I started out writing paranormal romance under a few pen names that didn’t get very far in the publishing world. Later on, after years of not writing, I debuted in small press and used the name of Caitlyn McKenna. My first releases were Echoes of Angels (later re-released as The Keeper of Eternity) and Descent of Demons (later re-released as The Price of Eternity). When I began writing erotic romance, I wrote under the name of Jeya Jenson for several epublishers/small presses such as Ellora’s Cave, Extasy Books and others. Later, I was offered a contract by a NY publishing house, and neither pen name was acceptable to the editor. After batting some names around, I became Devyn Quinn. Several of my Jeya Jenson titles also made the jump to print, such as Flesh and the Devil (Kensington Aphrodisia), Before Night Falls (now published as Sins of the Flesh, Kensington Aphrodisia) and Sins of Flesh (now published as Sins of the Night, Kensington Aphrodisia).

At this time I write solely under the name of Devyn Quinn and will continue to do so in

'Seduced' by Devyn Quinn is book one in the "Kith & Kynn" series. This is the story of Rachel Marks and Devon Carnavorn.
Rachel had to closer her bookshop due to money issue and it would seem a ex boyfriend taking some money. Rachel seems to have always been a loner and now she a growing debit that she has to pay. So Rachel thinks to go waitress at a popular bar to make some quick money. There she meets Devon who is the boss of the bar.
Devon is about 150 year old vampire that had once had his sole mate but she died. Now he is just going from girl to girl and it has become boring for him. Devon type of vampire only takes blood when they are having sex...they are sexual vampires. When Devon meets Rachel he is highly attracted to her and thinks she might possible be another sole mate for him.
Rachel does not want to have a relationship with her boss and tires to tell Devon that...but Devon doesn't take no for an answer.
This was a quick, hot read.

~INCONSISTENT BUT ORIGINAL EROTIC VAMPIRE ROMANCE~

Opening Line: "Immortality was within his grasp, if only he'd reach for it."

Devon Carnavorn is bored with his immortal existence. He's also lonely having lost his creator and love of his life Ariel, a hundred years before. The orgies and endless string of nameless, faceless partners are wearing him out. However being a Sexual Vampire or 'Kynn' Devon needs the energy and connection obtained from the sexual act to survive. So what's a gorgeous, undead nightclub owner to do? He's considered suicide, walking into the sun would be quick and easy but he's never quite had the courage for his final act. Instead Devon coasts through decades of multiple partners both male and female in a vain hope that one day he will find his other half, his 'she-shaey'.

Just when it seems like he can't face another night the lovely but down on her luck Rachel walks into his Goth nightclub and applies for a waitressing job. Devon is immediately entranced and, Bonus, she bares the birthmark denoting her to be his other half. He wants her like no other, he wants her for eternity but he's going to have to play it cool; he can't scare her away and will defiantly have to ease her into his alternative lifestyle. Unable to keep his eyes off her as she works, Devon stares down from his office windows and visits her as she sleeps, having ghostly dream sex with her willing body. He even swears off woman, now having sex only with his protégé Julian. Devon then tries to woo Rachel with roses and gifts but she's not having it.

Rachel's had a hard time of late; she's just lost her business and is flat broke and this Goth scene isn't really her style. The uniforms are too revealing and the patrons too wild. She's only taken this job to get out of debt. Rachel has also been burned one too many times in love and even though she immediately desires Devon wanting him, fantasising about him while in the bathtub. She also has a rule she won't date the boss.

I enjoyed this book. It has an interesting story line and the characters and situations are detailed and well written. It's also quite romantic for erotica and contains a touching love story. The initial sexual encounter between our heroes doesn't take place until well into the book which I appreciated, reader foreplay if you will. The sex scenes are explicit though and for the most part dark with just about anything your into being done including; massages and sponge baths, mastrubation, bloodletting, multiple partners and male on male. So it's sure to please all...or some.

However SINS OF THE FLESH wasn't without its faults. Devon as the hero is very inconsistent in his behaviour. At times he's nervous and bumbling and in the next event becomes a masterful alpha male. Rachel has also been written as shy and nervous then turns into a bit of a gutter mouthed tramp. She's also way too trusting. For instance after waiting well over a hundred years for Rachel, courting her and now unable to live without her Devon surprises Rachel by inviting her to an orgy then tells her she must choose; if she loves him she will have sex with a lot of strangers and if she leaves she can never come back, its over. There's also a really strange scene in a public park involving a knife which would have had me screaming and putting up a fight instead of saying okay cut me, I trust you even though I don't really know you.

If you're looking for unique erotica involving vampires where just about anything goes then you will enjoy this dark love story.

I'm bummed. I was really into this book, loving where it was going until I got to the 24th chapter. So close to the end of the book and a scene just ruined it for me. I read romance books for the romance. My personal opinion is an orgy is not romance, it's just sex. I have a hard time believing a man loves you if he wants you to have sex with multiple partners while he has sex with multiple partners. I wasn't even expecting it to happen. Yes, it mentions he did this before he met her but I mistakenly thought this was going to be a player who gets reformed by meeting his soul mate. It even seemed like he didn't touch another woman since he met her. if it wasn't for that one scene, I really would have liked this book. Devon is a vampire who lost a mate a long time ago. When Rachel applied for employment at his club, you knew there was an immediate attraction. Devin came off as falling fast and hard for Rachel and "seduced" her until she agreed to see him outside of her employment at his club. They had great chemistry and the story was well written. If you don't care about the sharing in the one scene, then this is a book I would recommend.

"Seduced", book one in the "Kith & Kynn" series is the story of Rachel and Devon.

The prologue introduced me to Devon at the time at his transformation. It was a very interesting approach towards vampirism: the vampires feed only when having sex.
Years later, Devon is an older vampire without a mate and living a solitary but very sexual life.

Rachel is in need of money so she gets a job as a waitress in a very popular place. While working she meets the owner Devon.
Sparks start to fly and there is definitely a strong attraction at first sight between Devon and Rachel. Devon decides that Rachel will become his mate and he starts pursuing her. All his charm and patience pays off eventually.

This was a quick read, a very erotic/ sexual book. I must say I could have lived without reading about the orgy where Rachel was invited. The sex between Rachel and Devon was ok but not steamy enough for me.
The story didn't have a plot, except for Devon pursuing Rachel, not even a world build. I have read in the past erotic books with very good plots or character build to know that "Seduced" failed to do it.
So, it's not really a book or a series that I would like to read more off in the future because it didn't have any elements to get me interested.

This is not a safe read in any way, and therefore didn't enjoy it. The blurb was so interesting, and it was right in my wheelhouse. Well, it was nothing like I thought. This is straight up erotica and unsafe on so many levels. I'm not someone that needs everything all sunshines and rainbows, but there are some limits.

If you enjoy erotica without the romance, this might be for you. If you enjoy FF as well as orgies and multiple scenes of blood play, this might be for you. I could go on, but if you are okay with all of the above I think it's safe to say you'll enjoy this book no matter what.

I would like to clarify that my personal beliefs on orgies, homosexuality, pansexuality, blah blah blah is very different than what I want to read. I could care less what people want to do as long as no one is getting hurt emotionally or physically. However, my reading preferences are different. I enjoy MF, MM, MMF, MFM but that's that extent.

I don't read a lot of paranormal and when I do I'm a bit picky. This was a pretty good read for an erotic paranormal romance. It was super hot.

Devon has been roaming this earth for almost two centuries. His sire, the woman he loved, was killed by a man who hates vampires and since Devon hasn't been happy. He's never gotten over Ariel, that's of course until he meets Rachel.

Rachel looks a lot like Ariel, and from the moment she meets Devon she can't get him out of her mind anymore than he can get her out of his. Rachel tries her best to keep away, but the attraction is stronger than her and his will. Devon knows she'll be his, and gives her time but not too much that she'll get away. When the time comes he introduces her to his world, then it's up to her to stay or leave.

I enjoyed this book a bit more than I thought I would. Though I think Rachel's realization of what Devon is and how she handles it isn't great. I can see why she runs away and doesn't want anything to do with him. But the bit about cutting her losses and how she plays with the thought about suing him and going to the police kind of bothered me. It didn't seem to fit with the story and how I would've expected her to handle it. Especially when she quickly changes her mind and decides his world isn't maybe too bad.

Overall it was a good read. I'll definitely read book 2.

This started out so good. I read till about 65%. Couldn't put it down. Then I guess my sensibilities got the best of me. Hey I like reading sexy kinky stuff. I don't consider myself too prudish when I read, but there is things I don't like.

I have difficulty with the concept of I love you, but let's have sex with lots of other people...but you are my only one and I only love you. I guess the old fashion girl in my can't handle that. I know a lot of people will love this storyline and yeah it is as kinky as you can get with orgies and blood play, but not for me. I would not have chosen this if I had known, the blurb does not allude to it.

Not my cup of tea but I am sure it will be for others.

Things seemed to be going well in the beginning. It was well paced. Devon is getting to know Rachel. Rachel does seem sensible. She is sad because fee book store had to close. Devon comes into the picture. Then it moves lightning speed and makes zero sense to me. I like you and I want you to be my blood mate. Bam...something happens and they are together than not together. Ughh... could have been better. The description was great just didn't deliver the goods.

Wow, this is, I think, an erotic read. Devon is enamoured by Rachel and tries to bring her into his world. At first she's not sure, then she is, then she isn't......typical female brain, overhauling something she doesn't understand. The characters were well written and the storyline makes it a pleasure to read

Ok so this is a close 4 star, I really enjoyed the beginning, up until the scene a few other reviews complained about..... don't get me wrong it wasn't horrible, it just didn't seem to fit well, then the story got odd after that. I don't feel like I read enough to understand the Lynn, just a few to many holes. But in all I found the story intriguing and incredibly sexy.

I got this book from net gallery for an honest review.

Wow I absolutely loved this book and was intrigued by the narrative.

Devon, is a wealthy vampire who owns various gothic like nightclubs. He is an incredibly sensual vampire but he has lost his way since losing his blood mate, Ariel. He's lost his sense of purpose and sex has just become a physical release to his hunger but he desperately misses the true blood connection which takes sexual pleasure to a whole new level.

Rachel has recently lost her business and is up to her eyeballs in debt. She needs to pay the bills therefore, she decides to apply for a job at Mystique Nightclub.

Rachel has heard various rumours about Devon and his sexual escapades. However, nothing could have prepared her for the face to face encounter. Devon is sexy, hot and oozes sex appeal. Rachel made me laugh, she pretty much has an orgasm just looking at him lol. The chemistry between these two is intense from the very beginning. I was surprised that my kindle didn't blow up from the hot sexual vibes emanating from these two. These two have the ability to steam up a room just by eye fucking each other.

Rachel gives Devon a run for his money when she turns down his advances. She doesn't want to be another notch on his bedpost and tries her very best to ignore her body's desire for Devon. Will she succeed in avoiding his advances?

Rachel awakens something inside Devon and his attraction and need for Rachel is unbearable. He wants her and needs her to become his mate for eternity. He pursues her persistently but remains patient. Rachel's desires are evident from her body's response to him but the walls around her heart are guarded so he simply waits until her walls melt away.

This book was incredibly erotic, hot and steamy. It did include a couple of orgies but the moments between Devon and Rachel were sexy and yet breathtaking. I particularly liked the moments when Devon appears to Rachel in the winds and shadows: touching and caressing her . These moments literally gave me goosebumps and I didn't find them creepy- I really liked the idea behind this it was definitely creative and unique. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one. Im definitely adding Devyn Quinn to my favourite author list.

Seduced,  Devyn Quinn

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Erotica, Romance

I was really looking forward to this, sounded right up my street but...I didn’t like it.

First issue was Rachel, I found her really selfish. Her ex employee, trusted and valued while she had her bookshop, becomes someone she’s happy to dismiss as soon as she doesn’t need her...and the poor women is only 62 ,but she’s described as practically senile in Rachel's views.
Then Rachel goes from waitress to higher and then gone in just a few days, and though she was a more than willing participant in what happened, is one of those irritating women who call  foul after the deed is done, blaming everyone else and saying she didn’t really understand. Yep Rachel, would that be before or after you got naked, before or after you mulled over never having had sex with a woman before. Grrr....
Then the cheque issue – how grasping and immoral was she? Nope, I really, really didn’t like her. That means of course I can’t get behind her, want things to work out for her and spoils the way I take to the story.
I had issues with Devon too though, couldn't believe he would honestly be as all-in after only a couple of days, could really show her his world to that extent, change her life so much, when he knew so little about her. That was a huge risk to the Kynn, and something that I'm sure he wouldn’t have tolerated in his position as Chancellor from anyone else.
I struggle too with the whole I love you, lets have sex with lots of others concept.....my issues of course but ones that affected how I felt about the novel.

Guess my star rate comes as no surprise then – but as always its only how I feel, and everyone wants something different so this could be exactly what you want. I really don’t like Terry Pratchett books either but they sell in the millions :-)
Reading is subjective, thankfully we’ve a huge range to choose from.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a quick, dirty, paranormal read. It felt a lot like a short story that had been fleshed out into a book. In this first installment, the world was just barely introduced by way of the main character’s memories.

Rachel got to live her dream of being a bookstore owner for a few years, but times are tough and she has had to cut her losses and find other work. Turns out, people aren’t really looking to hire a very overqualified candidate, which is what puts Rachel at the front door of a trendy Goth nightclub. Willing to take whatever she can get, she puts in to be a waitress and is begrudgingly resigned to her fate until she meets the boss. Davon is a vampire (known here as “Kynn”) who has lost his spark for life. He feeds on only a small amount of blood and takes the large portion of his sustenance from sex. As such, he radiates a sexual energy that Rachel can’t deny.

They try to play by the rules and not mix work with pleasure, but Devon is convinced that she is his bloodmate. In an effort to hold on to her, he ends up rushing things along a bit too fast for Rachel (for me, too). Introducing her to his world of hedonistic pleasure definitely changes their relationship. Although there is a lot of drama, we ultimately get a happy ending with everything tied up neatly.

I'm not really sure where to begin with this review..

So after shutting down her book store, Rachel takes a job at a gothic night club where she meets her new boss, the charming Devon. Devon is a "pleasure" vampire AKA "Kynn".

Let's stop there, so we don't get to in-depth... I'm not a spoiler review..

Bottom line... once the book was at its peak, it took a nose drive in the wrong direction. It became awkward, there was no "felt" connection between the characters the writing appeared to be extremely forced.....
I don't know.. It was just weird...that's is the best way to describe it.

Overall this book was "OK". I think it had the bones to become something so much more... but once it hits it's prime, it was down hill from there.

3.5 STARS

So here we are introduced to another type of vampire......The Kynn....The Sexual Vampires...
These are creatures who drink their mate's blood while having sex which takes them to another level of Ecstasy.
Rachel looks like Ariel the vampire who turned Devon 150 years ago. But it's not just similarity in looks but something else that is uniquely Rachel which arises feelings that were dead for years after Ariel was killed by a vampire hunter. it takes time but Rachel accepts and enters his world And becomes a vampire at the end.
Okay I know there is an orgy in the book. But for me it's the hottest thing. Some people might think how can you love someone and want her for eternity and watch her have sex with someone else .... people there's voyeurism and swinging and open relationship happening today. Everyone has their own kinks....
Other than that it was a nice read

Marie's Tempting Reads Netgalley ARC Review:

Seduced isn't exactly what I expected. It was actually a bit more. Sensual, different, and yet interesting, Seduced is the kind of book that can intrigue and leave you a bit breathless. I loved the whole paranormal element. Vampires have always been one of my favorite paranormal creatures. Sexy, dominant, possessive, they bring a certain sex appeal that is amazingly delicious.

This story isn't your average erotic paranormal romance either. Its unique. Not in a bad way, but in an interesting way. I liked Devyn and Rachel. They had a certain chemistry that is irresistible.

Seduced gets a SEDUCTIVE FOUR SHOOTING STARS! Its a great story that will definitely draw in those paranormal fans.

Having read this story many years ago under the name of Sins of the Flesh, I must admit that so much time has gone by that I can't really comment on the fact that it is now revised and expanded from the original content.

I will say that it was entertaining to revisit the world of the Kith & Kynn and the sensual beings that live in between the light and the darkness, but I was disappointed with the multiple partner aspect of the story and Rachel's willingness to share and be shared by Devon.

This is probably the reason I only rated this story 3 Stars many years ago, as sharing is not usually a concept embraced by supposed bloodmates.

Received through NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a story about the Kynn. A vampire race that thrives on sex and some blood. Surprisingly, they don't have fangs but use small knives. Devon is a 150 year old vampire. His sire and love was killed long ago. But after meeting Rachel, he finds his love again. But Rachel isn't about to give in to her lust that easily.

The book is a good story. But like other reviewers, the sexual orgies seemed to push it. In the end I felt that Rachel gave up too easily on her human life.

Intriguing new series. Rachel is forced to close her small bookstore and as the debt collectors are calling she need a job. Doing what she must, she ends up getting a job at the hottest nightclub in town. Devon is a fallen vampire, an outcast. Forced to endure a meaningless and loveless eternity until he sees Rachel, who is now his employee. This is a fast paced read with lots of drama and steamy sex. The chemistry between Rachel and Devon is hot and I liked the story. Looking forward to more.

I really wanted to like this book more. I normally love reading paranormal romances but I just couldn't quite warm up to this. Don't get me wrong, I liked Devon. Handsome with the right amout of sinful. Rachel, however, I just couldn't quite "like". It took very little to push her past her comfort zone. Rather than cheering on this couple I found I just couldn't get invested in them. The writing, descriptiveness and depth of character were all well done. Devyn Quinn is an author that I will definitely be reading more.

This is one of those rare times that I dnf-ed a book. I read about a third before I finally gave up. There was no plot development, no character development, and the writing was mediocre at best. The sex scenes were poorly written, often the word choice did not evoke "oh, that's sexy," thoughts, but rather, "eww, that just sounds gross!"
I had such high hopes for this book based on the blurb, but sadly, it just fell so short of what I expected.

One of a new genre of romance novels in that they are very explicit and in your face with the sex. Not a bad read, overall, but I found parts of it lacking an 'umph'. (Though not the sex scenes, I must add.) The writer is good and paces it well- I just think it could have been a wee bit more 'felshed' out in parts. But not a bad after dark read!

This book started out with my attention, as I read the less attention I gave it till I just gave up and didn't even finish. It was recommended to me by two different people, and as I stated it started off really well and went progessively bad till I just lost interest about page 52. There are just too many books out there to stick with one that doesn't hold your interest anymore.

I liked when Devon was sweet, "the door to the stall opened. An inquiring gray gaze skimmed her body. “Good morning,”Devon said, his voice still husky with the remnants of sleep. “I have to say you’re quite a sight to wake up to.” This book was naughty, naughty, naughty. I liked this book, I can't wait for the next one.
