In the name of Glori

Rate this book
What happens when a pop star tries to make a life with a secret agent?

Caught in a battle between saints and sinners, Glori Coulson is only trying to secure fame, fortune, and yes -- true love. Who knew it could be so dangerous?

Having worked and clawed her way to stardom, Glori now has icon status in her sights. But there's the small matter of her fiance, Agent Alain Dusseault, who works for an international covert agency.

Her penchant for finding trouble, not to mention her compulsion for worldwide fame, and Alain's own commitment issues, give him pause.

In an effort to have it all, Glori decides to catapult her success in music into a business empire with her Glori brand. This, she reasons, will give her more time at home. As she builds her entrepreneurial dreams, she builds her own version of the "family" she's always craved.

But things go awry when her friend Cat makes a troubling prediction, and Glori feels compelled to act. Glori steps into a secret agent's nightmare.

Ordinary people in extraordinary situations fuel Maeve Christopher’s imagination. Keep asking “what if” and “why,” and the plot thickens. What could be more fun?

Her bestselling Redemption Series is part family saga, part suspense, and part love story -- with the touch of the Supernatural. Tongue firmly in cheek, it deals with the age-old question: What happens when an assassin falls for a woman who is trying to kill herself?

Maeve’s new series, The Golden Bowl, is set on the scenic coast of Maine. This unusual restaurant caters to the body, soul, and spirit. A large gold bowl on the front porch gives the establishment its name and invites patrons to leave a prayer and take a prayer. When they do: lives change.

Maeve lives in Massachusetts with too many characters and a number of messy subplots. She loves to hear from readers. Subscribe to Maeve’s Email Updates for exclusive content, contests, special offers, and more at http://maevechristopher.com

Funny Funny Funny...is how I would describe Glori..She is one of the agents (Alain) girlfriend or rather fiance'. She is out to save the world. She becomes a junior secret agent and gets yourself in mores messes and has to be rescues while they are trying to do their own missions. At any rate she keeps you laughing through the books as she is downright funny funny funny.. I love the fact that we still read about all the agents we met in the first books, their families, the boss, the ladies in the lives, in US and Europe. Good one Maeve!!! Can't wait for the next book!!

As with the other books in the Redemption Series, the worlds of international espionage and entertainment collide. In her third book (In The Name of Glori), Maeve Christopher throws the fashion and beauty industries into the mix. This novel tells the story of Glori Coulston, portrayed in previous books as a shallow, self-centered, individual. Although she is a witty, endearing character, she can, admittedly, be a trifle irritating at times. In this book Glori morphs into a savvy business woman. Whilst enjoying her new status as a beauty and fashion icon, she makes a conscious effort to help her friends and to make the world a better place. Although her brand achieves meteoric success, Glori encounters a number of personal challenges. These include ongoing problems in her relationship with her secret agent boyfriend, falling victim to the efforts of a blackmailer, being slipped a mind-altering drug and enduring a kidnapping and near death experience. This book entices the reader to become so deeply involved in the story that he finds himself sharing the pain and celebrating the success of Glori and the secret agents into whose dangerous world she has been catapulted. Like the other books in the series, "In The Name of Glori" is very dramatic, exciting and highly entertaining. Kudos, Maeve Christopher, you have consistently produced outstanding work and this book has exceeded expectations. Excellent work as usual.
