The Complete Groupie Trilogy

His eyes were rimmed red when they met mine. "I die inside every time he touches you, and there's nothing I can do about it. You've made it clear that you're going to go on with this sham of a marriage, no matter who it hurts in the process. You lie to everyone, Jordi, including the people you're supposed to love the most. And I just can't take it anymore. This is not the way I want to live my life."

"I thought I was worth it," I mumbled.

"You have no idea what you're worth," he said softly. "That's the problem."

In book #2 of the Fierce saga, Jordi Hemphill has joined her true love Jace Riga on cross-country tour with Giovanni Carnevale and Dreaming in Blue. The star-crossed lovers anticipate the freedom to explore their burgeoning relationship, despite the continued complications of her ties to her tormentor Eddie Nix and Jace's new standing as a rock icon. Nothing is as it seems, which make the pair fodder for the rumor mill. Forces from all directions threaten to tear them apart, but it is Jordi's own insecurities that drive a wedge between the aspiring diva and her hero.

Author Ginger Voight further delves into the key issues that keep Jordi from defeating her demons once and for all. This sweeping saga unearths revelations that will rock Jordi's world forever... and set her on the path to the path to her story's epic conclusion.

Ginger Voight is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.

Ginger discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A. at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car.

In 1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

In 2011, she embarked on a new journey—to publish romance novels starring heroines who look more like the average American woman. These "Rubenesque" romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series. Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the "reality-TV" preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

Known for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish, gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they'll never forget.

* Getting "The Complete Groupie Trilogy" on Amazon, even though you already own all three books individually, so you can keep up with your BR group ... $6.45

** A couple of bottles of wine so you can get through this trilogy for the third time with your BR group ... $27.75

*** Reading with one of the funnest BR groups out there and having them experience this trilogy for the first time so you can laugh at their reaction to the book ... PRICELESS!!!

What can I say that I haven't already said in my reviews of "Groupie", "Rock Star" and "Mogul" ... This is one of my favorite trilogies and I love everything about it. Sexy rock star? Check! Frustrating [at times] but still lovable heroine. Check! Heartache? Check! Lots of angst? Double check! Ginger Voight's fabulous writing? You better believe it!

This may possibly be the toughest review I have ever had to write. The Groupie Trilogy left me feeling frustrated, unsettled, but yet, happy in some ways too. I know. That makes no sense. You'll understand what I mean if you have either read the trilogy or plan to. So, I ask myself, why did I decide to participate in this tour. Well, that's easy to answer. I had seen quite a few fellow bloggers raving about the books. Between the rave reviews and the simple fact that it was about a Rock Star romance, I was sold.

Now, about the characters. Here's where I may sound a bit jaded. I have no idea what life is like for a Rock Star. However, we all have fantasy versions of it our heads. But, there's also a dirty, dark, not so sparkly side of being a star or being in the spotlight. I feel that I need to just come out and say that I really didn't like Vanni. And honestly, that didn't change much throughout the trilogy. That said, he did have moments where he showed his true colors and in those moments, I could see his appeal. But, I won't sugar coat it. Vanni is a womanizer, an alcoholic, addict, and in general pretty selfish. However, he does have a troubled past, that has shaped him into the person he's become. When he meets Andy, his connection with her scares him; makes him feel vulnerable. Despite his best efforts to show his love for her, he always misses the mark. Until the end anyway.

As for Andy...while she was more likable to me, there were SO many times throughout the trilogy that I wanted to smack some sense into this girl. I understood the connection she felt for Vanni. In truth, they met before he became famous and at that time, she wasn't looking for more than a good time herself. Of course, that changed as his pursuit of her continued. In time, she fell in love with him. She forgave his infidelity, his lying, and ego. She justified his behavior by telling herself that they weren't "really together". *pounds head against wall* I will say this, the times that they were in fact "together" were sweet and often sexy. And again, in the end...he is what makes her world spin.

I absolutely have to discuss Graham. He runs the record label and is essentially Vanni and the band's boss. Graham got them out of their first contract with their old label and helped them become stars. Why did I love Graham? He is possibly the reason I continued to read the trilogy. Well, that may be dramatizing it a bit, but I seriously loved Graham. He is just about the perfect guy. Of course he falls in love with Andy, who is love with Vanni. You get the picture. Graham makes life altering sacrifices for Andy. That's just the kind of guy he is and it's a testament to how much he loves Andy. While I personally would have chosen Graham, I was happy with the way his story came to a close. I was happy he found happiness, peace, and love.

In all honesty, it took me a few days to process my thoughts about this book. I can tell you that I'm glad I read this as a trilogy rather than reading the books separately. After I read the first book, I was pretty undecided about how I felt about it. So, it was good that I had the second and third books on hand. Despite the challenges I faced while reading this trilogy, I'd still recommend it. Here's why: I probably felt every emotion a person can feel while reading this trilogy. For me, that's a pretty good indicator of a good story. The Groupie Trilogy is raw, angsty, heartbreaking, frustrating, sexy, romantic, and definitely not for the faint hearted. If you like being completely consumed by stories like this, then this is the trilogy for you. Hang on tight! It's a rollercoaster!

I was provided an ARC of this book for an honest review.....

Buckle your seatbelt for a CRAZY roller coaster ride with this series...... I am typically the kind of girl that NEEDS to have her Happily Ever After in my books and my "book boyfriends" need to W-O-W me with their qualities - even those bad boy rock stars have those right?!? AND I am a sucker for a Rock Star Book!

Why do I need to tell you this?.........

Let me start by saying there is a disclaimer to this series - which makes this all the more FUN FOR ME!

Disclaimer: This series features a hero you might find you love to hate, a heroine you may want to slap, and frustrating triangles with dubious fidelity. Those who cannot abide "cheaters," who need their bad boys to be mostly good, or who must have a HEA at the end of each book, may be advised to look elsewhere.

(OK --- STAY WITH ME.......DON'T GIVE UP ON ME.....LET ME FINISH!)

AND YET........These books I LOVED to HATE and COULD NOT put them down!!! Which is why I want to share these books with YOU. Do "WE" ALWAYS NEED to have everything go perfectly in our books??? (ok, don't answer that)......sooo much angst - so many things made me NUTS - and THEN there were the other parts..... and I just HAD to keep on reading.

Then, I think back to all the times a book made me go CRAZY and not going exactly as I would have planned (ex. Thoughtless, Beautiful Disaster, Reason to Breathe, The Perfect Game, The Edge of Never......I could go on and on, but that is my point --- these were all amazing books) ........... you know what I am talking about - when you just want to (or did) YELL at the characters, you want to throw your kindle across the room, you want to go curl up and just cry! Well isn't that what makes a series so great? You get to watch, HOPEFULLY those characters grow or change, or I don't know, maybe some characters will just take a HIKE...... for the remainder of this review go to http://www.brandeesbookendings.com/a-...

Andy is so clingy and needy it's embarrassing to read , she needs to man up and try to move on with her life . Vanni told her not to expect much yet she thinks they are in a relationship .

I'm thinking on not finishing this because I can't stand the heroine , I have read my share of bodice rippers and none of the heroines are this bad .

So get this Vinni confronts a psycho fan while Andy hides and listens to everything , when things get to hard for Vinni the child to deal with out jumps super-motherfucking-woman from the bathroom or closet (at this point I don't have a fucking clue nor do I care ) and gets in between the psycho and Vinnie then psycho goes bat shit crazy and starts hitting Andy in the head and on her face . After all of this Andy is all bloody and shocked and she asks Vinnie if he's ok .
I figured that some of the blows to the head knocked some sense into her , no such luck at all . So he's comforting her and they end fucking . Obviously everything in this story could be solved with a good fucking , yay for that !

Book 1 = 2 stars

Andy stays to help the man that risked his life for her and Vinni throws the mother of all tantrums because he lost his favorite toy to a real man .

Book 2 = 2 stars

Finally

Book 3 = 2 stars

This sums it up " Giovanni Carnevale was a weak pussy of a man "
No matter what happened this guy had no redeeming quality at all , I've never seen a more worthless MC in my reading life . God

First off, let me say - HOLY EFFING SHIZNIT!!!! 5+ stars Do not miss out.
I have read hundreds of books - I go through 3-4 a week. . . consistently. I have written maybe, 3 reviews. Ever. I give my 5 stars when I love books on goodreads - but I hardly ever do reviews. However, I had to write a review for this trilogy. I got GROUPIE first and it sat in my kindle for MONTHS - maybe even a year. Then, once Mogul (the 3rd book) came out - I thought maybe I should start these soon. So, I bought The Complete Groupie Trilogy (it was cheaper than buying the last two individually) and I let it sit. Once I had finished my current book (which was a huge disappointment) - I was really up in the air with what to read next. I have over 250 purchased unread books on my kindle. . . there was too much to choose from. I decided since this trilogy was done and I wouldn't be left feeling cheated with a cliffhanger for months - I would start it.
Well, let me say that I don't know if I have ever gone through so many emotions at once. From pain to pleasure, from disgust to desire, from happy to sad and then more sad, and from love to hate. These books ripped my heart out and then put it back together again. I loved the characters and then hated them and then loved them again. I was all over the place. A few times, I had to carefully put my kindle down - so I wouldn't chuck it through my front window - and walk away from these people that were turning my emotions upside down! I was up until the wee hours of the morning reading, when I should be sleeping. I was reading everywhere I could read and anytime I could find - because I just couldn't stop. A few times . . . I wanted to skip to the end to see what happens because I just couldn't take the anxiety - I refrained, but only because I knew it would ruin it all for me.
There are such sweet moments in this book - but it is NOT a sweet book. It is filled with lies and cheating and bulls*** circumstances . . . and I loved every damn minute of it! There were times I wanted to be them, then time I wanted to slap them, then cuddle and soothe them, then sometimes I wanted to maybe throw them off the balcony!
Andy - our sweet, innocent, stupid Andy. Sometimes. . . I just wished she was stronger. What she taught me is that love isn't always about strength . . . sometimes it's simply about being utterly weak to it. Unable to do what you should - because your heart insists you do what it needs - even if only for the moment. And sometimes it's about loving someone enough to put them above everything you have ever wanted. And, yes, sometimes it just makes you stupid.
Vanni - he is not the same from beginning to end. He starts as an older BOY and ends as a young man. He made me so mad sometimes, and then there were just as many times that I wanted to hold him and rock him and let him know that he was good enough for real love.
These books are amazing. They are an emotional roller coaster - like no other. It's like being a human pinball of emotions - and sometimes those slams this way and that way HURT and sometimes you sore so high - you can feel your heart floating.
DO NOT LEAVE THESE BOOKS ON YOUR TBR LIST. READ THEM NOW. Put down the book you are reading - or finish it if you must - and then pick these up. Worth every cent - every tear - every slice of pain through the heart. They were so much more "real" to the rocker lifestyle than most other like it. It is NOT rainbows and sunshine - ever. But it is real and raw and crazy! I will read these again - but not until I fully recover from the first time.
Amazing job Ginger Voight - AMAZING JOB! (copied this from my Amazon review)

Intense, frustrating, FULL of WTF situations and a constant struggle to reach a HEA!!!

When I started this trilogy I didn't really know what I was about to read or more specifically what I was about to experience.

No matter how detailed a review or summary for this book can be , there is not a chance to describe my feelings and reactions to this story.

I have read plenty books with rockstars but Giovanni "Vanni" Carnevale should be in a stand-alone category .

Emotionally immature he managed to screw up his life, but most importantly the lives of the people who loved him, over & over again several times. I admit that I had a love- hate relationship with him.

Andy Foster, Vanni's love interest, had to literally go through hell and back for her HEA which came though sacrifices, a lot of tears and rejection. It was a love story after all but in a raw , fucked up way!

Don't get me wrong I loved this book.
I loved the highs and the downs, I loved the fact that this story had the kind of power that could control my feelings and leave me exhausted and emotionally drained.

Bitter-sweet, well written, with graphic characters, strong emotions and rock n' roll!

ugh.....another story about a dirtbag bastard rocker. Vanni's a first class jerk and Andy is a spineless wimp! For once, I would like the woman to have a back bone. I'm thinking I should lay off the rocker stories...Kellan Kyle ruined me - no other rocker will do!!

This book was an interesting read. At some points I was speechless because how much can a couple go through. I mean seriously. Vanni seemed to me like the typical arrogant ass. He only learned his lesson after a tragedy. Andy was frustrating, careless and at times self absorbed. In certain points of the story I couldn't relate and I was wishing for her downfall. Graham seriously get a pair.

Overall it was worth it to read and this is 3 books in 1 so make sure you digest before each book.

If you are looking for an emotional roller coaster ride, this is the book for you. You will love, hate, despise, and once again embrace these characters with all their faults and selfish life decisions. This is not a book for those looking for pie in the sky romance. This is a gut-wrenching story of a life we fantasize about- the life of a Rock Star. It is complete with the underbelly and raw facts that make this a compelling story not to be missed.

While I enjoyed the 1st book in series, the second two were just regurgitations of the same drama as the 1st book. It was OTT in that respect. I didn't like the reasonings why they couldnt announce they were together, it just didn't ring true and was just the authors way of keeping them apart.

Overall 4 stars

1st book = 4.5 stars
2nd book = 4 stars
3rd book = 3.5 stars

Minor spoilers:
First book was OMG. All the angst and ups and downs and good feels and bad feels. AWESOME.
The second book was good but less angst and I got frustrated alot in this one. I actually got frustrated with Andy more than Vanni for her choices.
The third bood was good but low angst and so much of it was wasting my time with the details of graham and maggie.

What I did like about all three books was that it gave the views of different people. Especially in the last book. It would give you Andy's thoughts and you could clearly see why she felt the way she did. Then you would see Maggies side of it and you could understand how she felt about Andy because she didn't have the full story or the inside thoughts and reasoning Andy and therefore her thoughts were unfair but just with the information that she had. This is what happens in real life. I really loved that about this book. What this did was make it very easy to see how people interpret things differently.
For example, Andy was trying to do the right thing but on the outside it appeared like she was being selfish or scared when the truth was she was doing the ethical thing as she saw it.

4.5 - really well written.
4.5 -heaps of angst.
4.5 - great character depth and growth.
4.5 - great storyline (drama drama drama).
3.0 - average sexy times.

What I didnt like was the in-depth side story of Graham and Maggie. I was reading a story of Andy and Vanni and yes Graham was a great almost MC, I just didnt want his end story in this with such detail. Should have been a novella and just side mentions in this story. I skipped the entire thing.

2⭐️. Ambos me parecieron detestables, egoístas, mentirosos y unos descarados. Muchas personas sufrieron por su culpa. Honestamente no me creo su final feliz, me parece evidente por la forma en que se construyeron sus personajes que tarde o temprano terminarías separados o muertos por su propia culpa.

Spoiler Free Review:
I don’t even know where to start with this book(s). My emotions are flying high upon finishing this 734 page trilogy. It took me a week to read it, and luckily my Kindle is still in one piece. It was so freaking frustrating at times I wanted to just stop reading. But I persevered, and I am very glad I did :) and I’ll try to explain why in this review.

Ginger Voight put together a story that takes place in a world most people never see. The rise to fame for a mega rock star – and what sacrifices must be made to get there. It is a dirty world – full of shallow, superficial people who will do anything to further their own agenda. Secrets, lies, blackmail, extortion, this world is brimming with all things dark. And this story is about two people and their struggle to be together throughout all this. If you have read the Thoughtless Trilogy, and think this may sound similar—I would like to tell you—IT. IS. NOT. It is so much darker.

The main characters are the reason it took me a week to finish this book, I just had to put it down because I would get so angry with them. Giovanni “Vanni” Carnevale is a “long-haired rocker with more swagger than substance.” He is a womanizer, sex addict, alcoholic, and to top it all off, an egomaniac. And he is our “hero.” Andy Foster falls for this deeply flawed “hero” so fast and so hard. I felt so bad for her (most of the time). Their love story takes place over four years of FRUSTRATING setbacks, literally one after the other. Hence wanting to throw my Kindle out the window. Unlike some other reviewers, I did understand why she fell in love with him. When they were together is was intensely romantic, and he treated her well. He was never insincere. Their chemistry was off the charts—and she was literally addicted to him. I get it. But when they were apart he was a total cheating, lying, indecisive asshat… However, as Andy states in book two:

“…we don’t love with our minds. We love with our hearts. And mine still very much belonged to the man sitting across from me…”

Sometimes as readers we forget that it’s okay for our characters to be flawed. It makes them more real. This is NOT a Cinderella story—there is no knight in shining armor. There is just a whole mess of emotionally messed up people with questionable priorities.

In the third book Vanni does finally redeem himself in my eyes. But it was a LONG time coming…
I STRONGLY suggest that if you read the first two books and want to quit—DON’T! The end of Book 3 “The Mogul” will make it all seem worth it. It’s just getting there that is rough.

This story is the type that is just so hard to explain, so I would like to end with a few quotes that explain how Andy feels about Vanni. It may make it easier to see why she kept going back to him.

“He tattooed himself into my flesh and onto my soul”

“I had never given my heart away before him, and I knew he had walked away with a substantial piece. I’d probably always go where it called.”

“Graham was a good man who offered me everything, but I only wanted Vanni—who couldn’t offer me anything at all.”

“His trying to Frankenstein the perfect women with a gaggle of girls who filled different needs only served to make me feel less than enough…”

“He wasn’t some rock god on the stage, he was a vulnerable, flawed man—and like most women find themselves doing in their life, I wanted to be his life raft.”

“Somehow it felt better knowing he could love me at arm’s length, as long as it meant he didn’t lose me completely.”

“You’ve had my heart from the very first moment we met.” ~Andy

Geez, talk about a book that makes you want to smack the ever living crap out of someone and you have Andy Foster. She is a bright young girl that has a good promising career as a journalist but she falls for the ultimate bad boy rocker Giovanni, front man for Dreaming in blue.

I’m all for falling for the bad boy but there is something about Vanni that I would have called it quits oh so long ago. Especially when you met Graham Baxter. He is the real deal and all around good guy. Graham has true feelings for Andy and never pushes her because he knows that she needs to get Vanni out of her system once and for all if there is ever a chance with him.

The trilogy takes you on an adventure over the next four years of their lives and oh what a trip is it. Sex drugs and rock n roll. That’s the life that Vanni wants and he does pretty much what he wants to get to the top no matter how badly he hurts the one true love for him, Andy. For whatever reason she is fine with being “the other woman” in his life but come on, enough is enough but she still holds on to the way he is when they are alone. All the long distance call, chats, text and emails has her feeling that in her heart Vanni is the one.

It takes Vanni awhile to figure it out himself. He goes thur a lot on self-searching himself to finally figure out that indeed Andy is the one person he just can’t live without. It was slow in some parts but still holds your interest that you just want to find out what happens. As bad as Vanni is with his loose ways with the women, you still get a sense that he deeply loves Andy but because of his past, he is afraid to take that leap of faith and commit to his one and only.

It took me a while to get through this book because it pissed me off a lot. That's when you know a book is good. You get so caught up in it you have to step away from it a minute. Vanni, I loved, but he was a bone head that couldn't get it together. Andy, well what can I say. Just a woman in love and couldn't see beyond that. Even with a loving, caring man (Graham) took a bullet for her.

3 way love triangles are usually not my cup of tea. Lately I have come across a few that are so much more than that, and this one of them. You will not be bored because it has lots of everything in it. Crazed groupies, deranged lovers, lost fathers and a look into a great love story that spans over 4 years. Loved it.

The writing was good...but....there we quite a few places that needed editing. Things like "has" where it should have been "as". The story of Andy and Vanni was a long one with lots of trouble from the start. In my opinion to much trouble. I tend to read books quickly. Especially books that grab my attention. My attention wasn't fully "grabbed" until book 3. There wasn't much that kept me in angst and made me feel that I needed to read in order to find out what the solution would be. However, I can see how the story would call to a lot of people especially because it is how life with a rock star would be. Definitely not the best story I have read but also not the worst.

Wow!!!! This series really blew me away. I absolutely loved Andy and most of the time I loved Vannie, however a couple of times I had to set down my kindle before I threw it hoping to somehow wake him up! I was so glad to have all three of these books in the series and didn't have to wait to see what happened next. It did take a little time to read and every time I had to stop I couldn't wait to get back to their story again. Just how many terrible things and bad timings can happen to one couple? I would recommend this to anyone who has ever fantasized about a rock star to READ THIS SERIES!!!!

There is nothing I can say about this book that hasn't been said with countless 'OMGs' and 'WTFs'. It is all of that, it is Crack Cocaine, it is insane and it keeps you hooked til its over...Thankfully I took all my hits in one addictive splurge and read the Complete Groupie Trilogy rather than drip feed this special brand of crazy madness into my brain slowly, book by book...

I CANNOT BELIEVE. I put myself through this aggravation AGAIN 🤣🤣🤣 Honestly these three books literally are some of the most addictive I’ve ever read. And ANNOYING! Hopefully it’ll be another 6 years before I attempt it again.

Wow, what a ride! These characters really make you want to smack the hell out of them at multiple points through this series. This is another one you just have to relax and let the story guide you where it is going. I did enjoy the ride and can appreciate having to work for your relationship and handling the outcome of your choices, but wow this one was intense.

Only complaint I have is the editing of the last book, not very well done and took you away from the story trying to figure out what was intended.

These series is crazy!!!! There is so much drama in these book I found myself mad at the characters in all three books yet I could not put them down. Andy is strong, likable and annoying at the same time! I wished I could slap her! I do love the fact that she is not your typical supermodel.
The was definitely a different story for most the rock star books I've read. Overall, I highly recommend this series but be ready for the roller coaster ride!

This book was an awesome roller coaster that had me all over the place emotionally! You want to hate the main characters but love them just as much. I cried, laughed, raged and sighed with relief. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a long drawn out love story with too many twists and turns to count!

WOW!!! What a crazy wild ride of a book!!! From drugs, sex, groupies and rock-n-roll to a perfect HEA for everyone. I recommend this trilogy to anyone who likes a good soap opera and true stereotypical rock stars. If you like angst, erotica and going from loving to hating to loving your characters, then this trilogy is for you!! I LOVED IT!!!

Now I like angsty cheating type stuff like the next chick but baby ain't no way she should have been so calm and friendly with his ass after finding out about the second chick. The first girl was kind of understandable but damn after you found out he was dating you AND the second girl. It would have been a wrap.

This was an good trilogy overall. Loved booked 1, book 2 was iffy as the indecisiveness of the main female character going between two men just drove me insane. Prefer a female lead that knows what she wants and sticks to it. Book 3 redeemed itself enough.
