Now that Lala has given birth to the twins she's started to see life differently. Things aren't just about her or her feelings for Tre anymore. She has agreed to stay in her lane and not bring any drama Tre's way as long as he agrees to handle his business when it comes to her children but will she be able to keep her word once she sees how attentive Tre is to his other kids and how unattention he is to hers? Lala isn't the only problem that Tre has, now that Tamika knows his secret she is using it to her advantage and she doesn't care about Kisha or Lala! She has her mind set on one thing and one thing only...making Tre hers but will she push things too far and end up getting more than what she bargained for? And last but not least, there's wifey, Tre's main chic Kisha. Kisha has stuck with him through thick and thin. She has taken him back time and time again and forgiven him more times than she can even count but has she stuck around strictly because of her love for him or could it be that she isn't as innocent as everyone thinks...
I was born and raised in VA. I am a proud mother of three, two girls and one boy. MY motivation behind my writing is personal experiences, things that I've seen, and just everyday issues.
Part 2 picks up right where Part 1 left off. Lala has finally given birth to her beautiful twin daughters, and while she still has no problems with staying in her lane, she wants Tre to at least realize that he has two other children in the world and show some interest in them. She continues to play her part, not bothering him, keeping her promises to not destroy what he already has with his sons mother as long as he handles his business and does his part. Being given excuse after excuse of why he cant do certain things or be there for important dates is pushing Lala to her breaking point. Will Lala be able to be both mother and father to her children or will she start to realize Tre will never step up and handle things for her children the way she needs him to? Tamika is back and just as trifling as ever, she smiles up in Kisha's face but is plotting and doing her dirty the whole time. She knows Tre's secret and using that to her advantage to get what she has been wanting all along... Tre. Will she be able to go through with her plans or will things become out o control for the both of them? Kisha is the perfect little house girlfriend or is she? She stays with Tre time after time, knowing his cheating ways and takes him back all the time for the sake of their family. She makes sure the boys are well taken care of, the house is cleaned, and she doesn't go out too much so Tre knows where she is at all time. Is Kisha as innocent as she seems or is she covering up a major secret that could effect her family?
I read this book in a few hours. Once I started I just couldnt put the book down. La'Tonya West is an author everyone should check out. She paints the picture to these stories in a way that you can clearly see in your mind whats going on I loved it from beginning to end there was so much drama, between Tre and all his women. Tamika is like a stalker she is doing everything possible to get Tre's attention even by blackmailing him and he is still not interested in her. The only reason he has any dealings with her is because he wants her to keep her mouth shut about what she knows. Lala goes through so much this time around, the birth of her daughters, trying to raise twin babies alone, other family complications that she has to deal with and she does it all alone. All she asks is that Tre just somehow acknowledge the girls, hold them anything but he continues to give her hope and lets her down again. What Lala does to show him that she is serious turns his happy world upside down. This series is a must read if your looking for drama, lies, and more lies, this book will definitely keep you on your toes wondering whats going to be revealed next. Great job again La'Tonya cant wait to get started on part 3!
Everybody had they moment of craziness in this book sheesh! Some lasting longer than others. Lala was pushed to the limit, Tre acted a damn fool, Kisha hit her breaking point and Tamika was still up to her no god ways. On to book 3 to read more drama and ratchet behavior!
Tre need to stop thinking with his penis and use the head that he should be using. How you going to let a whore like Tamika black mail you into having sex cause you want to keep secrets? They both got what they deserved
In my opinion, this book was better than the first book.
At one point in this book, I wanted to sucker punch Tre. Everything that he was going through, and putting others through, was because of his own doing. He wanted a wifey, side chic, and more. He never thought of how his actions would ultimately be the undoing of his family, that he so desperately didn't want to lose.
Lala was too old to be stupid. She went into the relationship with her eyes open wide. How could she be surprised when Tre didn't show the same affection and attention to their daughters, uhm, in the great scheme of things honey, Lala, Laila, and Lola don't exist. Lala knew Tre wasn't going to give up Kisha and his boys for her and her girls.
Kisha, I can't even say I was sorry for her. She set the tone for her relationship with Tre when she forgave him all those other countless times he cheated. He knew she would be mad, but with a little sweet talking, she would be over it. The way that she sought revenge was not classy at all.
The book had me SMH, because you have to have very little self-esteem to even want to be a side chic. But, there are many women who play this position well.
I was not disappointed at all with Pt 2. Tre started off being a real a**hole to lala and his babie. I was like if his ass could find time to sneak and have a two year affair wit her then he could find time to see his kids. 'KISHA' i started of feeling sorry for her but than again im like u put up wit his sh!t for all of them years and yo a** still didnt leave him. Then come to find out her ass ain't so innocent after all. What really piss me off about her was when she jump on lala was she was holding her baby (lowdown move) smh. TAMIKA" to me Tre and Tamika stiuation was funny, how u gonna blackmail somebody so they can sleep wit u lol. Can't wait for pt 3 so i can see who survived & who didnt !!!
I enjoyed the book but tre was doing to much n lala had a lot of growning up to do for her to be so much older I wou ldnt have thought that but I waiting on the third part
Tre wasn't sh*t the last book and most of this one but he slowly started redeeming himself...and then got shot lol. Kisha should have left him a long time ago. I was waiting for her drunk ass to get into a wreck and kill someone. It's like as soon as Tre became a better person she turned into the ain't sh*t person. Who fights someone holding a baby? LaLa is a dumb ass, I don't even know why she was upset with Tre not being there after she had the babies. She knew what it was when she let him hit it raw. He wasn't sh*t then and she knew he had a whole family. SMH. Everyone in this is trash except for the babies and grandparents lol. It will be interesting to see how Kisha and Lala handle Tre getting shot. This was a really good read.

Babe when I say this book was the sh$$t. Tre should have kept on playing nice with lala and maybe he could have still had his family. Kisha act like she was so innocent but all the time she had secrets to. Lala should have beat the living daylight out of Keisha for that stunt she pulled. Tamika is a hot mess like how you approach that man at your mans house just triffling
I love this story. It's as if it was written just for me. Others can relate to this of course. It's even better than the first book. More character development in this one, focusing on Lala's struggles that feel so real. This books shows the other side of men's side piece. I won't spoil it but the ending makes you want to keep reading the series. It's a must read.
This second book is off the chain. There are part in here that I didn't even see forthcoming. It was many different turns the book made. I am going to go right into Book 3 right now.
I am so loving the side chic series. I started reading this over my beach vacation on Monday and already on Side Chic 3 on Wednesday. If you want something good to read I would recommend this series…
This was an enjoyable read I love how the author kept it real and the different characters reiterated how the mess Kisha, Tre, and Lala had gotten themselves was their own fault. She was straight to the point and the drama was endless I loved this boo because we all know that 2 people in a relationship is fireworks but ad another two and that is an all out war plus kids I am now reading PR 3
All I can say is you got to read this series. Kisha finally found out about tre dirt. I want to see lala and Reggie get together I just hope he don't turn out crazy. Casper found out about his skanky take girl smh. Just a hot mess!!
