Started in 1998, The Mousekaroos has been an ongoing and life-consuming pet project of author and illustrator Sarah Davis (known online as SADCAT), who one day decided to create a unique world of her own in which to while away the countless hours tormenting and humiliating her quirky and sometimes deranged alien characters. Now one of the longest-running online comics. The Mousekarooshas amassed an equally quirky following, evolving into a psychosomantic fantasy/adventure like no other. Readers have not only embraced the comic characters, but allowed themselves to enter the Mousekaroo world that has been so finely-tuned and realistically portrayed as to have now become its own reality.

So Sit back, relax, and prpare to enter the world of The Mousekaroos

Where to begin? I began reading this comic in the early '00s, and became incredibly enthralled with Davis's work. Her art had that surface simplicity that pulled the eye toward details that a first glance misses. The protagonist, Blue, begins the story with no memory, starved, and on the cusp of adventure (and torture). He's joined by Jade, Rasp, and a host of other characters.
Sadly this is the only print edition of the series. The story does indeed branch beyond this first volume, and the world within is fully developed with wonderful creatures. You can still pick up a copy a lulu press.
