Rada was born in Transylvania, ten miles away from Dracula's Castle. Growing up between communists and vampires taught her that humans are fickle, but one can always rely on dogs and books.
After she immigrated to join her husband, she went to medical school, then worked in the ER for years, but she still speaks like Dracula's cousin.
Her thrillers feature Dr. Emma Steele, a not-so-young ER doc with a moody teenage daughter and a fondness for wine. If blood, gore and serial killers turn you on, check out OVERDOSE, MERCY, and POISON. If you're into dark medical humor, check her STAY AWAY FROM MY ER. But if you're into dogs, the K-9 Heroes series is for you.
To celebrate Gypsy, Rada's beloved German Shepherd, Emma adopted a quirky, bacon-loving K-9 named Guinness who runs her life through Mercy and Poison.

Who knew

Who knew cruise ships could be so hazardous! Dr. Emma has left the ER behind and taken a berth on a cruise ship as the passenger physician. Murders abound, and Dr. Emma is on the hunt for the murderer.
Dr. Jones does a great job with her descriptions of life as a ships Dr. The limited tools at their disposal for both diagnostics and treatment would be a nightmare for these Dr's. Add this to the fact that the hours are terribly long and it is a very tough job.
Dr. Jones descriptions of the port cities as seen through the eyes of Dr. Emma is wonderful. Her descriptions of the sights and smells really take you on this journey.
Well done.

Another Winner

By now I've resigned myself to just accept that wherever Dr Emma Steele goes so does trouble! I've also come to accept that hard as I try to figure out the culprit I am always wrong. Great characters and storyline go hand in hand with this author. The added bonus is when Emma goes off the ship to visit a port, you will really feel like you are right there with her. The descriptions and points of interest are beyond words. Excellent!

Another great read

Well, I’ve just finished book 5 and it did not disappoint. There are so many ways 5 books could sound alike but, Rada keeps the stories unique, fast-paced and thrilling. The ending was quite a surprise and I wonder what she will do to keep engaging the questions. Now I’m on to the next book. Rada, keep writing, I don’t want to run out of your books. Thanks.

Very good medical mystery

I like cruise mysteries. Also, quite a few medical situations. Good mystery. Descriptions of Japan when on tours. Gave a 4 not a 5 as I didnt feel the descriptions of madams and houses of ill repute were needed. Will certainly read the next book!

see evil

A compelling book, hard to put down. Learning so much about wines but more important trying to figure out who. I am hooked on Rada Jones MD. And am sure her next book is even better.

Interesting ending

So will Emma see Sean again?? Lets hope not. Good reading, don't think I ever want to take a cruise. I can't wait for Emma to get home. I miss Guinness.
