When fourteen year old Diana Daniels settled in to watch the boys while her dad was out, she didn't expect much trouble. Next thing she knows, there's a psycho werewolf on the loose and a mysterious woman who claims to have known her mother is her only chance for making it through the night unscathed.
2022 re-read: This was pretty good. * Poor Diana is expecting a pizza delivery, but gets way more than she bargained for when the pizza delivery guy is attacked by a werewolf! * I loved how badass Diana was, her brother and his best friend have been kidnapped, and immediately she comes up with a solution - if the guy who kidnapped them wants to turn her into a werewolf, why not let someone else do it first to take that away from him?! Talk about a rash but ballsy solution 🤣 * How bloody weird that this guy was not only stalking Diana and wanting to turn her, but he also stalked her mother, and turned her! What is wrong with this guy? * And then her father is so calm when he finds out! Although I guess he already dealt with it with her mother 🤷🏻♀️ * 'So are you feeling human?' - 'Almost'

I’m not the biggest fan of short stories, but I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised at how good this story was! Diana is such a likeable character, and even though we don’t spend much time with her, it seems really easy to work out what sort of person she is, and to get to know her in a really short time. The storyline was really good, and I didn’t guess what was coming next. It was fast-paced, as this was only a short story, but it didn’t feel too rushed which was nice.
Overall; a great short story! Recommended for werewolf and paranormal fans. 8 out of 10.
I liked the story, but felt is needed about 50 more pages so it did not seem so rushed. Because that is how I felt... rushed. Not sure how Diana had time to digest what was happening as I was having a hard time digesting it in the rapid fire of events, and it was not even happening to me.
