Perhaps the only positive about this book is that it's short.

As to the claim made in the title - that it provides any understanding of finance - that is patently false. This guide starts with an egregious claim (that the purpose of business is to make profit, as though profit for profit's sake has any meaning), and then goes on to rattle off a long, and quite useless, list of financial terms and mechanisms. At no point does it give any explanation as to why any of them matter; why, even, they have any meaning except as tools to manipulate the reality of financial health.
