I have read the whole uplifting brilliant series of Unicornia, and can’t wait to see if there will be a new book in the series. Every girl loves to dance, will fall in love with Unicornia The Dance Show. In Unicornia land anything is possible. In the Unicornia Academy of Magic, it’s Merry Music Day. Claudia and her friends Sara and Pippa are practicing a dance routine. It can be quite nerve racking dancing in front of the school and parents. Claudia and her friends make a magic potion to drink before going on stage, which doesn’t go right. Can Claudia get her confidence back without any magic potions to help her perform with her friends dancing on top of the rainbow stage? This whole set of Unicornia are absolutely beautiful with amazing adventures in the magical land of Unicornia.
Further sweet adventures in being brave in the magical Unicornia.
I've read a few of this series as my son's friends adore them at school and clamour for them (aged 8, girls, definitely the target market). I would probably have enjoyed them at the same age, but as an adult they do feel twee.
I hadn't realised until this volume that the books are translated, which helps me understand why the language sounds a little 'off' in my ear at times. Nothing that puts you off, but some phrases seem non-native in their construction.
To the book though. There are less magical aspects than in previous episodes, there's only a few mentions of all the magical elements of Unicornia that readers have come to love. It's much more about Claudia and her friends preparing for a dance show, feeling underprepared and lacking practice. With lessons in.... well, needing more practice! And also working together.
Everyone in Unicornia is so gosh-darned nice. Supportive. Helpful. It is definitely a fantasy wonderland of pink fluffy loveliness that readers can melt into and escape.
Sweet lesson in working hard to achieve something and working in a team and helping each other.
For ages 6-9.
With thanks to the publisher for providing a sample reading copy.
Even the unicorns are ready to show off their moves in this twinkle-toed adventure sure to enchant little dancers who can’t get enough of a certain magical creature.
The Unicornia talent show is almost here! At the last minute, Claudia and her friends Sara and Pippa have decided to create their own special dance routine. The stage is designed as a big sparkling rainbow with singing flowers and cotton-candy clouds. Can the friends get their steps in sync to perform for the school and their parents in time for the big day? Welcome to magical potions, glittery hiccups, and unexpected friendship in this fourth Unicornia adventure.
It is time to Dance Dance Dance! With a dose of magic of course!
I was delighted to find another Unicornia book at one of my library, I had fun with the first one (despite some weird things that happened) and I was eager to read this one!
This was fun, didn't like one big element, but thankfully it got resolved in the end.
Review to come at the end of February (but may be moved to March).
a fun story about Claudia and her friends taking part in a school dance show. there is magical elements in this fun world. But it mainly about working together and practising. its fun and cute.
I have been reading Children's books to better recommend them when working at my library.
I read this with my 6 year old daughter and she loved it. I could think of other literature I'd rather read. This doesn't translate for adult enjoyment very well.
