This is my seventeenth book that I have received and read from Goodreads. This is the first book from this author Alistair McIntyre, but not the last. This story made for an excellent science fiction book. This book would be a great read for anyone interested in the military and or science fiction. I found it interesting how the author in the story showed the problems military personnel face when it comes to personal problems and the military mission, and how the mission of the military comes first. I enjoyed the different plots in the story and the way the author brought them together. The way the author ended the story surprised me. I would like to thank the author for signing of the book for me. I've already told some of my friends how interesting this book is,and they should pick up a book from this author. I will be reading more from this author.

This was a very interesting book to read. There was action and suspense from page one and the characters, with a little stretch of the imagination could exists in to days society. The story revolves around an unknown event involving an unknown species healing the people. of the earth. As a certain group of mankind is won't to do, this process needs to be controlled and weaponized. There were shadow organizations, crooked mega corporations, and crooked military personnel. There were also innocent personnel duped into doing things that they wouldn't normally do. Oh forgot, there were also two different species of aliens fighting a war that landed on planet Earth.

Super intriguing premise and (I usually hate it when people say this) shocking twist. The garbage in the middle about the military-industrial complex conspiracy nearly ruined what could have been a transcendent book if the author had focused on the initial premise and expanded it.
