Being back in the Sunshine State wasn’t something Briar Thompson was looking forward to, but it was Christmas and she couldn’t wait to see her grandparents. The second she landed in Florida with her boyfriend, Chase McCree, she was accepting an invitation to one of her parents’ fancy parties. Her Montana cowboy soon finds himself wearing a tux, and it seems that this Christmas isn’t exactly filled with holiday cheer.
I'm J.C. Isabella, and I love to write. I've been writing for about ten years now. Mostly it was just for fun, for me. But my friends liked my work, so I decided to self publish. I hope you enjoy the rest of my site, and the books I have written.
The reason I chose to write romance, is because I love a happy ending. In YA there are so many lessons to be learned, so many firsts to be had. Why not write about first kisses, first crushes, or trying to explain to your father you were bitten by your boyfriend, who happens to be a werewolf?
One thing I will always promise in my books is a happy ending. I've always hated getting to the end of a really great novel, and feeling let down because it didn't end the way I thought it should. So about ten years ago, I decided to write a book. I remember it was about these kids who hijack a boat to find buried treasure in Mexico....
Needless to say, my writing has come a long way since my teen years, and I know I have room to improve, but I feel guilty having these books sitting in my computer, with no one to read them. So I'm putting them out for the world to see!
I try not to take myself too seriously. I'm not an editor, nor am I a total wiz when it comes to grammar or language. I try my darndest though, and I hope to give people an enjoyable read that is nice a break from reality.
I put a lot of work into what I do, and I appreciate people reading my work. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Chase McCree I cannot get enough of you! You steal my heart in every time. Please J.C. Isabella gives us more of Chase and Briar. They make the perfect couple.
4.5 stars Love this! I don't remember laughing this much with the other two McCree stories.
For me this story was: 1. Funny 2. Cute 3. Sometimes heart felt 4. Sometimes a little sad 5. Finding away to stand up for your self 6. Quick & enjoyable read
I really loved: 1. The grandparents antics & holiday attire 2. Chase & Briar's holiday gifts from the grandparents. IT'S A RIOT! 3. Chase vs Briars dad showdown 4. Grandma's nickname for Briar's mom & putting Briar's dad in his place 5. The airport distraction conversation 6. The shotgun wedding convo with Aunt Millie 7. Briar and the Pastor's wife's convo 8. The stop sign kiss vs. Pastors wife
The McCrees. What can I say. I love these stories. I sure hope we see more about Tuck, Lexi, Maria and Dustin.
A McCree Christmas is the third book in the Chasing McCree series. I’ve read this whole series in approximately a week, and I couldn’t put it down. In A McCree Christmas, Chase and Brair go up to visit Brair’s family for the holidays. When they arrive, Brair’s parents are on their way to a Christmas party held by the Mayor of their city. Brair and Chase agree to go to the party, and have an amazing time getting ready. Once they arrive at the party, Brair’s ex-boyfriend shows up, and everything starts going horribly wrong. After Brair’s parents arrive home from the party, they immediately kick her and Chase out. Chase and Brair decided to go to her grandparents’ house where they are told some heartbreaking news.
Brair Thompson is Chase McCree’s wife. They met two years ago when Chase was living with his mom, while Brair was stumbling around the park. When they met, they instantly fell in love and from there everything was amazing. When she lived in New York she was the typical rich girl. Always wearing makeup and constantly wearing her cheerleading uniform. Chase McCree is the soon-to-be owner of the McCree ranch in Montana. Chase is a down to earth guy, who has never loved anything or anyone as much as Brair.
A McCree Christmas takes place in the 21st century. Both Chase and Brair go to New York to see Brair’s parents, grandparents, and Chase’s mom. Until both of them travel back to Montana to stay with Chase’s family at the ranch.
The thematic connection in A McCree Christmass would have to be falling for someone who you wouldn’t even expect to be in your social group. Also in this book, friendship was a key. Brair loses some horrible friends that she thought were great, and gained some new amazing ones.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the first and second book of this series. It adds all the little details from the book you never wanted to end. This book is like the usual fairytale that came to life. Anyone 9th grade and up could read this book because there is some mature content in it.
“A McCree Christmas” is the third book of the “Chasing McCree” books. Blair and Chase are going to New York, as promised, to visit for the holidays. They are stuck going to a huge party for the mayor with a lot of rich people. It ends with Blair punching someone in the face. They left and went to grandma’s. Grandpa is sick and they try to do whatever they can to help him.
Characters in this book are Blair, the city girl turned country. Her boyfriend Chase, who is from Montana but his mom lives in New York. Blair’s parents which are rude, stuck up snobs that don’t care about their daughter. Finally, my favorite, Blair’s grandma that always seems to save the day.
The setting is during Christmas time. They are in New York visiting their parents. Chase and Blair go from Blair’s parent’s house to the mayor’s mansion then to grandma’s. After that they went to Chase’s mom’s to finish out the holiday. Then they went back to Montana their home.
A theme for this book could be how rich parents raise children versus normal parents. Blair was raised by a nanny and her parents didn't help at all unless they were getting something out of it. Chase wasn't really raised by parents. His dad died at a young age and his mother lived in New York, so his aunt and uncle took on that role. He actually had to work on the ranch. I found a perfect quote for this, “The hard work we hated as kids made us who we are today.” Chase was raised with morals by people that loved him. Both had to grow up fast but Blair was at it alone.
I honestly would recommend this book. All three of the “Chasing McCree” books are great stories wrote about an awesome relationship that was never meant to be. If you haven't read the other two books I highly encourage you to do so. The first two books are background for this one so if you haven't read those I would recommend them first.
No me canso de leer de estos personajes! Amo a Chase y Briar demasiado! Quiero a mi vaquero!!
A novella about Chase and his girlfriend Briar. Chase inherited a ranch in Montana after his father died in a helicopter crash. Briar is from Florida and loves Montana and snow. Some books I may need to look for with the series.
This short story provides another fun chance to spend time with Chase and Briar for those who have read Chasing McCree and enjoyed it. I grew quite fond of these highly sympathetic young lovers, and I'm one of the happy fans who snapped up this story. It takes place in Florida, where Briar and Chase have gone to spend Christmas with her family. The story events occur before the epilogue in Chasing McCree and subsequent to the events in The McCree's Star Spangled 4th.
Briar falls into the creek and has to be taken to the hunting cabin to warm up. Briar and Chase goes to the airport to go back to Florida to visit her parents. Briar's parents go to a Christmas party were Chase leaves to go see the horses and while he is gone Briar is insulted by her old group of friends. Briar's grandpa is feeling unwell and Briar's dad tells her that her grandpa is going to die in about 6 months. Chase gives Briar a Christmas present that makes her even love him even more.
I loved the book and seeing Chase and Briar's first Christmas together. Her parents saddened me but it was expected. I would love her next cowboy book to involve Dustin or Tuck with Lexi or Kaitlin but that is just me because I want more of Chase and Briar's story even if I have to get it through another story line.
For those who really enjoyed the Chasing McCree book, this will help you cling to the characters a bit longer before you need to move on. For those who just thought it was okay, this probably won't improve your opinion. It read like an excerpt from another book with a whole lot of filler. Though, honestly, you'll never know how you'll feel until you read it for yourself.
Another wonderful little story. I loved seeing their relationship a little further into the future. They're probably my favourite couple to read about. This story was great but again short, I want a full book. This is definitely better than nothing and I thoroughly enjoyed it so I can't complain too much.
I am in love with this. I have always loved wolves, and this just made them even better! but omg I love Chase and Briar! and Lexi, I wanna see if she gets Dustin! but, I guess this is the last book. wah.
I do love these characters and hope that more instalments will come. This was like a quick fix (a nice warm cuppa on a winters day) - just makes you feel good for the experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A McCree Christmas is a cozy, festive follow-up novella that captures the warmth and tension of blending two very different worlds during the holidays. With Chase out of his comfort zone in the Florida high society scene, and Briar navigating family dynamics, this story adds a perfect seasonal touch to their romance with humor and heart. A delightful companion to Chasing McCree that fans of the series will enjoy.
