Es imprescindible si te gustan los juegos de rol, más imprescindible aún si te gusta Vampiro.
Esta reseña es, además, de la magnífica edición de bolsillo que lanza Nosolorol. Si bien la edición estándar es estupenda y con una calidad de producción altísima, con 528 páginas es un tanto difícil de manejar y consultar. Eso sí, puedes parar balas con ella o matar a alguien a palos. Pero no es práctico.
Esta edición por el contrario, es ligera, manejable, flexible, y mantiene todas las páginas del manual original. En el aspecto práctico es una maravilla.
En cuanto al contenido, pues... lo tiene TODO. Realmente nunca necesitarás otro libro para jugar a Vampiro: La Mascarada. Es exhaustivo, está bien organizado y celebra maravillosamente este enorme juego.

This is, by far, the best edition of the game!
So well constructed, really informative and well-built, with beautiful art.
Also the mechanics of the game are much better.
It's not surprising that everyone loves this edition, including me.
It will always be the ultimate guide to VtM!!!

Definitely the most comprehensive modern Vampire the Masquerade ever put out. There was obviously a lot of work put into this book even though it is "just a rehash" of old material, the fact that it is finally all in one place is significantly worth purchasing a copy. There are some significant changes though too, such as fixes to disciplines and some rules as well as needed clarification on quite a few things. I had noticed with some giddiness that an unusual number of the changes made were things that I had house ruled previously, like how they finally made Valeren. It ended up being exactly like I had restructured it years before and if you know anything about how many iterations of Valeren there had been from when it was first made till V20 you will understand how profound that is. And that is just one example. The point is, what they did change was pretty much universally in the right direction.

Vampire: The Masquerade is a Pen & Paper RPG from White-Wolf Publishing. This is the 4th iteration/edition of the game.
The 20th Anniversary edition brings much to the table compared to the previous editions. It has whatever the previous editions offered... and then some. The discipline section now includes elder level disciplines (I wish it included combo disciplines). It also has information on the bloodlines (and their accompanying disciplines) and gives you the option of creating and playing as ghouls (mortals infused with vampiric blood). It of course, updated some of the disciplines and stat sheet. Some disciplines were probably over powered, so they probably did some re-balancing.
Aside from the many number of typos, I have enjoyed this book. I hope I get to play this again soon.

Fantastic introduction for new players, a nicely organised and inspiring read for veterans. While some ideas presented look particularly ridiculous and could as well be excluded (deep sea Gangrels, anyone?), this book combines many other sources, such as the Sabat guide, hence its volume. Will surely refer to it in order to enhance my own chronicles.

El mes de octubre me dediqué casi en exclusiva a leer y "estudiar" este y otros manuales de Vampiro, la mascarada.
Sin duda son mis personajes favoritos dentro de "Mundo de Tinieblas" y nos está proporcionando muy buenas partidas de rol, grandes historias y aventuras con mis amigos.

The definitive version of Vampire. I honestly don't think the 5th edition should try to improve on this, I'd much rather prefer a post-Gehenna setting as rumored, possibly with a brand new system.

A pesar de haber hecho mis pinitos en el rol de mesa, nunca había tenido las ganas ni el tiempo de leerme un manual entero. Ahora, con un grupo de personas esperando a que les lleve de la mano por una versión canaria de Mundo de Tinieblas, me he visto en la gustosa obligación de cambiar esa realidad.
Me he quedado fascinado con lo vasto que es el universo de Vampiro, así como sus conexiones con Wraith, Hombre Lobo, Changeling y otros productos de White Wolf. Si bien no todo está explicado de la mejor manera posible y el sistema de combate es algo aparatoso, la libertad que te ofrece el sistema y el énfasis del aspecto narrativo lo hace bastante atractivo para todo aquel que quiera jugar a rol pero no quiera estar haciendo de calculadora humana con miles de estadísticas y dados.
Creo que esto va a ser el principio de algo muy grande...

Great game, good book. Has a superb collection of content from years and years of play, but it is not perfect in structuring that content. Once in a while, it's hard to find the bits you're looking for. Also has quite a bit of typos and while some art is great, other is only decent.

Wow, the lore. Just stunning in how much thought and detail was put into all of this. I can now see why it became such a popular RPG. Recommend anyone who is into vampires to give this a read. The art was fantastic as well. Plan on reading more of these. Building your own world and rules to it is no easy task. This has certainly given me some inspiration.
