In this her third book, the author, a student of "A Course in Miracles" offers us a six-week program of meditation, affirmations, journaling and other exercises to help us make small daily changes in our thinking that will result in big changes in our lives, i.e., miracles. The book is divided into six chapters, each focusing on a different area of our lives such as relationships, the body, finances, etc. The major themes of the book include the ego, love, fear and forgiveness.
The author used the teachings of the "Course" to turn her life around after hitting rock bottom, much like her predecessor and mentor, author and spiritual activist Marianne Williamson, did a generation ago. Now she’s teaching others what she’s learned in this program, a sort of micro-version of the Course. The program’s design is simple and easy to follow and I liked the author’s gentle and forgiving approach in coaching the reader through the process.
One of my favorite quotes from the book is “For my peace and the peace of the world, I choose love.”
