5 Trust mind, body, and soul. stars

Protected and Cherished. Evie sets out on a mission, under the ever watchful eyes of her Guardians, to heal as many infected women as she can. Her blood is the cure and curse, forcing her to carry the burden of the future of mankind.

Her fate has been written in stone. Her path clear of what she must do... love the men who guard her mind, body and soul, all the while serving the higher purpose. Trusting in love to lead the way.
My mind, my body, and my soul. Three parts made whole. We were on

PC: Pam Godwin

Roark was the adorable glue that held them all together. He had their relationship figured out long before the rest and had so much love to give.
Roark, He was a torment and a refuge. A tempter and a protector. A solid, defined boundary between right and wrong.

PC: Pam Godwin

Michio was the ever curious doctor charged with research and their care. His love for Evie and his persistent need for knowledge lead him down a path of destruction, but his trust in his love for Evie may be his only salvation.
My doctor, guardian of body. Our trust in each other was the anchor for our plan.

PC: Pam Godwin

Jesse is the ever-loyal stalker, the spirit guide who leads them through the path fate has paved. Fighting an internal battle, he is tormented with visions of Evie's fate, but his love for Evie tests his undeniable power of control.
He filled my heart, my thoughts...The guardian of my mind...I would love him for as long as love existed. A lifetime. An eternity. I would love him longer than that.

PC: Pam Godwin

Blood of Eve was such an emotional action packed roller coaster ride. It is so much more than meets the eye, so do your self a favor and go in blind, jump into Dead of Eve and feel for yourself the difference. Others have cast this book off as a genre not for them, and they are right it's not a one size fits all love affair. But what I promise you is that, if you are open to experience an all encompassing love you will be taken away by the power of it all. Just take it as it comes and leave all judgment behind.

Pam Godwin is amazing, she is truly gifted in spinning an intricate tale that pulls you in and invites you to live among her characters; getting to know their deepest, darkest, depraved thoughts. Eve, Jesse, Roark and Michio are all real in my eyes, for a relationship that might be overly complex, they made it work as if it was always meant to be. There is no Eve without her three Guardians, and them without her. They defined and brought out the best in each other, and filled the whole they all were missing. It wasn't sunshine and rainbows, but the way they each grew to love and accept one another was a simply beautiful.

Full of action, heat, laughter and thrills; it is a non stop page turner keeping you on the edge of your seat. I'm so glad I waited for the final installment before I read this story, the ending was truly bitter sweet. I for one am not one to cry, but at the end I assure you there were equal tears of sadness and happiness. I highly enjoyed this so much more than the first, maybe because this was the settling after the first storm, finding a balance between it all. I found nothing lacking in this book, and that is the beauty of letting the story unfold right in front of your eyes. I highly recommend this read, especially if you think it's not the story for you.

Blood of Eve is the continuation of Eve’s journey and survival living in a post-apocalyptic world. I don’t usually read these types of stories, but when Pam told me about the series she said there is romance and since I love Pam Godwin’s stories I figured why the hell not. I read Dead of Eve and immediately I was dying for more. That says a lot because these aren't little stories, but I was so completely involved in the story I didn’t even see it ending until it did. Now I have finished Blood of Eve and I have the same feelings, I just need more answers.

Eve is this rockstar character, she isn’t like most heroines, she is strong willed, determined and a fighter. As we learned in Dead of Eve her blood holds the cure for the nymphs. She is also developing special skills to help fight the aphids. In world dominated by men, aphids, nymphs her blood is vital to the survival of humanity. Eve isn’t afraid of what will happen to her or where her life will go, her primary focus is on saving others, she is completely selfless.

"You’re so exquisite and fierce. Raw perfection."

Eve has three guardians who help protect her and facilitate her living out her destiny.

"I’d chosen three men, the three I trusted with my life, but maybe I hadn’t made that clear. 'My body and my heart belong to my guardians.'”

Jesse is one the Lakota she first met when traveling across the United States, we later learn he was high level military and trained to survive, to go in unseen and leave the victor. Jesse, this guy just owns my heart. I love all The Guardians, but his fierce protectiveness and selflessness won me over. I love that he was able to connect with Eve on a whole other level since he could see her destiny. Annie brought him to Eve and I have just always felt this huge connection there.

Roark is an Irish priest she met in the middle of her journey. He helps rescues her and becomes one of the first men she can trust outside of the Lakota tribe. Roark is sweet, funny and seriously just perfect. I love the humor and lightness he adds to the story, but he also adds a lot of depth with his emotions and desire to love and please Eve.

Michio is a doctor and knows the most about the virus. I love that he choose Evie and fought for her when it meant his life. He like her other Guardians is selfless and will do anything to protect Eve. These men's lives revolve around Eve and not just for what she can do for them, but because of their unconditional love.

For all my fellow romance readers, I have to tell you, Pam was right there is a TON of love and romance in this series. The love is unending, unconditional and unwavering. I don’t just mean the love between Eve and her Guardians, I am referring to the love all four of these people share. I love this story so hard and believe me my love was completely unexpected, because this isn't my typical read. But love is love to me and I absolutely felt the love and heart while reading this story.

"Don’t you know? You are my everything. My anguish. My heaven. There is nothing but you."

I finished this story days ago and I am still thinking about the characters, moments and scenes. I am still smiling at parts and crying at others. I feel like I know these characters and my heart breaks with them. When they are at risk my anxiety raises. I feel what they feel. While this book is almost or about 600 pages when I finished I just wished it was longer. I can’t wait to see what comes next in Dawn of Eve!

"Peace didn’t come without tragedy, and love didn't bloom without pain."

Peace didn't come without tragedy, and love didn't bloom without pain.

Holy. Shit!!! This was such an intense read.

So many thoughts. So many reactions. I've literally been trying to work on this for days. I'm all over the place. Sorry for my scrambled review.
Where to begin?

Since this was a continuation to Dead of Eve, it picked up after the events of book 1. Reading the first book is a must.

Small recap
A virus is released in which bitten men have been turned into aphids (bug-like creatures) that feed off the living. No children survived, and all but one woman has succumb to these changes. Evie. Following the ghosts of her children, she travels parts of the world to try to get answers about what happened. During her journey, she comes across 3 men who will now be her guardians. They are going to protect this last female on earth who holds the cure.

What this book was all about
Once the theory that Eves blood may be able to change the "nymphs" (women not turned into aphids, yet not human either) back to their human form has been proven, the four set out to find more of these "women" to cure. This can be the return of mankind.

One major conflict, is due to a vision or prophecy, of what the future holds for Eve's fate. Although precautions are made, she cannot escape destiny.

Along the way something huge is revealed about one of Eve's guardians that will change everything.

On this journey the bond Eve has with her guardians is unmistakable.

Forgive the vagueness. There is so many details and things that happened, that it's impossible for me to think straight.

My reactions
There are not many books that I have run across that encompass so many things.

This was an edge of your seat read, and I love those. So many exciting things took place.

Eve is the epitome of badass heroine. She not only kicks ass, but has a personality that you can't help but adore.

One of the guardians, Roark (the priest), gave good comic relief. The things that came out of his mouth were hilarious, especially with the Irish accent.

I definitely felt the love with all four characters.

My favorite quotes from each guy:

Jesse- "Don't you know? You are my everything. My anguish. My heaven. There is nothing but you."

Roark- "I've died a million deaths since I met ye, but all it takes is your kiss to remind me why I'm still breathing."

Michio- "I'm not jealous, but I'm still a man. A man who is madly in love with a woman who shares her heart and body with two others."

The steam factor was pretty hot. Just so you know, there were some m/m/f/m situations.

And last, some tears were shed. Even though I knew something would take place I was in denial and was hoping the circumstances would have been different.

A couple of tips to consider
Two major regrets I had while reading this. The first one being that I read book one about a year ago. Although the basics of the story were remembered, some details were forgotten and I felt slightly lost. I'd read these closer together if at all possible. I was able to still get the gist of most things, so it wasn't a big miss.

Secondly, make sure you have the time to commit. I knew it was 600 pages, but it still took me 20 hrs total to read. This is not a bad thing, but when you are strapped for time, and each and every chapter makes you want to keep going, it sucks that you can't devour it as much as you'd like.

In conclusion
I hate to keep reiterating the fact that this is not my typical genre (not in this review, but others). I don't do paranormal, and rarely read scifi. The reason I bring this up, is because, if I loved this so much, maybe others will be willing to give this a try and hopefully fall for it too.

Pam Godwin is an amazing storyteller and writer.
If your not opposed to a little science fiction, I'd highly recommend!
Hopefully the wait for the final book will not slowly kill me.

I have no clue how to classify this series as it’s in a league all it’s own.
Dystopian, post-apocalyptic, some romance, Kinda reverse-harem but it is so far advanced from the usual ones I’ve read previously and it is very slow burn and takes the time to build the bond for all involved here.
Some horror, plenty of action and a whole lot of love and connection.

This is an epic unpredictable journey one that doesn’t pull it’s punches and will probably rip your heart clean out of your chest and then stamp all over it.
It was so bloody intense and the curing of the nymphs is actually the easy part here as things elsewhere slowly start to unravel.
Events start to seriously snowball and this one is gonna get worse before it gets better.

There’s Michio unknown evolution and the Drone’s intentions regarding Evie resulting in Michio taking drastic solo action with potentially far-reaching consequences for all.
There is just so much going on here and this second book was even better than it’s predecessor if that’s even possible.

This was also incredibly emotive and beautifully filthy as Evie finally gets to consummate her bond with Jessie and Rourke finally lets go of his guilt and takes things to the next level.

My god those scenes were red hot and the chemistry major explosive.
I also really appreciated how Rourke, Jessie and Michio were all so very different each with their own unique personalities and little quirks.

The way this manages to build the tension progressing slowly and eventually culminating in such a deep and lasting bond.
I also adored all the character dynamics here and especially loved Jessie and Rourke’s bond together.

So this took me through a whole gauntlet of emotions running through the complete spectrum of light to dark.
It was truly unpredictable and my heart was in my mouth throughout.
This one keeps you on the edge of your seat poised for the fallout.

The priest is still my all-time favourite he’s bloody hilarious and has absolutely no filter and his accent and unique turns of phrase are the absolute bomb.
His running commentary managed to pull things back from the brink and inject some much-needed light-heartedness into the mix especially when things go sideways and get so darkish and bleak.

Then that finale my god I am broken this book digs deep and claws forth the emotion I had tears running down my face by the finish of this.
What an ending, think I’m gonna need a wee break before I jump into the final book that and some bravery I’m literally scared where this might venture next.
I need to get my head back on straight after running that gauntlet.
What a journey I’m literally destroyed and a bloody mess even a day later.
Brilliant but oh so heart wrenching and bring the tissues you're gonna need them.

Yup. I did it.

I will not forgive this.

Why did no one say this book ends with the main character's death?

WHAT THE FUCK?!

Yes, I am that bitch who is telling you.

You can thank me later.

Eve FUCKING DIES.

She doesn't usurp the prophesy. Her men all fail her. She dies.

Cannot be read as a standalone

Blood of Eve is just as suspenseful and dark as Dead of Eve. But one major difference in this story is the steaminess. It gets extremely hot.

Three amazing men. One woman. Oh... my...

I can't even pick a favorite. Each guardian is different and essential to Eve's life as she fights against the person responsible for creating the deadly virus.

I couldn't put this book down. The action kept me glued to my Kindle, and the ending made my my eyes water. I really enjoyed this series, and I can't wait to read the next book!

5 "leaps of faith and hard falls" Stars

Two years after the aphid outbreak Eve and her Guardians are on the search to save nymphs. All while avoiding the most dangerous of predators, man. New powers are discovered and prophecies are fulfilled.

Blood of Eve rivals The Walking Dead in my opinion. This is my second scifi/post apocalyptic book, the first being Dead of Eve. I liked this one even better, it's jam packed with action, great comic relief and it's also more erotic than DoE. Pam Godwin writes bad ass heroines and Eve may be the best one yet!

"I would confront my competition like I confronted everything else. Armed with possessiveness and high-carbon steel."

"I wanted to have sex with them for the carnal pleasure, the intimacy, and the possession. Because I loved them, greedy sinner that I was."

BLOOD OF EVE by Pam Godwin
A BLOODY APOCALYPSE PAST GENTLE
The Story Continues...
Evie, Jesse, Rourk, and Micho

I just finished... like an hour ago... the hubs walked in on me bauling my eyes out! I couldn't form any coherent words to tell him why I was weeping or how this book changed my life! I just sat there, smoke in hand, cocktail at the ready, tear streaming down my face and sighed. Pam, you have outdone yourself. Your writing, your imagination, and your characters are exquisite. I love you for putting this story down on paper!

Evie is my hero in every way, shape, and form. I will compare every main female character to her from this point forward. I'm quite certain only a few will match up. This woman saw death, decay, and hopelessness and faced it head on. She never gives up, she never wavers, and she always protects what's rightfully hers... Jesse, Rourk, and Micho. Surviving the virus that engulfed the Earth, fighting aphids, dodging the Drone, and looking for nymphs has become her daily creed. She makes even the most dangerous of the badasses look like a freakin' child. I will love her till my dying day.

Jesse is a man of few words. He endures so much pain and hardship yet barely shows his feelings and never complains. Although he may not tell you what he's thinking, you'll know by the look on his face that you're better off leaving him the fuck alone. To me he was always Evie's main protector. His love for her never faltered. He dealt with many obstacles and barriers when it came to her, but his love is true and his love is one of a kind.

Rourk "Father Mahony" cracked my right the fuck up! How Pam came up with all his dialogue I'll never know. Amidst his humor lies a man who would lay down his life for the love of Evie. He's not your traditional priest. He's a post apocalyptic priest. One with more questions than answers, but with the love a good woman, a strong adherent, and his sword I have no doubt he'll find what he's been searching for.

God, how do I talk about Micho? I love this man with my entire being. He scared the ever-loving shit outta me. His puzzling persona drove me over the edge multiple times. He's emotional, he's large and in charge, and he's a fierce protector of Evie and her heart. I can't say that I always liked him, but in the end, I fell head of heels in love with this mysterious man. He fights an invisible demon within himself that seems to be killing him from the inside out. Although he started out ghastly, he won me over and I will pine for him the rest of my days.

The supporting character cast is vast in this story and I'm positive it will get larger before it's all over. One honorable mentioned would be Shea. She's a my kinda girl. Evie and her seem to be two peas in pod and I'm hopeful I'll see more of her in the last installment, Dawn of Eve, coming sometime in 2016. Another honorable mentioned would be Link. This guy, to be honest, is a tad bit fucked up. He should come with a disclaimer... "Lives by the motto, Destroy what destroys you" He's a natural born killer and he's a man of many skills. The list could go on and on, but I'll stop there or I fear I'll run outta clever things to say!! lol!

To wrap this up... in a nutshell... I could not put this down. Sure there were the occasional stints of work, family, and bullshit, but for the most part, I kept a diligent pace till I uttered the last words. The characters drew me back into one of the most invigorating stories I've ever encountered in my life. The dialogue flowed nicely and everything within these pages made me feel like I was there. Down to the description of the landscape, I could feel it, I could smell it, and I lived it! Every page, every chapter was gripping and spellbinding. It lead me to a climax that I most certainly will never forget and am still reliving it as I type this sentence. I love you Pam Godwin and your fucked up mind!

Feck me. I don't usually start a review this way, but this book.

My bones were chilled, I'm on fire, I'm completely consumed with all things Evie.

Say you read dystopian. Say you read romance. Say you read sci-fiction.
This story is going to open you up and spit you out. If you love out-of-box, then this a must. I was slayed. EVERY waking moment was reading this book. Albeit long, but it packed a knife to your throat. Well thought out and engaging. I don't have much experience with this topic. Let me tell you, I watch it. I watch this type of scenario. Watching has nothing compared to the gift Pam Godwin gives. The words are built with integrity. I've said this once and I'll say it again. You don't know the talent of this author until you've read this series. I'm choked up. There's no amount of justice I can give to the feelings I felt within these pages.

Throw out assumptions and read this beautiful, deadly, soul reaching series.

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for The Reading Room Blog.

DAMN IT. DAMN IT. DAMN IT.

Sigh.

Who knew a Dystopian paranormal erotica romance drama could enthrall me, emotionally gut me, and leave me begging for more? Did Blood of Eve (Book 2) go where I wanted it to go - No. Did Blood of Eve go where it was destined to go - ABSOLUTELY. There's not much I can share about Blood of Eve without spoiling it so let me just say author Pam Godwin wrote a 5 star story that kept me in a mixed state of excitement, hope, and fear. Blood of Eve was spot on. Just be prepared to need a box of tissues and a stiff drink... or three.

Blood of Eve was written as a follow-up to Dead of Eve and should not be read as a standalone. The conclusion to the trilogy, Dawn of Eve (Book 3), is planned for release in 2016. I'll just be rocking in the corner patiently waiting.

Favorite Quotes:

"My heart belongs to my guardians. There will be no others for me."

"Don't you know? You're my everything. My anguish. My heaven. There is nothing but you."

"Fuck. I stood on the corner of Gravelly Brogue Street and Burning Glare Boulevard. It was a dangerous place for a woman to venture, alone and unarmed. Yet I'd never felt safer or more excited."

Happy reading.

I can't quite put my finger on what about this book didn't work for me. I was really looking forward to it. I found the first book a nice mix of horror, sci fi, dystopia, and romance.

Book 2 focused a lot on fate, premonitions, and relationships. A large part of the beginning was a ton of lusty filled angst. Instead of a love triangle we've got a love square which is a whole lotta dude. The middle part of the book was dominated by hard core erotica. It was dir-tay. Like really dirty. I didn't mind but some of the scenes made me blush. I think it was the end that turned me off the most. The book took a religious turn and for me- it just didn't work. I'm probably in the minority with this one.

Overall Blood of Eve was heavy on the intensity. The characters loved, screwed, and fought hard. It was gritty, bloody, violent, and dark. The book had a pretty breakneck speed and was a nice length. I think it could have easily been two books. It seems like the author is setting this book up for a spinoff series and if so I'll definitely check it out.

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

First off, I would like to say that Pam Godwin is an author of the highest caliber. She doesn’t do a slap dash job of creating a book. Her work is carefully edited and the stories flow smoothly. This is the 5th book that I have read by Pam and all of them have been awesome.

A combination of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 28 Days Later and The Walking Dead, Blood of Eve is the continuation from Dead of Eve in the Trilogy of Eve series. This story is not for the faint of heart or prudes.

In the first book, Dead of Eve, Evie Delina is left alone in the world after a strange virus decimates the world’s population turning 90% of the population into mutants and killing the young and elderly. Through a quirk in her genetics Evie survives. She sets out on her own facing many horrors including human men. Her travels and travails take her to the other side of the world and back again. She eventually ends up becoming loved and protected by a dog and three heroes.

In this second book Evie and her three guardians, Dr. Michio Nealy, Jesse Beckett and Fr. Roark Molony continue to search for a cure to the virus. Their travels take them across America this time still fighting the aphid mutants, marauding men and wild animals. Friends are lost and new ones found. As Evie develops more powers more nymphs are discovered as well as a few good men. The love between Evie and her men grows and strengthens into an unbreakable bond that even death would not break. The last 18% of this book has a LOT of sex in it. Some of the scenes are laugh-out-loud funny, mostly due to Father Malony.

“If one of ye touches her without her permission, I’ll kick in your stinkers bridge until ye can’t tell your cunt from your arsehole.” He held out his hand. “Hi. I’m Father Malony.”
Nice one, Roark. Nothing said priest like kicking in a man’s taint.

Even though this trilogy is a series, you won’t get hung up on a cliffy after 68 pages. This book in itself is over 600 pages and stops at a good point.

I fucking survived the fall of civilization, the mutations, the anarchy, and the monsters who started it all. Deep breath. I could do this.

This book! This book was everything.

Two years after a crazed religious zealot unleashed a devastating virus on the world, turning men into aphids, women into nymphs and killing of its children, Eve along with her three guardians continue their quest to save humanity. With the creatures evolving and a dark prophecy looming Eve must use her blood to help cure the world’s women while facing danger at every turn.

Eve is the strongest, fiercest, most beautiful inside and out, loyal, and sexual character I have EVER read. I loved everything about her - her strength during adversity, her perseverance after loss, her unabashed sexuality and her unwavering devotion. All combined it her made her magnetic, pulling me into the story and holding on until the very last page.

Love softened the heart when it needed to be weak and hardened it when it needed to be strong.

Jesse, the Lakota, a spirit walker and the proctor of Eve's mind. Always watching and always on guard protecting. I was thrilled to see so much more of Jesse in this book compared to book one. We really get to know him, his thoughts and feelings. While he still remains very self-controlled, when he does open up to not only Eve but also the other guardians, it is beautiful and perfect.

Roark, the Priest and protector of Eve's soul. With his sexy Irish brogue, entertaining one-liners and pure heart he is my favorite of the group. A man who has never lost his faith, open and loving, he provides not only levity but also great insight and a spiritualness into what is happening.

Michio, the doctor and protector of Eve's body. Dominant and strong, his is unwavering in his dedication to safeguarding Eve at any cost - even if it means sacrifices must be made. Michio goes through a lot in this book and even at the hardest, most perilous moments, even when he must do things that go against his character, Michio's love for Eve never falters and that is what I loved most about him.

The relationship between Eve and her guardians is nothing short of beautiful. I tend to shy away from books with multiple love interests because in my mind there can only be one but that wasn’t the case here. The love was balanced, each man giving Eve what she needed and desired and getting it back in return. Not only did they each love Eve but they loved each other with so much trust, respect and passion that it worked.

The future I wanted ... God, I didn't have a word for it. But it looked like my guardians, smelled like them, felt like them. The future was theirs. That was what I wanted.

This story takes you on an extraordinary journey of survival, heartbreak, love, and edge of your seat thrills. Between the spectacular writing, the amazing sex - God, the sex was even more than I could ever imagine in my wildest fantasies - and a unique plot layered with so much depth and emotion you wont be able to put this book down. You will be thinking about Eve and her guardians long after the last page.

OMG. If you, like me, found yourself thinking book one was just okay, my advice is to see it through. This book made me feel two things - tears and arousal. If I wasn't crying I was turned on. This is the most erotic book Godwin has written imo. And I've read them all.

Evie and her guardians have found the key to saving the women. But they're also doing everything they can to spare Evie from the prophecy. Especially Jesse. The sexual tension is thick in the beginning and evil Ms. Godwin makes you suffer for many chapters. But when she finally gives it to us...ho boy does she ever.

But she also makes us feel the love and the unbreakable bond between the three men and one woman. It works for them. It makes sense. You can feel the loss when one of them is missing but at the same time you're glad the three remaining have each other.

That ending was devastating. I can't imagine what the final book will entail without this character. But I'll be reading. Well done.

Oh my goodness, this was the longest, most detailed, and enthralling book ever! I blanched when I saw the length of this book, convinced there was no way I could get through it...but here I am, even if it's slower than I hoped, finished with the second book in the series.

I'm a blubbering mess.

How this book ended...I knew it was coming, but I was convinced Jesse, Michio, and Roark would come through....all I ended up with was blurry vision as Dawn emerged.

It was the single most agonizing sunrise I'd ever experienced...and here I go, right into book three because I have hope that everything that has happened thus far is for a reason. A reason I will finally be privy to learning. I can't wait!

In the meantime, I loved this second installment and the bonds solidified in this story give me hope for what's to come.

Oh my, what an ending! I have chills and tears! My heart is wrenched! This book is... WOW. I've never read anything like this. The imagination that went into writing this story is beyond me. When I say this is original, I mean I have never even come close to reading a story like this. Blood of Eve is compelling, enthralling, captivating. The love shared between Eve and her Guardians is something worth reading. The sensuality, sexiness, and excitement in this book isn't something you want to miss! I can't wait to read Dawn of Eve!

This book was even better than book one in the series. I have a major girl crush on Evie. She is an absolute badass heroine. While the guys are all so different but united in their love for Evie. Book one more focused on world building and introducing all of the characters. While this book just hits you with the emotions and major steam between Evie and her guardians. The ending will hit you in the feels but fit the book so well, I couldn't have seen it ending any other way.

I cannot say enough how even if you aren't a fan of RH or dystopia to read this series. I will convert you, the emotionality and character arcs throughout the series was fantastic. Even in this trippy dystopian world full of monsters the characters are relatable and have just the right amount of humor to balance everything out.

Pam is one of those rare authors that can write in any trope and just smash it every time. I have not read a book of hers that I didn't absolutely adore.

One woman, Three men, and an adorable Dog! Together they will survive an apocalypse and find the deepest love!

Pam Godwin is an amazing writer, who draws you in to her stories with evocative prose that reaches right inside of you, latches on deep, and pulls you toward an adventure you weren’t expecting. Her characters are so incredibly real they become a part of your family. You’ll find yourself cheering with them, crying with them, and loving them long after the last page has been read.

At the end of Dead of Eve, Evie and her three guardians (Roark, Michio, and Jesse) are two years into the apocalypse, which killed all the children and elderly and nearly all the women. The women who didn’t die have been turned into nymphs who continue to spread the horribly mutating virus turning men into aphid monsters. But, Evie is returning with a cure for the nymphs, and this story follows her, her three guardians, and the most adorable and loyal German shepherd, Darwin, on their crusade to save humanity.

Evie and her lovable men learn more about one another along the way, are drawn together and pulled apart. The fight is very real, gritty, and not for the faint of heart. You climb one emotional hill on the rollercoaster that is Pam Godwin writing, only to find yourself hurtled down a very steep drop. Once you catch your breath the next turn in the story has you gasping and wondering what could possibly happen next.

This is a story of survival, of love, and faith for a better future. It can be read as a standalone, as it does not end in a cliffhanger and gives you the backstory you need to understand the stakes faced by Evie on her adventure from the previous book. But, I would recommend the first book…because Evie’s men are that hot, and Darwin is, as I mentioned, my most favorite loyal pup.

I highly recommend this story. The journey is extraordinary. The plot richly crafted. The protagonist is a very strong female lead, but gentle, caring, and fragile at times. The men…oh my! The men are HOT!, and this is an erotic read.

Get your one-click fingers clicking…and don’t miss out on Pam Godwin’s epic addition to the Trilogy of Eve!

After reading Blood of Eve it is impossible for me describe the way I am feeling. With a flurry of mixed emotions sitting at the pit of my stomach, 660 pages went by too fast and all I want is more. If you’re a Godwin fan, you know she has an uncanny ability to mix all dangerous and guilty pleasures, turning them into an exhilarating and heart stopping story, like no other. And Blood of Eve solidifies this notion.

As book one Dead of Eve introduces readers to the last woman on earth, who is destined to cure the human race from extinction, Blood of Eve shows off a heroine like no other. Oozing power, strength and sex, Godwin has created a character that glorifies woman and celebrates their significance, their choices and their meaning in the world.

Readers follow Eve and her three guardians as their path to survival becomes more real and the possibilities of death are inescapable. Readers will be on the edge of their seat as each page takes us one step closer to the inevitable. Filled with worry about Eve’s safety and challenged by their all consuming passion and love – will Eve’s three guardians be able to save the world and save Eve?

Blood of Eve shows readers how talented Godwin really is. Combining multiple genres in the one book, seamlessly entwining love, passion and sensuality into a story with fear, brutality and gore; this series will appeal to romance, erotica, paranormal and dystopian readers far and wide.

With moments that will leave you breathless, moments that will have you in fear and moments that will break your heart, Blood of Eve is a book that will stay with me forever. I am anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this EPIC trilogy, for just another way that Pam Godwin can show off her enthralling imagination and her perfect execution.

*~*5 HELLACIOUS STARS!*~*

Masterful.
Electrifying.
Impeccable.
Spine Chilling.
Carnal!

The author's meticulous writing style puts you in the book. You're no longer the reader, you're an insider looking out. You feel every ounce of the character's emotions and can almost taste the action, that's what makes this series so enthralling.

I won't give you a plot outline but if you haven't read Dead of Eve, then stop what you're doing and go buy the damn book! Book two picks up with Eve and her guardians and it does not disappoint!

Warning: If you're squeamish, get scared easily, prudish, turned off by alpha males, don't like crying ugly tears, or disgusted by ménages, then this book is NOT for you. However, if you love suspense, unique plots, unforgettable characters, sexy will-die-for-you men, a kickass heroine, and tantalizing sex, then you're in luck!

ARC was provided by the author in exchange for sex...oops, I meant an honest review *wink*

Blood of Eve (Trilogy of Eve #2)
By: Pam Godwin
5/5 stars

At the end of the first book, Eve, her three guardians, Roark, Michio & Lakota aka Jesse and the 2 guardsmen, Georges & Tallis, all return to the Blue Ridge Mountains to the other 3 Lakota. They are 2 years into the apocalypse, with the virus that turns men into aphid monsters, turns women into nymphs and has killed all the children. But they are also returning with answers & possibly a solution to the problem, an antidote to the virus, Evie’s blood.

In all of the testing and with some experimentation, they have learned that Evie’s blood causes the aphids to explode, but is able to cure the nymphs, bringing them back to human life. After a brief resting period, the group sets out searching for nymphs to heal. They traverse much of the United States looking for nymphs, because women are needed to start repopulating. And Evie is still refusing to have any more children. It is necessary to heal as many nymphs as possible. But they face more challenges than just the aphids, running out of ammo and keeping safe from other, probably dangerous survivors and surviving the wilds themselves. The aphids are no longer just mindless monsters, they are evolving.

They all learn more about each other during this time. Finally, we know why Jesse won’t allow himself to be physically involved with Evie and his visions. Jesse desperately wishes to have a deeper relationship with Evie, but holds back. Michio is also hiding secrets, some that are about him and some that are about Evie. Michio is still the slightly jealous and possessive man in love with Evie. Roark is still deeply loyal, protective and in love with Evie. Roark is still laid back and easy going about sharing Evie with the other guardians. His views on his priesthood celibacy are evolving, and it is so HOT! All of the sexual encounters are off the charts!

There are twists and turns, and plot lines that make you just wonder WTF is going on?! This entire book is just as well mapped-out and planned as the first book. I’m in awe of how Pam Godwin’s mind worked this entire storyline out. The amount of time that she must have spent researching and then making sure everything worked out damn near perfectly, had to have been in the hundreds range. But Pam delivers with this novel in a HUGE way!!

There were definite sad parts, heart stopping points, funny & sarcastically funny conversations, but most of all, there is hope. There is hope for the future, for humankind and for the group. It may have been a bittersweet ending, but I was filled with so much hope and love. I’m excited for the final book. I know Pam has a couple other books in the works before finishing up this series, but I have no doubt that it’ll be worth the wait and every bit as epic as the first 2 books.

Since I'm lazy, I'm going to write the review for book one and two together, and later I'll do book three because that one is different from the first two.
I didn't know anything about the story as I got these books, just that they were a trilogy written by Pam Godwin, I loved her book Dark Notes and that was enough for me to try other books by her. But I've come to the sad conclusion that Dark Notes was her best work (of what I read at least).

Anyway, that being said, these books are fun, I don't even know how to classify these, apocalyptic, erotic, drama, zombie, adventure, comedie, there is pretty much every gender possible. Some will like it, some will not. Some will cringe on the very graphic violence scenes, some will say that the sex scenes with three way, four way, or gay stuff are not their cup of tea. I pretty much liked everything. While I was reading I imagined how this would be a great HBO series True Blood style.

So, why didn't I give a five star? To me there is a huge problem with these books. About the villain and the heroes. Let me say first that I'm a brazilian agnostic so I have no religion or political affiliation, but to me these books seem to have.

The big bad guy is muslin, wants to conquer the world and to guet that he release a virus that kills billions of people, the ones left are few humans or aphids (humans that were turn to insects controlled by the bad guy).
So, the four heroes of the book are: the only surviving woman (I think she is an agnostic or an atheist, don't remember), a catholic priest from northern Ireland, a native american that turns out to be a CIA agent, and a japanese doctor (he has some budist beliefs). See my problem here?

The "good religions" are represented by the good guys (Christians, Budists and even non believers), and the "good places" of the planet: North America, Europe and Japan are also represented. Of course there is nobody from Africa or South America (We're never mentioned).

Actually me and my friends used to joke here in Brazil, when apocalyptic movies were a thing back in the 90's, because the aliens, or comets or whatever never attack South America, we always assumed we were alive and well.

Anyway, back to the books: I don't like this. I don't know if the author had an agenda or if this is just so indoctrinated her mind that the villain is always muslin, it's sad, because, these books are good.

I just kept thinking about that cartoon 'Pinky and the Brain' I used to watch, the Brain wants to conquer the world just because. These books are just for fun, wouldn't it be so much better to have a villain like the Brain? With no political agenda. No nothing, just crazy enough to want the world to himself.

I believe that in the world we live today, a writer should think about before write a muslin villain, because not everyone will read it the way it supposed to be read, I mean hate escalates quickly. Just makes me feel bad, because it had potential.

Evie now has a purpose. A task that only she can do along with the help of her three guardians. Using her blood as the cure, they’ll set out on a journey to find the nymphs, the half-turned females that have survived, back into human form in hopes that they can begin to re-populate the country. But it isn’t going to be easy. Not only are they still fighting the aphids along with their maker (the egotistical zealot), but she’s also battling her guardians. As their love has grown and intensified with each step they take, their jealousy (for lack of a better word) has grown into a big brick wall separating them.

Evie has really come into her own in this story. She’s recognized her position in this war, and is accepting of it. And I just gotta say that I love the men around her. I love how they all provide something different for her, and how they live to fight alongside her. Because truly, she’s the strongest one, and they love that. Can I say, YAAAS QUEEN?? And there’s still so much to do. It’s daunting, thinking about her situation. How much she has to actually do to save the world, and how strong she is for taking on that uphill battle. I won’t say much more because it hasn’t been easy to not give anything away in what I’m writing here. I will say that I really loved getting outside of Evie’s head a little bit as the first book focused all in her POV. The erotic nature kicked up a notch, too, which was great. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing what happens next, and where Ms. Godwin can take Evie and this new world.

This was just as good, if not a little better than the first book. Evie was still a kick-ass. I didn't care for Jesse in book 1, but I definitely connected with him in this book. Roarke was goofy and lovable as usual. I found myself disconnected from Micchio this time around, but by the very end, I had warmed back up to him. Holy moly...the sexy times were SUPER sexy between the four of them (especially the m/m and m/m/m scenes!)
I was NOT expecting what happened at the end to actually happen; I thought for sure that there had to be some sort of loophole. After it was clear there was no loophole or last minute miracle, I just kind of sat there for a moment in shock. How perfect though, that the A's were there. Knowing there's a third book, I was a little baffled, until I read the excerpt for book 3. I'm very interested to read the Guardians viewpoints.

Can I just say Eve is one of the most strongest female leads I have ever read!
Love, passion, fight and fear all blended throughout this book and kept me flipping the pages.
Eve's guardians, can I just say wow! I need me some men like that. The devotion, the love, the fight they each have for Eve. Just amazing.
With breeds of life trying to kill them, the drone's unknown liveliness, will they survive?
Ahh I just loved this book. I need more!
