To know thyself is the greatest journey, and I’m the type of guy that climbs a volcano in the dark to watch the sunrise. I have traveled to more than 50 countries, taken millions of photos, and now combining my stories and images into a series of digital eBooks to inspire others to discover their inner wanderlust. I am currently loving life in beautiful Thailand, working as an English teacher and fulfilling my novelist dreams. I've been taking a bunch of jewelry classes and every teacher I've asked has warned me away from using paste solder and butane torches. I'm setting up my own home studio space and have gotten a propane/oxygen set-up with a torch. I read through the author's instructions for using the smaller torches and noted how different they were from what I learned. This was confusing to me but since I have no intention of using the small torches I just set that aside... I didn't care for most of the projects: the juxtaposition of ordered chain with organic peace sign or lacy pendant with parachute cord was peculiar. Page 51's description of the hand-forged clasp makes it sound like the author invented it! The four chain patterns that this book features are well explained and there are many useful charts.
