practically holds a gun to your head until you buy the third book. The third installment does not disappoint. There’s not much to say about the plot without spoiling things, so let’s go with this: questions are answered, more questions are raised, and then there are zombies. If you enjoyed the first two books, grab this one as well.

There are still some formatting issues, but at this point I’m just telling myself to get over it. The paragraph indents are very small, but the text is justified and that makes it so much less distracting. I’ll be looking forward to the next release by C.M. Wright.

I love this series! This book is great. I'm glad that they finally get all of the family together. I still want Sara taken out... Can't believe she is still here... but I'm really excited to read book four and find out how Sara handles Canada's rage... Jake tries to cross a line but honestly when isn't he when it comes to Canada... We are introduced to Dustin in this book who is awesome... :O) They find a lot more survivors while rescuing Canada's dad... And of course the men are always mad at Canada because she of course is the brains of the operation.. What would they do without her?? Seriously!! Definitely a Must Read!!! :O)

How do I tell you how awesome this book was, without spoilers?! The drama and emotions between Will, Jake and Canada boil over in this book. I didn't know whether to cry or scream, or even jump up and down. Though not a movie, I still groan and yell when something happens! This book as with the rest, keep you on your toes completely. Edge of the seat action, Canada is awesome and funny, and I feel like that would be me if the Zombie Apocalypse ever happens. You just have got to read this whole series. It's amazing.

Picking right up where book 2 left off, this one is even better! I don't want to say too much, because I'm afraid to spoil the plot, but I CAN say that Canada is one heck of a strong woman! She doesn't put up with anything and she fights for what she loves and believes in. There are a few twists that I didn't see coming and that made me just want to read faster to figure out what happened next. Love love love!

Ok so you sucked me in so much with book 1/2 combo that I HAD to go straight to amazon and get book 3 and 4. The cliffhanger at the end of fighting to live had me so pissed off and desperate for more. I was off to amazon so fast I made my own head spin. I'm not one to leave spoilers but WTF CANADA, WILL AND JAKE?!?!?! Really?! As much as you are drawn both male characters Jake is relentless, even more so after Will's return. Then that whole mess with her memory. I've been reading this to my hubbs...you know zombie bonding time...and he HATES Jake. Every time I say his name he gets a look like Will would get and makes crappy comments about why he isn't dead yet and if he were Will he would've killed him by now. We both questioned Canada and her not searching for Will herself. No matter how injured or how much pain she was in she always took part in everything else so for her not to help search for her hubbs i found that unbelievable. Like i thought for sure that they would have to pull her back and keep her safe from endangering herself further. I really thought she would run into a zombie laden house to find him by herself. but she did nothing but stare at the house...it was hard for me to believe that. I can get that she was in shock and it's diff when it's someone that close to you but Will was her everything and to just be like okay and leave him, nah that's not her. I get why it went that way. Opening up the story line for Jake and his bipolar ass. Ya I think he's worse than her. As awesome as it is they are willing to gave save everyone, where in the hell are they gonna stay?!?!? they don't have these apartments built yet and i'm freaking out all the noise from the house is gonna call the horde....the big one.....the one so massive it tears the house down to the foundation! But I will tell you this....I'm sooooooooo looking forward to reading about Sara getting what's coming to her and I want to know what was in that fucking picture!!!!! Lucky for me I don't have to wait for book 4 woooooohooooooo! hope you are almost done with book 5 or i'm gonna be bipolar all over your ass till i get it ;) (oh there were errors in this book, just a heads up to ya)

This series MUST be read in ORDER! The first book is Dying To Live (Zombie Overload Series) and book two is Fighting To Live (Zombie Overload Series) . But all in all it is awesome :)

This is not your ordinary apocalyptic zombie story. The characters learn and grow along the way (even if they have no idea how this happened or what is going on) helping more people and gathering what(and who) they need along the way.

Canada truly rules the apocalypse with dark humor, witty banter, quick thinking, and true courage keeping the group as safe as possible in a screwed up world where although there seems to be no conspiracies no one is who or what they seem entirely. She cuts through the bs and keeps the flock together no matter what. Seems like she is singlehandedly rebuilding a familial community out of a rag tag band of survivors :)

This book contains tons of action, adventure, chills, thrills and spills! There is a bit of romance along for the ride along with suspense and darkly morbid humor with a side of slapstick... Because what's a zombie apocalypse without that? These books keep getting better and better! Can't wait to read the next one...and will be totally sad when the series ends!

**this book is suitable for adult readers only

This is the furthering adventures of Canada and her family just trying to survive in a zombie over run world. I am now totally addicted to C.M. Wright's (the zombie queen) books. The last book ended with a cliffhanger so I am sure this one will also end with a cliffhanger. This book begins right where the last one left off. Canada is worried about Will and Jake is trying to be supportive. Canada is beaten, bruised and emotionally exhausted. There is a lot of drama going on between Canada and Jake which slows down the zombie action. Canada and Will have a tumultuous relationship to begin with, without the addition of Jake. Canada has already mentioned that she is bi-polar, so her emotions are all over the place. I personally don't like either man and if it was me, I would shoot them both. Because of all the emotional turmoil in this book, I wasn't liking it as much as the first two.

I am not usually a fan of zombies, but I really like this series!! I had a hard time putting the books down!! I had to know what will happen next! My only small complraint is the cover. I am really glad my friend told me to read them. The covers do not do the books any justice. They are too creepy for the storyline.

Ugh Will, Canada and Jake have worked my nerves the choices they make smh. Yes I really am enjoying the series but Will needs to stop acting like a big Baby and Canada is a want to be hero. The zombies are totally out of control and this book has you going from one thing to another so there is always something interesting happening. One to the next book

Wow what a story

This is the third story to the series.

We rejoin Canada and gang after arriving at Canada's sisters house after leaving will at Rosie's believing he had been killed.

How will Canada cope losing love of her life? Will she give into Jake's advances? What caused the zombies? How are they evolving?

I was so engrossed in this story. I don't usually like zombie stories, but I can't stop reading this series. This story made me gasp, laugh and cry. I recommend this series.

Learning to Live by C.M.Wright is the third episode in the Zombie Overload Series. This is my favorite thus far. Canada gets a chance to be protected for once. But it doesn't last. Soon, she is in control and as strong, smart, confident, and sarcastic as ever. This book is overflowing with action and suspense, and so much laugh out loud humor. Ready for 4!
