India is an ever-evolving country. While democracy inspires innumerable achievements in the arts, education, technology, and business, in rural and impoverished India, the gulf between the rich and poor grows increasingly wider. Amitabh Singh in Round Pizza in a Square Box shares a number of hard-learned lessons that have inspired him to more than twenty-five years of service on behalf of India's impoverished men, women, and children. His message encourages even the most distant reader, showing that with the right mindset and a strong dose of compassion, they too can make an immeasurable difference in this world.
Amitabh Singh is an international speaker and author who travels on behalf of impoverished children, raising awareness and support for their education and care. He is driven by his passion to see disadvantaged children given the opportunity to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams.
Amitabh grew up in Calcutta, India. During his childhood years, he observed the missionary legends Dr. Mark & Huldah Buntain and Mother Teresa’s compassionate work for the sick and the poor, and was inspired by their example.
As a young man, he pursued his passion for both business and his Christian faith, earning a Bachelors of Commerce degree at Calcutta’s St. Xavier’s College, and a Masters of Divinity in Bangalore, India. For the next several years, he initiated and worked at the grass roots level in diverse empowerment programs for the poor, serving as Assistant Pastor to Dr. Buntain in Calcutta.
