1.5 This chick is so annoying

She keeps saying how she's a virgin but after the first 5 minutes of talking to her "dream guy," she agrees to sleep with him and go to his house. She keeps saying that OMG, I'm a virgin, don't judge, I'm a good girl blah blah blah then she jumps on the guy in 2 seconds. She explains in detail what she wants from him and is upset when he takes it a bit slower ('cause, well, she's a freakin' virgin!). She is so damn horny, like a hormonal teenage boy seeing a naked chick for the first time. How am I suppose to believe she's a virgin when she acts like this?!

Don't get me wrong, I don't care if the MC is a virgin or the biggest slut ever, as long as her personality matches.

She has multiple personalities, one minute she loves the guy then says how he's an ass. She loves that he's a bad boy but hates him for it. She doesn't want a romantic guy but says the guy's an ass when he's not romantic enough.
Make up your mind, woman!

And, even more, she's supposed to be a freakin' teacher but she's an IDIOT!
He's not too far behind either...

The plot is bad too, it's way too much, from the meeting with the bad guys to the whole setting. There's no clear beginning, the writing is chaotic and everything is just over the top. I haven't finished it, maybe it all has some deeper meaning (probably not).

I gave the .5 stars because, well... I don't really know. I've read worse, I guess.

Ok this is truthfully a first for me.

This is the first time in all of my reading experience that I simply could NOT finish the book. I started to get frustrated at the 15% mark and then I barely managed to get past the 40% mark...I just couldn't take it anymore.

I mean, FOR THE LOVE OF JEBUS! the writing was just comical...and not in a funny haha way, but in a seriously WTF way.

My thoughts while reading it? ummmmm

The writing didn't flow. It was choppy. The conversations between the characters was just ridiculous at times. Ella, for being a 22 year old, came off like a 16 yr old most times. I just couldn't take it. The conversations sounded like a teenager wrote them:
We are so not going to happen
You are so dead
OMG

One reviewer called this a watered down version of a KA novel...and I couldn't agree more with that.

I read the blurb for the book and it sounded so promising, but unfortunately it just didn't deliver for me.

To be fair, I'll refrain from rating this book since I didn't finish it. I see some enjoyed this book, and I wish I could be one of those, but this just wasn't for me. Maybe it was due to personal preference...whatever. When I can't find one good thing to say about a book, I guess the fair thing to do is to let other readers judge it for themselves. Maybe some readers would enjoy it, but I just wasn't one of them

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Totally serious ... this was just terrible. Both Hope and I agree, this was just BAD [not good bad, bad bad!].

How bad? I've had my Kindle for a year and have about 500 books purchased. This was the first book [only so far] I've returned for a refund. SERIOUS bad shite!

Have I told you how awful this was? Hmm... Are you listening?

A bit torn about this book. It was alright or okay but not to the extent of some other MC/Biker books I have read. The heroine was too hot-n-cold for me to really enjoy her as a character but I love the moment she kicks that woman's you-know-what. Girl power! And thats about it. The hero was reminiscent of Kristen Ashley's heroes but very tame by comparison. I've been too spoiled by Kristen Ashley and Madeline Sheehan to bask in this book, however it is not terrible by any means it's just not that good either. You could live without reading it.

I tried, I really did. Twice even. I just couldn't do it. The storyline reminded me of a show from the Discovery Channel (The Devil's Ride) and a very poorly executed copy of a Kristen Ashley Alpha-Male.

I know, I know, there are a lot of you that really liked this. Thank goodness we all get to have our own opinions. This book may do it for you but, it didn't even come remotely close for me.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion

Ella has just graduated from college and is off to Del Mar to start her first teaching job, when she goes out for drinks with a co-worker and sees Ryder. She has been lusting after Ryder since she embarrassed herself in front of him and his MC club last summer. Ryder has been thinking about Ella since their run in as well and when she walks into his bar he knows he has to have her. Ella is fighting off unwanted advances from a co-worker and trying to deal with Ryder and what it means to be the old lady to the President of an MC club. Ryder has to figure out what is more important to him, his club, which is his family or having a life with Ella. I really liked this book, the heroine Ella is a bit annoying, and I wanted her to be stronger than she was, but she was cute and extremely funny at times. Ryder is a bad ass biker man; he cares for Ella and fights to keep her in his life. They are both trying to figure out how to make a real relationship work, figure out who is stalking Ella, navigate the world of a motorcycle club and trying to keep jealousy from ripping them apart. This book was a big surprise for me, when I read that it was created by three friends because of a joke, my first thought was this is either go to be cringe worthy bad or really freakn good. It was really freakn good; you can't tell that the book was written by three different people because everything fits together so well. The storyline is interesting and the characters are so funny, Payton, Ella’s best friend, had me cracking up from the second she arrived in Del Mar until she left. Jack, oh the hunky biker Jack, he is what your mom warned you about when she told you to stay away from bad boys. There was an epilogue, I won't say much about it because I don't want to spoil things for readers, but I have to applaud the authors, cliffhangers are the bane of my existence and this epilogue almost made me cry simply because I wasn't left with any questions about Ella and Ryder. I really liked this book and I can't wait to see what other adventures theses three ladies can come up with.

This review contains a bit of cussing, snark and possible spoilers.

Per the author’s profile...

“As the result of a joke between three friends by the names of Jillian Moores, Maegan Rowe and Tanya Baikie, the book Wilde Ride was born.”

The H's name... Ryder Wilde.  *snort*  Seriously?  Am I on candid camera?  Are these 3 ladies just goofin' to see how much $$ they can make off us Gullible Romance Addicts with a Biker Fetish?

And so for the first 25-50% of the book, watching the overwrought chaos and insta-love unfold... I kept thinking... is this... tongue in cheek? Parody ala 50 Shades? Is this the “joke” they refer to on their profile?

But then I said “screw it” and decided to just roll with it.

Let’s start off by saying that the authors paid a lot of tribute to KA regarding Alpha Male speak, steamroll Alphahole behavior and sex scenes.  A LOT of tribute.  Like fan-fiction level tribute.

The Outlaw M.C. portion of the story was well... weak. If your H is gonna be in an Outlaw Biker Gang he needs to be IN an Outlaw Biker Gang. Outlaw bikers aren’t driven by their moral compass by definition. Yes, it’s a romance but if you can’t take the fuckhot antihero heat stay out of the fuckhot antihero kitchen.  And yes... I know there were baddies working in the background but they were sketched so vaguely their impact was minimal to the overall read.

”He had a reaper in profile holding a scythe that pretty well covers his entire back. The word MAYHEM is inked in bold black letters up above the reaper, spanning his shoulder blades.”

This was one of my favorite shiver inducing scenes from SoA, too! Yeah, that first glimpse of Jax’s full back piece in the shower... Panty melting.

The h... Ella Scott. Lordy that girl.  She was just "I'm soooo WACKY!"   A complete caricature. Props for mostly avoiding a side dish of TSTL with a character so immature and lacking in common sense. But that didn't stop all the boys from wanting to get on her even though she didn't think she was "all that pretty". AND she was a virgin.  Yup.  A never even went downtown on her boyfriend of 3 years during college Virgin. A never-even-had-an-orgasm virgin.

But guess what? No really.. GUESS!

Her first trip downtown with Ryder... she swallowed.

“Baby, you gotta stop or I’m gonna come in your mouth,” he moans, and I can feel him arching his back again.

I mumble a “Yes” around his shaft and grip his thighs, pulling him towards me.

With my signs of approval he shouts out, “Shit! The vibrations from your throat feel un-fuckin-believable!” A few seconds later, I feel his salty release hit the back of my throat and I instinctively swallow.

Sitting up shortly after, I have a huge grin on my face. I just gave my first blow job. I feel like doing a little dance. God, I’m so corny.”

Cue bruising eye roll.

Her OTT slapstick behavior made me want to grab Ryder by the back of the hair and ask him "THAT is your forever girl?  Really?!"

Cause ladies I ain't gonna lie... Ryder was just as cliche as Ella but the authors studied their Alpha Fuckhot Male Manuals and they all got B+'s on the test. The contrived plot turned his Alphafuckhotness into total cheese more than a few times but for the most part they pulled it off.   The attempt to make him a badass though... meh.

So Ryder doesn’t quite make my book boyfriend list but in another life (story) he might have... he brought some of the fundamentals.  And it didn’t hurt that they wrote Ryder in the vision that is Tim Riggins aka Taylor Kitsch. FNL!

Did I say the plot was contrived?  Yup. I won’t bother detailing it out but toss in the kitchen sink and you’ve got it covered.

The ending. Seriously? I mean.. seriously?

So I bet it seems like I hated this book, huh?

But I so didn't!

Yeah... it is a TOTAL KA rip-off.

And yeah... the word “babe” was used 974,630,378,747 times.

But... there were moments that made me laugh.

"I bet he even has that deep V highlighting his masculine selling point."   heh heh Masculine selling point...!

"He is the David Copperfield of oral sex.  I hope he doesn't make anything disappear.  That would be a crying shame."

And moments I went "Awwwwwww".

“Babe, after the way you looked at me today thinkin’ those flowers were from me, I would do anything, and I mean anything to see that again. So here’s my turn to be the person to put that look on your face. I never thought I was a flower kind a guy, but I want to put that look on the face of the woman I love.”

And one really hot moment-on-a-bike-in-the-garage....

“Lie back against the gas tank,” he growls, pushing me down with one hand.

“This is where it’s gonna get really wild, babe,” he adds.”
..........................

“The feeling of the cool metal of the gas tank against my skin makes goose bumps rise and my nipples pucker. His naked body hovers over mine as he reaches for the handgrips. His feet anchor on the foot pegs as my legs wrap around his waist, locking my feet together behind his back. Using both the handgrips and foot pegs for leverage, Ryder then loses control and pounds himself into my body in an unmerciful tempo.”

Daaaaaaayymn.  Ride her Wild, Ryder!!!"  ( I couldn’t help myself. )

I read it start to finish. The quality of the writing varied wildly throughout the book but I have a high tolerance so it didn't throw me out of the story.  No cliffhanger... it had a beginning, middle and an end unlike the authors out there committing robbery with their cliffhanger endings.  No cheating. Never got bored even if my eyes did do a lot of rollin'.

Overall, I thought Wilde Ride was kinda quirky and fun albeit totally unoriginal.  So unoriginal that I'm a little ashamed I had as much fun reading it as I did.

Which brings me back to the beginning. Is tongue firmly in cheek?

I mean... I admit it. I’m a Gullible Romance Addict with a Biker Fetish. You want to sell me a taste of hot biker lovin’? I guess I'm your Sucker cause I totally bought it.

With the option to review, of course.

Edited for typos

Okay where to begin.. This book was awesome.. I loved Ryder & Ella was funny as shit but sometimes a bit too quick to jump to conclusions but really who isnt sometimes when you find yourself in a situation where you can be hurt.. With that being said she was a better female character than some of the ones ive read. there's worse ones out there.. This book was basically a wanna be Kristen Ashley book. Now of course even IF the author didn't mention Kristen Ashley in her book you would KNOW anyways if your really a KA fan.

This book was still awesome it was like a baby version of The Dream Man Series, so basically it filled the void until other KA books come out.. Now not comparing it to KA books like i said it was aweosme you have a bad ass biker with a soft side and a female character that had a couple issues but nothing too crazy like some female characters where you just want to say STFU already lol.

I applaid Ms. Moorers for an excellent job well done and I hope i dont offend her if she ever reads this book by saying it's a baby version any KA book ever made because in my opinion it's the truth but it's not like she tried and failed cuz she totally rocked it. And KA is definitely an inspiration when Im in a writing mood and she inspires some of my writing moments as well :)

AWESOME books thats fast paced and I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL PAYTON & JACKS STORY!!! OMFG it better be HAWT, HOTT AND HOT all wrapped in one!!

If you’ve read any of my previous reviews, you know that I’m pretty forgiving when it comes to indie authors, especially when it comes to their first published book. I can put up with a lot, as in run on sentences, grammatical errors, lack of scene dividers, rough transitions, etc. The reason being is that the author can always have it (re)edited and release an updated copy to do away with any errors that happen to be distracting.

With that being said, let’s get to this debut book from a new indie author. I love stories about motorcycle guys and their ladies; it’s a new thing for me. So when this book came up I got a copy hoping for the best after reading the teaser available on Amazon. While reading this book, I posted this on Facebook – “That moment you realize you’re reading a book in hopes that it will get better. You know that it won’t but are too stubborn to admit it, so read all the way to the end and then get mad at yourself for wasting your own time when you knew better.” While it wasn’t that extreme I would have to say that there was some major disappointment.

I will try to use as little spoilers as possible and they will be vague, but it will be somewhat necessary as I point out my issues with the story. From the beginning, the writing seemed promising. A young woman, named Ella, who has graduated college and wants to strike out on her own in a different town on a different coast seemed like a good lead in. She has a flash back to her last visit and we meet Ryder. That’s right the main man in the book’s name is Ryder Wilde, I personally hated this because it ranked on the cheesy scale of bad names for a biker. Honestly from mid-chapter 2 the book written wise goes downhill and can’t seem to pick itself back up.

First there seems to be no reason to why these two are attracted to each other. They literally meet once for five minutes, then again one year later. After her first day on her own and saying how much she likes her apartment, she spends the night with him only to basically moved in with him on the second day. Ella never spends one night in her apartment. There is no reason for them to be together other than sexual attraction, literally. Only in one part of the book do they find they share a similar tragedy in their life, but basically it was two paragraphs long and then done. There is no building on the character of the characters only how weak and unable to take care of herself Ella is and how much Ryder seems to be able to drop anything and everything to constantly baby her. How she was going to try and survive on her own is beyond this reader. Although the author tried a couple of times to redeem her and show her “tough” side, it came off as a desperate attempt to try to negate the crybaby that Ella was. Even though it was told in her perspective, she came off as weak, with really no redeeming qualities. Again her character was completely underdeveloped.

On to Ryder. Badass leader of West Coast Biker Club? Ummmm I’m thinking NO. Besides the author’s attempt to make him sound like a tough, alpha, macho badass, he mostly came off as a whipped man who had anger control issues. There were times when I would read a line that he said and go “uh no”. An example “ ….As sexy as they look on you, they block my access. They are the enemy, and the enemy must be destroyed.” Besides having that small conversation ripped from the pages of “The Mighty Storm” does the end of the sentence sound anything like a badass biker would say? This isn’t the only instance where the book takes from other books in a subtle way, but I didn’t note them specifically, more that I noticed and shook my head. (Take note of where Ryder lives. Sounds a bit like Kristen Ashley’s Tack’s house.) Ryder seems to be to drop everything in the blink of an eye just to rescue, comfort or be with Ella in general. He goes from trying to be super, dirty talking sexy, to bad ass biker to sweet, but unfortunately falls short. (Again she refers to him in all these different personas which is a part of another Ashley book.) He comes off as sporadic and all over the place, especially in the last portion of the book. This would probably have to do with his underdevelopment, as well as the lack of any insight to his behavior. Surprisingly though the epilogue in the end written from his point of view was probably one of the better written chapters of the book.

The book jumped all over the place, there was no consistent flow or reason for the story really (unless you can count all the ways that Ryder and Ella have sex.) There are too many pop culture references and things that don’t fit or add up at all in the “small town” this takes place in. It seemed as if Ms. Moore was trying to throw in every scenario or fantasy that every woman on the Earth may have, from wall sex to showing up in nothing but a trench coat. The fight scene between an antagonist and the heroine was so outlandishly out of character and improbable it was almost too much. I can’t say more without a spoiler. Ella and Ryder fight and within four paragraphs all misunderstandings are laid out and resolved so easily you almost wondered why they bothered in the first place. Not that I’m a fan of strife, but simply saying x, y, and z doesn’t just make the feelings about the situation go away in my opinion. The main points in the stories, where one is actually well done and had potential even though I figured out who the stalker was, could possibly throw readers in a good way. On the other had the “problems” with the club could have been brought more in to the light in perhaps book 2 where one of the main characters from this book will be the lead in the next. It was a good storyline that was completely underdeveloped and could have been so much more.

I wish I could say that I liked this book more. The only saving grace it seemed to have been the two side characters of Payton and Diesel (which are the leads in the next book). Payton made crack up more than once. I’ve NEVER, EVER have given out one star, but this time I think I’m going to have to. I’ll add a half on for potential based on the side characters. But I wouldn’t read this book again, and more than likely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. My advice to the author is to take away the $2.99 price tag on Amazon and lower it to $0.00 for a while to build up some fans and possibly take criticisms to correct her errors with the story or have a very good editor help her out with the grammar, flow and voice of the story. Also to be careful as this story reads more of a fan-fiction than an actual book. The author has potential, but needs to find her own voice and not one of Kristen Ashley (who she mentions in the book) or any other popular book at this time.

WARNING: If you liked this book, please proceed with caution as I am not going to be nice.

1.5 stars is as high as I can go on this.

Ugh, okay, first off, isn't Ella supposed to be an English teacher? What English teacher...no, what human being uses the phrases "OMG" and "WTF" in their inner monologue? Are you honestly that lazy you can't even think in full sentences? And as an English teacher shouldn't she have read Romeo and Juliet? I have a very hard time believing she has seeing as she thinks that it's a romantic story. I'm sorry, but did you even read the crap you're teaching your students? There is nothing romantic about that story. Nothing. And to be honest, who wouldn't be scared if someone told them they would rather die then live without them? Personally, I do not find that romantic. But that's just me I suppose.

Wilde Ride is a story about a boy and a girl falling in love and the whole bunch of shit that ensues within their lives. That's basically all it's about. Now, seeing as how generic the plot is you would think that I just spent the last 200 pages on a roller coaster of drama and action, well you would be sadly mistaken.

Right in the beginning of this book I just knew it wasn't going to do it for me. It was just so boring. But I wanted to give it a chance. Hell, I had went out of my way to get it, I was damn sure going to read it.

Why, oh why do I continue to put myself through this?

Every page was a nightmare. I was so bored I wasn't even paying attention to the story at one point. Instead I was fixing the sentences within my head, mentally deleting the massive amount of "and's" she decided to write into this book.

By the half way mark I was really confused, I mean where the hell was the drama I was promised? All I got was half assed attempts every forty pages like the author suddenly remember there was supposed to be more to this story then them fucking each other. Sadly, I did not get what I had hoped for.

The romance, if you could call it that was not believable at all. It happened way to fast, and all of a sudden after knowing each other for two weeks they are madly in love with each other. Uh, nope, sorry I believe you are madly in lust with each other. I mean, seriously, do you even know his favourite colour?

The only reason I am giving this story a 1.5 instead of just 1 is because while the story sucked, I didn't mind the ending. Finally, I got what I had hoped for throughout the whole entire book, to bad it was only for the last 30 pages. In the end, I was actually pretty satisfied with the way she managed to wrap up their story, but I was definitely not left wanting more. It's more then safe to say I won't be reading the next one in this series.

I really hate writing reviews when I can’t do anything but rave about the story :( I tried my hardest to love this story because I normally can’t resist a story with bad ass bikers in it but the female character, Ella, in this story drove me crazy!!

Ella is graduating from college at the top of her class and moving out to California to teach high school like she always wanted to do and hopefully run into the SEXY biker that helped her out last summer when she ran into a light pole while there. So, she graduates, breaks up with her boyfriend and off she goes to Cali to live.

She had no idea she would end up in the bar that is owned by Ryder Wilde(AKA sexy biker..hehe) but it happens not long after she moves into town. Unfortunately, she is out for drinks with a guy when this happens. Ryder and Ella immediately recognize one another and things heat up quickly and Ryder is not concerned by the date Ella is on!!

Ryder always gets what he wants and Ella is what he wants. He immediately takes her under his wing and doesn’t let her go. I found it a little disturbing how quickly she goes home with him without knowing anything about him other than he heads a biker gang and owns a bar….WTF, woman!!! And did I mention she is a virgin!! What is she thinking and what does she think he wants from her!! Lucky for her, Ryder ends up being a really nice guy :)

There are a few twists and turns to this relationship. Ella has a stalker and Ryder needs to get some new friends but these two work really hard at making things work.

So now to talk about what irritated me about Ella. Supposedly she is a smart woman but the girl talks like a 15 year old…UGH!!! The dialogue for her really bothered me. If you are old enough to graduate college and teach high school, then you need to at least be a little mature. I must admit she did get better towards the end and I really loved the way it ended.

All in all I liked the plot of this story and I think I really would have liked the story a lot more if Ella had been portrayed as a little bit more mature. This could definitely be only my personal preference so I would not let my opinion deter anyone.

DNF- Honestly, I don't like leaving negative reviews. I respect how much work must go into writing a book and try to tread carefully. With that being said, I'm glad I didn't actually buy this book or it would become the second book EVER that I would have to ask for a refund on. First you should know, I absolutely love Kristen Ashely, I love MC biker books, and I love alpha males. It's really obvious that the author is a Kristen Ashley fan (she even mentions her in the book). I have nothing against reading books that have been inspired by KA's style of writing or story telling. In fact, I'd love to read a whole stack full. Unfortunately, this book seemed like nothing but a poorly executed rip-off of a KA book. The writing is awful. I started it, put it down. Picked it back up, put it back down. This books been hanging out on my kindle for a few days. I normally just soldier through because I really don't like not finishing a book after starting. I even tried to skim. I just couldn't do it. Definitely a DNF for me at about 35%. I sincerely can't recommend this book to anyone.

I was really excited about this book. I couldn't wait to buy it from Amazon once I heard about it.

Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't a great 5 star read for me either.

I don't know if I had high expectations or if I was comparing it to Mystery Man and Undeniable but it didn't measure up for me.

However, I did enjoy buddy reading this with Laci and JoJo.

I will admit, I'm curious about the second book and what happens to the characters, so I'll probably read it...eventually.

ok ok! I hate to be so hard on this book but i just can't seem to like the heroine for very long periods of time. I mean for gods sake one minute she was fighting and the next she was seriously freaking out. I did like ryder would have liked to hear more about his club but ehh he was pretty hot so i can overlook it! It was a great book but for the story to have been what it was you didn't hear any background on others in the book! I ready did enjoy this book but its the small things that make it 3 stars in my opinion!

I want to thank Lesley at My Keeper Shelf for introducing me to this book in her list of Favorite Bad Ass Biker Books: http://mykeepershelf.blogspot.co.uk/2...

I am always on the look out for more sexy badass biker books and I definitely enjoyed Wilde Ride ~ especially the epilogue that was told from Ryder's point of view!! So good!!! I have to say that while I LOVED Ryder, Ella did get on my nerves a bit but overall an entertaining read and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series about Payton and Jack.

4 out of 5 rating.

Wilde Ride was a pleasant surprise. This story had many different layers to it, The was the two main character's romance, and way too many bad guys. Some where obvious and one really took me by surprise. the Epilogue was a great touch to end this story.

Ella Scott our 22 year old virgin has just graduated from college, dumped her boyfriend of two years (that she did not sleep with) and moved to California because she enjoyed the weather there once. Like what the fukk?
So, what is wrong with the sentence above?
1. No guy in college will date a girl for two years without having sex. Common sense.
2. She dumps her boy next door good looking boyfriend because she has been feeling sisterly towards him.

Ella was in a car accident a few years back that has caused her to lose her mom, dad and brother and she was left with scars that she is very self conscious of.

While on vacation in California (Del Mar) she ran into a pole, SERIOUSLY while jogging because she was staring at some bikers. She falls, Ryder Wilde rescues her..gives her a pick up line..and she is head over heals, so head over heals that she moves to the same city, visits his bar with a date, ditches her date because Ryder told her so, and then asks him if his pick up line work?

This is how that went:

“I hear a whispered, “Ditch the fuckwad and meet me back here when I get off at eight.”
I didn’t even think about it, I just nod and respond with a breathy “Okay.” He smiles, turns and walks away from me.”

“Yes, Ryder Wilde and I do own this place,” he replies. “Wanna beer, beautiful?”
“Does that line work on all the girls?” I ask.
Really, this guy is a piece. Piece of what, I’m not entirely sure yet. Yes, he screams strong male ego, but could he pull off a conversation by saying more than five words at a time and not grunting?”

Really bitch? You want to be judgemental..you're a 22 year old virgin so STFU.

Is this bitch serious?

“Oh my God, what is this guy going to do to me?”
“Help! Somebody help me!”
“It’s okay. I’m not gonna hurt you. Ryder will be here in a minute,” the man says.
“Um…Ok.”

She is being yanked away by a stranger and she says Um..Ok?

She wants to go home to her own apartment borrowing his bat even though she knows Ryder's rival mc club is after her?

2 hours after they met:

“Why don’t we finish what we started? That was amazing,” I purr, still coming down from my climax.
“Sorry babe, but I can’t do that. Not like this. You deserve more. You deserve flower petals, hotel room, you know, all that shit, and I can’t do that shit. That’s not me.”

SERIOUSLY? WHAT THE HELL AM I PUTTING MYSELF THROUGH. THIS BOOK IS SO ALL OVER THE PLACE, I'M GETTING A HEADACE!

She wanted him to take her virginity literally two hours after they met (he didn't) but the next night she doesn't want him sharing his bed with her, because sleeping next to him makes her uncomfortable.
Then she peaks under the covers when he is asleep and notices him being "huge" a Virgin wouldn't really know what huge was since she had nothing to compare it to!

She gets pregnant, and he tells her he loves her and the baby more than anything but she needs to move out and find herself a decent man to raise THEIR baby?

I'm disappointed in this book, it had so much more potential and it didn't live up to it.
The book was unrealistic, the time table was all over the place and nothing made sense.

*** FIRST I NEED TO SAY THAT THIS REVIEW IS FOR 18+ DUE TO CONTENT AND LANGUAGE AND SEXUAL SCENES ***

With that being said I have to say I love me some bad ass biker men! Lord I have gone to a few biker bars and lord have mercy you just have no idea what goes on in there. Plus the hot ass biker men you see in there makes you need a cold bucket of ice water to cool the hormones!

I have to say that these girls first book that was supposed to be a joke turned out to be a hot seller. They have it down and the story line flowed smoothly and the mystery of who the stalker is was so surprising because I really thought it was someone else while it was the other person all along and I never saw it coming. I laughed and I cried and I so wanted to throw my new Kindle HD when I was reading the end of the story when I thought something happened.

Ella Scott has no family left. She is the sole survivor of a very bad car accident that killed her brother and her parents and left her scared for life. She ends up living with her best friend and family and she is grateful. She goes to college and decides she will move back to the one place that holds good memories of her family and that is Del Mar CA. She gets a teaching job there and she is excited to be starting her life over again. Creating new memories for herself. When she goes down to visit and get her apartment in order she decides she needs a run to clear her mind and enjoy the fresh year. While running she hears and feels this rumble and when she turns around to see what it is she sees a series of motorcycles coming towards her and when she turns around she runs right into a pole and gets knocked out. When she comes to she is in the arms of the most gorgeous man she has ever seen.

They talk and she goes back to Boston to get her stuff and move back to Del Mar. But while she is getting her things in order and readying herself for a whole year all she can think about is that gorgeous biker and what she would like to do to him. Lord she have never felt like that but she is lust and she wants him bad. When she moves back and has her first at school she is asked out by the gym teacher and they go around the corner to the local bar and at first she has no idea what to make of it but as she enters the bar she comes face to face with Mr Motorcycle! Hot dam she can't stop thinking about him and he remembers her because as the gym teacher goes to the bathroom he comes over to her and tells her to come back to bar at eight when he gets off. She does and what happens from there is not a pretty story but it is theirs and what a story it is.

Ryder and Ella will have to fight very hard and it seems like everyone to stay together. The club has it's obligations and needs that Ryder has to take care of because he is the MC of Mayhem and Ella has her job as a teacher. With someone stalking her and the club issues it seems like no matter what they try someone is always there trying to separate them. They will have to fight to the end in order to keep what they want the most. Come along for the greatest hottest story about a biker who falls in love hard but fights for his babe harder~

~Team Ryder Wilde all the way baby!

This was a good book, I like Ryder and Ella they where great together but there relationship went really fast it was like they said I love you in a week that was great for me because I'm a sucker for a love at first sight romance. Ella was a little needy very rash with her decisions she never thought before she did something she just went with it. Ryder was a Alpha male with a heart he new what he wanted and went for it and he wanted Ella. This was the first book I read when the heroin gets stocked by more than one person that was scary. Also I was shocked about what Ryder's members of Mayhem did but I new that his friend Axel was very shady.

Gosh, haven't been this disappointed about a book in a while. Caution: brutally honest review.

Imagine a very very poor imitation of Kristen Ashley. In fact that author was even mentioned in this book to suggest she was trying to channel her in her writing, but fell very far short from replicating her talent. This is far from being a Chaos novel although storyline seeks to portray that.

Hate being harsh here, but this book was so badly written. Grammatically it was mostly fine, but story development and dialog wise it was really poor and just so unnatural. There were several times where I just started to bookmark passages that just never would have been verbalized that way:

Ex. Ella out on a first date with another man:
"Is he the bartender from last night?"
"Yeah, it is, but he's also the owner and happens to have a very hot body." Who would say that to another man?!

Ex. "'Ryder, what're you going to do? You're not going to kill him are you?' I say, sounding worried. I really don't want to have to visit him in jail. We'll definitely never have sex if that happens." That's the thing that is most top of mind, or would be someone's inner dialog, really?

And story starts out with Ella running into a pole, meeting Ryder, seeing him one year later and moving in with in 24 hours. It just is not imaginable to have happened given the way the circumstances played out.

Very close to have DNFed this book but kept reading just to illustrate pages where writing was the worst.

I'm torn. I don't really know what to say about this book. It had a few redeeming qualities, but for the most part, it just fell short. I think the premise was an awesome idea but it just didn't work out in the end. Ella was just.... I didn't like her. Ryder was ok but not the type of biker I expected. There were quite a few things that annoyed me, but not enough to dnf. My biggest issue is the dialogue. One minute Ryder talks like a human, but then Ella is talking like a robot, and I just got annoyed with the lack of contractions. It just sounded stilted in my head for some reason. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn't work for me. :( Some of the supporting characters were fun to read and I will probably give the next book a try at some point.

My book buddy and I picked this book because it had a few of our favorite things, tattooed, motorcycle riding alpha-male. While I ended up liking the story of Ella and Ryder, it too a bit too long to really get moving. The first half of the book made me ask my book buddy if I should stick with it, to which she said yes. The beginning of Ella and Ryder's relationship was cheesy and move way too fast. I realize we have books where they are in love after a week or even a few days, but the surrounding story needs to carry that premise. Like I said, the story picked up after the middle and finished strong, so stick with it.

Honestly, I'd have DNFed this sucker about 10% in if I hadn't been reading it for a challenge.

I don't find grown women who have the intelligence and maturity of a thirteen year-old entertaining--at all. Ella was hit with the stupid stick so hard I think it caused permanent brain damage. Ugh! I swear, her actions and thoughts remind me of an addled preadolescent.--at least they have an excuse.

I don't know how many eye rolls, shaking head, ugh's and oh that's just bad I said or did while reading this story. I see the potential but it fell waaaaaay flat.

To each his own. Maybe some will like it better than me but I've got nothing else to say. *shrugs shoulders*

I give it 3.5 stars

It was an easy read. Ella was a bit quirky. Ryder needed a smidge more alpha. Smut was good. Overall, it was okay. Looking forward to Payton and Jack's story. They were pretty hot in this one. I can only imagine how they will be in their own book.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Oh my gosh! So much heat and so damn funny!! This frickin book was right up my alley! That's not to say I didn't have a couple of issues with it - you know me, I'm nothing if not a whiney bitch - but overall, this was a keeper!

Let's stat off with my favorite part of this book - the heroine!! I thought she was so funny! There's this one scene where she's hiding out in a back room during a bar fight. She hears the sounds coming closer so she looks around to get some kind of weapon to defend herself and finds a bat. While she's looking around, she's thinking to herself that she's some kind of GI Jane and she's just trying to psych herself up. It was frickin hilarious! There are times that she doesn't seem all that tough but really, she IS. First of all, she delivers a smack down more than once during the book and each time was surprising since its coming from this sweet little school teacher. But more than that, she saves herself more than once, which is kind of awesome. She doesn't know any "moves"; she's just a survivor and she does NOT give up. On the other side, she's not all tough and ballsy. She actually kind of falls apart and needs her man after she's attacked. I surprised myself because I didn't begrudge her that at all. I mean, she held her own and made it through so she can go ahead and let go and need some comforting. Something I did NOT care for about Ella is her immaturity. Ok, so she's a virgin, that's fine. But the way she reacts when she and her man have a fight was just way off base. They argue and when she wakes up and he's gone (he's at work), she packs her shit and takes off for a day or so. Her phone was off and no one knew where she was! Umm, hello?? It was a little argument and she's all 'Oh I knew he didn't really like me.' Ugh. She's SO quick to assume things (usually bad things) about this man that she doesn't know very well. Why wouldn't you just slow down and give him a chance to talk?? Was she super sheltered? Does she know NOTHING about relationships? Does being a virgin make you stupid?? I didn't think so but now I'm not so sure!

Then there's her man, Ryder. First, his name is Ryder Wilde. Ugh. But damn, he sounds really hot! He's the leader of a biker gang, which normally doesn't do much for me since I'm not into bikers but whoa. So he's a major badass, of course, and he's for SURE an alpha male. Like big time. I was super worried that I would be turned off by him because seriously alpha males piss me off (have you read Rebecca Zanetti's Fated? Double ugh.). But I quickly saw that his alpha male-osity presented itself mostly in the form of protectiveness. He was really protective of Ella, right from the start, and who wouldn't like that?? It was HOT! But even if you aren't into that (are you CRAZY?!), all of that over-reaction is tempered by his incredible sweetness. I mean, yes, he's a big bad biker guy but when he's around Ella, he just kind of melts into this ooey gooey kissable dreamboat! LOL! I don't know how the author does it but its cute and hot and somehow still totally manly!

Together, Ella and Ryder are combustible! So frickin' hot! But so much happens in this book that I cannot believe that its only around 200 pages! Ella has a kind of stalker but the author keeps you guessing if she really DOES have one. Ella isn't sure if she's imagining things or what. I mean, I can totally understand that in this case. What can you do about a funny feeling? Or explain why the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end? How do you file a report saying that your "spidey sense" is tingling?! But even after the stalker issue is resolved and you think that its time for the happy ending, the author has more surprises in store for you! Oh no, you won't be getting off that easily! She's stringing you along until the very end! And I kinda liked it... ;)

This book was great! But wait, before I forget! The epilogue is pretty cool. It's told from Ryder's point of view and he basically gives a quick recap of the events in the book but from his side of it. Its not a huge long thing but it was fun to see things from his eyes. Anyways, I would highly recommend this book to anyone! The secondary characters were great and Ella's best friend, Payton, gets her own book! There are tons and tons of laughs, which as you know, is one of my favorite things. But in addition to that, there's plenty of super hot Sexy Time and even several mysteries that need to be solved. Plus, several people are not who they seem to be... I can't wait for you to read this book! I know you'll love it and after you read it, I want you to come back here and tell me what you thought of the end!!!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Well after reading lots of mixed reviews i didn't know what i would find with this book, and i might be on my own with this but I FREAKING LOVED IT.

Ryder might not have been the most Alpha of characters that i've read about but he was certainly bad ass and very hot! That is fine with me.. i love an alpha as much as the next girl but sometimes they can drive me insane! (I still love them though!) this way it was a refreshing change to love them ALL the way through. He was cocky but sweet, passionate and VERY protective.

I. WANT. ONE.

Ella was brilliant she was so funny and i loved her alter ego - GI JANE! She is definitely one of my fave heroines. I enjoyed the whole book immensely and the end oh holy hell when a book can make feel like that it's getting 5 stars! I don't know what else to say apart from i just loved it!

Here are some of my favourite quotes from both Ryder and Ella.

"Whoa babe, you're really falling for me hard, aren't you?"

"Always gotta protect what's mine"

"Oh sweet jesus, David Copperfield!"

"The good news is your tank top survived. I'm sorry to have to tell you this but your underwear didn't make it"

"Christ babe i'd never leave you, your all i want for the rest of my life"

"You're the most beautiful woman on this earth, I love you, Ella. Forever."

OK mostly Ryder's quotes then.. ;)
