The illustration of Mr. G dressed as a flower is a distinct memory to me. Anyways, this book was actually really sweet! Katie overhears that Mr. G will be cutting off his ponytail and they will have a substitute teacher the next day. Because Suzanne starts jumping to conclusions, Katie’s class worries that Mr. G is leaving and decides to act out with the substitute. Katie switcheroos into Mr. G and finds out that he was just dressing up as a clown to cheer up sick kids in the hospital. This is one book in which I don’t think she screws up too badly while being in someone else’s body, because she was able to cheer up the sick kids. It was a sweet touch about Katie getting everyone to donate their flowers to the sick kids.
they overhear mr g talking and they thought he was going to leave the school. she bumps into mr g at the store and he tells her he's not leaving the school.
