General George S. Patton, Jr. believed in reincarnation. This original pamphlet by Karl F. Hollenbach illustrates the General’s belief from his childhood to his final days.
An examination of Patton’s poem, “Through A Glass, Darkly”, explains and clarifies references Patton made to previous lives.
The author has appendixed a brief history of reincarnation so the reader can see a few of the potential writings General Patton may have encountered during his education along with a quick listing of other commanders and leaders who also believed in reincarnation. The author has expanded the original pamphlet’s Bibliography.

Another Goodreads First Reads winner shared this book with me and let me read it. As my husband served under General Patton in WWII, I was interested to read about him. I had never heard that he was interested or believed in reincarnation as is told in Patton: Many Lives, Many Battles ~ interesting little book.
Patton ~ Many Lives, Many Battles ~ General Patton & Reincarnation is a short factual book about Patton's belief in reincarnation. Mr. Hollenbach has added three Appendixes to his original writing giving additional information about other figures in history that refer to reincarnation and studies on the subject.
As an educator of young children, several times over the years I have listen to children make comments as they play about when they were here before, as in one of the studies. One little girl at about age 2.5 insisted she needed her ears pierced like when she was here before & her parents let her get them pierced as she continued to tell very elaborate stories of her past life. By the time she went to school, she didn't remember any of her stories but she loved her pierced ears and her earring collection.
This book is very interesting, quick read. After reading it, I wanted more information and greater details on the subject, so I am off to look up some of those studies.
I received this book through the generosity of the author and the Goodreads First Reads Giveaway program. I send my thanks to both.
