I memang suka gilaaa buku Herna Diana. Antara semua, this is my fav after akhirnya aku kahwin! I just reread the whole book for the second time, and still rasa macam baru baca first time. This book sumpah simple gila, yet penuh dengan komedi.
If I’m being honest, I’m actually not a big fan cerita pasal duda/janda. Entahlah. There’s nothing wrong being a divorcee or a single parent. Just I’d always choose buku yang pasal anak teruna and anak dara. But this book, is just sooo good sampai tahap I dapat baca balik. The character of the duda (hero dia) tak annoying. Even though from the way was Razif was written, dalam cerita ni, the author tak ada pun buat macam Razif is some kind of ‘hot duda’ (eww gross) macam most books buat. Though I can’t lie the gentleman’s a solid 10/10. Which is very nice. Cause we really don’t need to over sexually romanticise janda/duda so much. Like they’re just like the other adults in this planets with kids.
Dalam buku ni, dia punya love tu lambat sikit, berbanding other malay books. Which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. But it is mine. I usually cepat menyampah dengan cerita yang antara characters yang main adalah kanak-kanak actually. Cause let’s be real, kids are annoying. But Rayyan, and Ain tak as annoying. In fact, diorang sangat-sangat cute!! Rayyan and Ain acted like a normal toddler and kindergartener.
Some of my favorite parts of this cerita, woukd probably be the scenes where Rayyan would heret the lead female, and try to ruin his auntie’s plan. In malay books, we rarely get to see a relationship between aunts/uncles that loves their
nieces/nephews just as much as their real children. To be honest, this is perfectly normal. It’s how my life is too. But sometimes, in malay books there’s too much potrayals of evil aunts/uncles. So it’s absolutely magnificent that something more realistic being portrayed.
