Hi, my name is Tania del Rio, author of the middle grade novel, WARREN THE 13TH AND THE ALL-SEEING EYE for Quirk Books. The sequel, WARREN THE 13TH AND THE WHISPERING WOODS comes out on March 21st, 2017! I’m also a professional comic book writer and artist with 10 years experience writing and illustrating for a young audience. My clients include Archie Comics, Dark Horse, and Marvel. AOL Comics Alliance described my work on SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH as “One of the best and most underrated all-ages comics of the last 10 years”! Most recently, I am the author of DIARY OF A GIRL NEXT DOOR: BETTY, an illustrated novel for Archie comics. I’ve also edited MANGAKA AMERICA (Collins Design), a gallery and tutorial book featuring some of the hottest emerging North American manga artists of the time, and am currently working on another tutorial book for Focal Press on character design. I reside with three dogs in Los Angeles, California, where I can be found writing under a palm tree, expressing my inner teenager.
At this point, I'm just reading it to find out what happens. It has deviated a bit too much from the plotlines I am familiar with and I'm not liking it very much.
So I do not want to spoil anything and all but the reason why I find book 2 superior to this one is the plot twist they have here, it’s been done before and I feel that (or until I read book 4) I know what will happen, but aside from that this is extremely fun and good and I hope to be able to get a copy of book 4 soon!
Once again cute and fun. The timeline was a little strange, at the start of the book it was Halloween and then we were on summer vacation and then it was Halloween again so… The boy drama!! Sabrina just can’t make up her mind, she’s so back and forth!! There was more stuff going on with Four Blades.
Harvey stopped being dumb in this volume. I guess it's Sabrina's turn now. For a large chunk of the book, she became very self absorbed and fickle. I still don't like the the reminders everywhere for any detail or event that happened so much as a chapter before whichever is being read.
This was a fun read. Though Sabrina’s back and forth between Harvey and Shinji is getting on my nerves plus I’m getting annoyed with Shinji too. Hopefully the last book Sabrina will finally make up her mind.
There's one more book in this series (that I have requested through our library system), and I can't wait for it to get here to see what's going to happen! The storyline here is very fun and interesting.
Harvey seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. Sabrina, not so much. For a large chunk of the book, she was very self absorbed and fickle. I don't like the reminders everywhere for any detail or event that happened. The asterisks and side notes were annoying and unnecessary.
