A raw food fanatic and a cupcake baker—can two hearts rise above the flour?
Healthy, vegan food is Micah Truveen's religion. So when his devoted customers start showing up with white flour cupcakes, Micah's ready to scream. When he discovers who's been spreading the cupcake poison to the community, there's going to be trouble. And to make a bad day even worse, Micah comes home to find his boyfriend in bed with someone else—on the day before Valentine's Day! In frustration, he throws the rat out and agrees to go to his friend’s orgiastic Anti-Valentines party. Not his style, but lately, his style seems to be crumbling around him like stale baked goods.
Southerner Quentin Darby wishes he could stop wearing women's clothes. He desperately wants to live up to the glowing opinion his grandmother holds of him, so he's never even told her he's gay. And now there's this guy from the party who makes him wish he could just be who he is—a man who likes women's clothing, loves to bake, and thinks everything's better with cupcakes. Until a man with an axe to grind decides the time to grind it is now...

3.5 stars cupcakes rounded up to 4 because still no 1/2 stars cupcakes here on GR...full review to follow soonish...ok, it's full review time...
Ok, so other than the grass, this one was pretty darned cute...
So if you saw my updates on GR than you saw my comment about how 'delicious' was't a word that I'd use to describe the smell of a freshly mowed lawn...sorry but while I do like the smell of a freshly mowed lawn it just doesn't make me hungry. But neither am a raw food fanatic like Micah Truveen (yeah, he's one of the MCs in this story)
Micah Truveen is a raw food vegan and he's all about the healthy foods. So when he discovers his customers are flocking to the new cupcake shop up the street...you can well imagine that he blows a gasket and then he goes home to find his sleazeball of a boyfriend, Dharamaram doing the nasty in bed with someone else...well he blows another gasket and really who can blame him? Certainly not I. I was so on board with him kicking his backside to the curb and then heading over to his friends anti-Valentine's party (read orgy) where he meets this incredibly sexy, southern belle...Quentin Darby.
Quentin likes his pretty things sexy dresses, stiletto heels and can I just say here...I'm jealous because damn, I can't walk in those things but seems Quentin's a runway queen on them.
Quentin moved to California with his southern grandmother to take care of her. I loved Quentin's grandma...she's awesome, I'd move to Cali to take care of her too. Unfortunately Quentin's got secrets from that he's keeping from her. He's afraid of loosing her love if he tells her that he's gay much less that he's a cross dresser. But Quentin's also not told Micah what he does for a living either...maybe Quentin has a cupcake shop...oopsie, this is going to be an awkward moment.
'Hearts and Flour' was from start to finish a light fluffy, cupcake of a read. While Micah and Quentin might have met under questionable circumstances and it was definitely lust at first sight. Take heart dear reader two things did not occur 1. neither of them was with anyone else at said orgy and 2. it was insta-lust not insta-love.
"Hearts and Flour" was also a chance for me to check out a couple of new narrators...Rys Forest and Stephen Kurpis and I have to say from a purely audio perspective I enjoyed this one. I'm not sure who read what parts but I'm ok with that as well since I can honestly say I liked it all...however, I will say whoever did the voice of Quentin was awesome. When Quentin was dressed as a woman the narrator gave him this wonderful husky, feminine tone that really gave depth to that character and simply enhanced the image of Quentin that I had in my head...it was spot on.
I'm definitely going to keep an ear tuned for more by these two. At present there's only one other book to their credit that I was able to find on audible and it's also by Ms Lain...so, it looks like I've got at least one more Tara Lain book in my future.
If you're looking for something cute and fun to enjoy on audio...let's call it summer listening. You might want to give this one a chance. It's a nice way to pass a bit of time on a too hot to do anything summer afternoon. ***********************
An audio book of "Hearts and Flour" was graciously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
When I want a cute, feel-good, happy and sexy romp of a read, I go for one of Tara Lain's books. Micah is a very very die hard vegan, he owns his own place and serves his loyal customer base his raw, organic foods. Quentin is the Queen of cupcakes, well, he likes to dress up as a lady and calls himself Queen when he does, and he owns his own bakery and sells the best cupcakes ever- so good, that Micah's customers are going for the flour and sugar that at least to Micah is the root of all evil. Micah has finally dumped his lying, cheating, using scumbag asshat of a yoga teaching boyfriend and meets Queen the same night. They hit it off, but soon Micah's unbending beliefs and his past along with Quentin's secrets get in the way. The conflict isn't overdone or angsty and I got my happy (and healthy) ending.
Very fun contemporary novella set in Laguna Beach. Micah owns a raw food cafe and Quentin moves in next door selling cupcakes. Fortunately, Micah doesn't figure out who Quentin is until they've already gotten attached to one another. Once they do, there's some predictable angst, but it resolved quickly.
There some cross-dressing in this, which is fine, and the sparks certainly fly between the two MCs. I enjoyed all the ancillary characters. There's a whole lot of sex for a fairly short read, though, and it's definitely feels like a "light" story that could have benefited from further development and fleshing out. Still, it was a fun Valentine's Day treat.
A cute read with likeable characters and an interesting cross-dressing element. Micah owns a raw food vegan restaurant and Quentin a decadent cupcake bakery. That's almost the Montagues and Capulets right there. ;)
This is definitely fast and furious. Some hot sex mixed with diametrically opposed ways of life. Thankfully the men learn to bend a little to see the other's viewpoints but I'm happy to say that Micah stays true to his raw food vegan ways.
Micah and Quentin happen to meet each other at a un-Valentine party for single people... while Micah has always known he's gay, there is something about one of the girls at the party that really touches him, and he understand why when he realizes Quentin sometimes likes to dress like a girl. They have a very hot and heavy encounter, and they both want more. However, Micah just got out of a very toxic relationship, and Quentin isn't exactly out of the closet yet - neither as gay, nor as a man who enjoys women's clothing and make-up every now and then. Add to those difficulties that Micah has a small raw food restaurant, where he tries to convert his clients into becoming healthier, and Quentin makes delicious cupcakes that are as far from raw and healthy as they can be.
Just as their relationship is in the starting block, the things that can make things difficult for them happen as well. Micah's toxic ex blackmails him, and so, Quentin thought it was all over before it started. Added to that was the fact that Micah understood that it was Quentin's cupcakes that tempted his clients to not stay healthy, and he had a small melt-down over that.
Heart and Flours has some really great characters, and I enjoyed Micah and Quentin a lot, however, Quentin's grandmother was the best of all! She, of course, had known for a long time both that Quentin was gay, and that he liked women's clothing. I love it when characters in a story have the support they need, even if they might not always know it in advance. This story also has Ms. Lain's trademark good humor, and that was good, because there was also a tad too much drama for my taste, even if everything turned out well in the end.
Written in third person point of view and past tense, the story flowed easily, and Hearts and Flour is a pretty quick read. If you're a Lain fan, this book is a must! And if you haven't had the pleasure to meet her characters yet, this is definitely a good place to start before you go on to her different series.
Micah put a finger under Quentin's chin. "I don't think anything about you could disappoint me." "I hope that's true." He so did.
"Hey. You look lower than Michael Phelp's resting heart rate. What's going on?" Kathy peered over his shoulder from behind. "Yeah. I let Dharmaram move back in." He cringed. He'd been avoiding telling her because he knew - "You what? Jesus Fucking Christ!"
"Ma'am, uh, you referred to me as Quentin's boyfriend-" Quentin put a finger on Micah's arm. "Shh." He covered Quentin's finger with his hand. "No shh." He looked back at Mary Beth. "Can you tell me what you meant?" She smiled. "Well dear, where I come from a boyfriend is someone who comes to call and pays attention and steals kisses in dark corners and maybe more if the opportunity arises."
I do have to say that Micah's militant stance on anything non-vegan, non-raw food got a bit irritating and at times high-handed. I appreciated Queen's bridge-building baking gesture (although that concession wasn't necessary IMHO), and Micah finally pulling that stick out of his ass.
The hiding and secrecy didn't make much sense given some of the things Queen's sassy Southern Grandma said to him that hinted she already knew he was at least gay (if not fond of women's clothing, too), which made the half-assed blackmail aspect of the plot feel a little ridiculous. (Also, never underestimate the intuitive powers of a Sassy Southern Grandma.)
But I LOVED the Anti-Valentine's Day orgy. I would actually read a couple of stories from some of the other characters mentioned (or rather glossed over) if it included them meeting at this party!! (There should be a million more books with Anti-V'day orgies. Just sayin'.)
This is just awkward from the conversations, to the characters, to the way the plot is unfolding. Then there's a whole stupid blackmail subplot...and this is making me crazy in a really not good way. I'm going to have to take a pass and DNF. No rating.
I’ve been reading way too many angst-filled romances with jerky heroes and too much boring sex, along with a few books with very wordy prose and it was beginning to exhaust me. I needed something uncomplicated and a little sweet to make me feel better about the book world and to avoid another reading slump. I’d been saving this one for the perfect moment because I’m a moody reader and I heard that it was a bit on the sweet side. I usually prefer darker books but every now and then I need a break. Hearts and Flour is very sweet, just look at that cover, but it was exactly what I needed to read to knock me out of the blahs.
Micah is a raw vegan who has everything under control. Or so he thinks. He’s dating a handsome yoga instructor, he runs a healthy eatery and prides himself on helping others eat well and live healthy lives. He thinks he’s doing a good job until a steady customer shows up to order her healthy grass shake and he catches her devouring a cupcake. He’s shaken and kind of angry. Apparently a cupcake shop has opened up a few doors down from his shop and it’s serving up white flour and sugary poison to his healthy customers and undoing all of his hard work. He heads home and finds his lover in his bed with another man. He kicks him to the curb and cuddles up with his 17 year old cat (awww). Soon after, still pissed off, he agrees to go to an anti-Valentine’s party where he hooks up with a beautiful man, dressed as a beautiful woman, who he only knows as Queen and they have some amazing sex. They also have one of those instant “you belong with me” moments and can’t get each other off the brain.
But Queen is actually Quentin and Quentin (if you haven’t guessed) is the baker of the poisonous treats. Quentin is also still very much in the closet and fears he will break his Grandmother’s heart if she ever discovers that he’s gay and enjoys dressing up as a woman. She raised him and he doesn’t want to lose her love but he can’t stop seeing Micah either, even when Micah acts like a judgy prick when he discovers what Quentin does for a living.
I really enjoyed this book, even if (or because) it was so very sweet and the characters called everyone “dear” (even the loser of an ex does it). Every time I’d hear “dear” this “dearie” spewing guy would pop into my head and it would make me smile.
Micah’s not always the brightest bulb in the room and he has a few unlikable moments, I’m not going to lie, but the author doesn’t drag them out too long and made him realize the error of his ways before I became annoyed. And, well, there had to be some conflict, right?
Quentin was adorable but he wasn’t naïve and I liked the combination.
Oh face it, Queen, you thought with your cock. You didn’t really know the man. One date and a couple great fucks do not a relationship make.
I haven’t a bad thing to say about him. His relationship with his granny was lovely and well developed and I was hoping that everything would work out perfectly for him in the end.
You might like this if you can deal with a little sugar and a lot of lust and want a book that will make you feel good when it ends.
*The FTC makes me declare that I received a copy of this book from the Publisher.
This is just the right type book to slip in between those emotional wringers! Quck Lighter weight read , sweet and easy on the angst but with some nice hot sexy interludes - this isn't going to tax your brain cells but it will leave you with a little bit of the warm and fuzzies. The blurb pretty much covers what you need to know plot wise so its pointless rehashing that. It's predictable but sometimes predictable is what you want and I've said before, if its good who cares!!
Micah and Quentin are very endearing and the secondary characters support the story nicely enough, especially Quentins grandma Mary Beth ( a real sweetie ) and Micahs dreaded ex - a less than spiritual yoga teacher! boo hiss! I was a bit disappointed that the "food feud" didn't feature more and cause more a bit more ST and friction but overall I enjoyed it just for the fact that for once I wasn't either sobbing uncontrollably or throwing my Kindle down in exasperation. The most this brought out was a smile. :)
Any book with a cat called Furtwangler has to be OK in my opinion. Lol! :) Passed a couple of hours very nicely.
3.65 stars. This was an adorable, sweet read with a cross dressing twist. The blurb is pretty much the story. I appreciated the lack of converting from both MCs. Even though vegan food is Micah's religion, we found out why he became vegan and he became flexible enough to accept Quentin for who he was. I like that Quentin also didn't try to convert Micah and he was inspired to introduce raw vegan cupcakes in his bakery. There was quite a bit of hot sex in this novella. I really like Quentin's grandmother who was the inspiration for the bakery and Furtwängler (the cat) with his cat wisdom. Overall, I enjoyed this. It's perfect for Valentine's day.
I confess the only reason I wanted to read this was because it was my first time coming across a fellow raw food vegan character, but this didn't work for me.
The drama seems manufactured and the dialogue and exposition weird are sickeningly honey sweet in places, not to mention very feminine. I get that Quentin is Southern but his speech didn't ring true to me. So DNF @ 66%.
This one was sweet, fluffy, and also sexy but a few niggles kept me from giving it a higher rating.
Surprisingly, for such a short story, there was a lot of sex but I guess given how both MCs met, it was too be expected. There was definitely lust at first sight (and man, these guys were hot together and not only because of the added sexiness of lace underwear) but not love at first sight. Sadly, though, the "dirty talk" and dialog during these scenes made me laugh or roll my eyes and I don't think this was the author's intention. “You turn me on like a Ferrari ignition.” doesn't evoke sexy feelings in me.
I'm not sure if the dialog and the way the guys, Queen especially, were talking was just unfamiliar to my ears but it sounded odd and unnatural at times.
The added drama towards the end of the book was unnecessary IMO. The MCs already were in a rough spot and I don't think the "compromise" Micah "had to make" to protect Queen's secrets was needed to create even more tension between them.
Otherwise, I liked the characters and side-characters (Queen's grandmother was awesome!). So if you want a quick, light, and fun read in between angstier books, I'd say go for it.
The new-to-me narrator, Ry Forest, did a great job and I especially liked his voice for Queen.
m/m Hearts and Flour by Tara Lain is a sweet m/m that is perfect for Valentines Day. Micah and Queen meet at an anti-Valentine’s Day bash. Micah was hurting after he found his live in lover of the past year in bed with another guy the day before. Queen is new to town and saw it as a way to meet some of the gay community. The attraction is instantaneous and the chemistry is off the charts. That is until Micah the health food nut finds out that Queen is the owner of Charismatic Cupcakes the place that is luring his health conscious customers to the dark side. I loved everything about Queen but his accent. I live in the south and well… I felt for Micah but he too has issues. But by the end I liked them both a whole lot more. Mostly I liked Nee Nee. A fun sweet read.
I liked this one. It was cute. The cross-dressing was a twist. I loved Quentin and the wonderful relationship he shared with his grandmother. I also loved that he baked awesome, sugary, cupcakes. (Yum! I adore cupcakes.) I also enjoyed Micah; I loved that he was a raw vegan fanatic. I didn't care for the way he responded when finding out that Quentin was the bakery shop owner. More groveling was needed there IMHO.
3.5 stars. Sweet and easy read, with some cross dressing, a little misunderstanding, and lots of hot sex. I was in the mood for something light, and this was a perfect fit.
Meh. 2.5 stars. I kind of liked Micah sometimes. I kind of liked Quentin sometimes. The overly southern speech was a bit OTP, then again I don't know anyone from South Carolina so maybe that aspect was completely on point. Their relationship happens at lightening speed without much substance and just hours after Micah gets out of a long term, serious relationship. They have a mutual attraction with great sex then not much else. Good choice for a man in lace, dresses and heels. Quentin's grandma and Micah's friends are all pretty cool, too, so this wasn't a total loss. Just not the book for me.
Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆ This may be a short read, but it packs in a lot of story. I was completely invested in the outcome and was so happy with how they managed to resolve their differences. I felt it worked brilliantly, as Micah came to terms with why he had the views he did, and whether there was a time to be a little less rigid with his rules.
So many lovely touches, and fun, flirty, and sweet moments. And then some sad, despairing, and self-sacrificing ones. As I say, a whole great big romance, in a very short and sweet package. Thank you, Ms. Lain.
Reviewers received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
One night of a 'raw' sex at the un-Valentine's day orgy party after a heartbreaking moment of his life , saw his boyfriend getting f***ed by a stranger on their bed, Micah and Queen a.k.a Quentin can't deny the attraction between them.
One stupid comment ruined all. One stupid decision make it worse. But love conquers all. And one Gandma Mary Beth is a savior of their relationship. Nice sweet story, between a cross dressing man and and a raw food crazed.
This one is cute, and the sex is so freakin' hot! Read this. Tara Lain is always a comfort zone to my reading. You won't disappointed!
Note : my second read this year, this book was so much fun.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I have been reading romances about cross-dressing characters this weekend, so I found this one interesting from the blurb.
It was a fairly light hearted book about two competing restaurant owners, one a vegan and the other a bakery owner. Their opposites attract romance was cute with just a bit of angst to keep it interesting.
In the short book, the author did a good job of developing the characters and I really enjoyed Quentin.
The only thing I wish was that the book was longer.
My only complaint about this book, and I'm a huge fan of Tara Lain's, is that it wasn't long enough to really flesh out the story. I give it a very strong 3.5
3.5 Stars Overall (book & audio) This book is ridiculously over-the-top cheesy and funny. A fluffy, cute romance with zero angst and just enough drama to keep you entertained. I wanted to love this book for the premise and story, but was just thoroughly entertained by it instead. Everything about this was just okay for me. I think I might have liked this one more reading it in e-book form than I did listening to it in audio. I'm not quite sure how exactly to word my review so let me just recap a bit and add some feelings in.
~ This book really makes me want to eat some cupcakes.
~ Micah is scandalized by all of his friends and customers eating those Devil Cupcakes from the new bakery in town that are NOT being made with vegan, gluten-free, raw ingredients. How dare they?!?
~ Micah finds his boyfriend cheating on him right before Valentine's Day, in his own bed. Eewww.
~ Omg... And what is with some of the character names... Dharmaram? Furtwrangler? Yancy? **Can't stop giggling**
~ Then... BOOM... Anti-Valentine’s day Party Orgy...
~ Micah meets Quentin "Queen" at the party, they have some hot sex, made hotter by the narration, and actually exchange numbers afterwards, turning a random hook-up into more. I liked how they totally hit it off right away and that Micah was completely fine with everything about Queen. Even him being closeted, and his cross-dressing and makeup and southern niceties and all. Things are going good between them until Micah realizes that Quentin is actually the owner of that horrible bakery leading his health nut friends astray. LOL
~ Re-enter the Jerk-Face & now ex-boyfriend with a supremely douchey blackmail scheme... I was furious and hurt for Micah and upset for how this would affect his relationship with Queen when they were already on rocky ground trying to get past their differences. The ex-bf is a horrible person, and I hope Karma gets him back for it.
~ Grandma Mary Beth casually mentions Quentin and Micah being boyfriends like it’s nothing and she knew the whole time *Mic-Drop*
Audio - I'm not sure how, but I simultaneously liked and disliked this narration at the same time during the whole 3hr long book. It's my first time with this narrator, Ry Forest, and he did a good job and put a lot of enthusiasm into this book. I was amused and entertained by the narration of the story and the portrayal of the characters and their personalities really stood out. But the overly southern drawl was just a little too much for me (personally) at times. I think if you want a nice and easy fun and quick listen this book is probably a good choice for you.
4.5 if you buy it expecting a novella (which I knew ahead of time), because I thought the characters were unique. For a novella, it packs a lot of description and plot. Maybe a 4 for anyone buying it expecting something a bit longer or deeper.
RAW & SWEET light-hearted romance In some ways this story is typical Tara Lain (out gay man meets closeted gay man, attraction, hot sex and then misunderstandings ensue, and supportive friends and family help them out). However, each book features unique characters, with different thoughts/voices/quirks/skills, from a variety of backgrounds. A sex party and a cross-dressing lead were new elements in this book (well, there is also cross-dressing in Sinders and Ash, under a completely different scenario for a different reason). The book is on the shortish side for $4.99 (longer than Volley Balls, shorter than Fire Balls) but I never regret buying any of Tara’s books.
RAW Micah’s food. Yancy’s party/orgy!!!!! Some of the sex. My dislike of Micah’s manipulative lying cheating scumbag former boyfriend. Micah’s emotions as he goes through the ups and downs of his journey. And even though Micah is out and Quentin closeted, I think Micah has the harder path to a happy relationship.
SWEET Quentin’s cupcakes. Quentin as Queen. Quentin as Quentin. The restaurant scene. Some of the sex. Micah’s cat. Micah’s friends. Quentin’s grandmother. The last chapter (no spoilers from me).
FAVORITE LOL LINE “He was nervous as a cat in a rocking chair store.”
BOTTOM LINE Just keep in mind that this is a short, light-hearted, emotional but not too angst-filled read, between real men who treat each other as equals. If you want high-angst tortured-past heroes, violence, drawn-out for chapters suspense, super alpha heroes or D/s elements, look elsewhere. Tara’s books are feel-good reads when you want a nice escape from all the darker stuff out there, or have had a really bad day and need perking up.
The action only spans a couple of weeks – I would love to see these characters recur in other stories, so we can glimpse them sometime down the road in the future. Their true relationship was really just beginning at the end of the story.
I am just glad I was able to finish the story without getting unhealthy cupcake cravings (or so I tell myself).
Hearts and Flour is the first book I have had the pleasure to read by Tara Lain. It most certainly won't be my last. Tara Lain has a nice flow of telling a story that keeps you turning pages. This is a really great story about two totally opposite guys. I really enjoyed reading about Micah & Quentin.
Micah Truveen thinks he has his life under control. He has a fabulous business of selling raw, vegan food in his restaurant that he loves. He also has what he thinks is the "perfect" boyfriend. Just when he thinks all is perfect he finds out his boyfriend is cheating on him and a cupcake store has opened up next door. His customers are buying lots of cup cakes after working so hard to purify their systems. It's driving Micah nuts! Dang his world was just falling apart. I loved Micah, he such a sweet, caring guy. He needs a break for things to go well for him. He goes to a party at his friend's house and meets Quentin Darby. The sparks between these two turn into fireworks from the beginning.
Quentin Darby is leading a double life. He is a cupcake baker gentleman (yes the same cup cake store that is driving Micah nuts) taking care of his grandma in the light of day. By Night Quentin is Queen a cross dressing gay man that has knocked the socks off Micah. Quentin has not came out to his grandma and thinks she knows nothing of his double life. I really loved Quentin's Grandma, she is one cool lady that knows more then people think she does.
Things get complicated and these two have work out a lot of things in order to get together. I loved this story is shows how quickly you can form feelings for someone and want to protect them.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a HOT, HOT, quick read that keeps you turning pages to see how these two are finally going to get together.
I would highly recommend this book if you are a fan of m/m erotica. I think you'll love it. Of course if you are already a fan of Tara Lain I'm sure you will enjoy this one. I know I sure did. I can't wait to see what she has planned for her next book.
At first, I was excited about this book. I visit Laguna Beach a couple times a year to see family and Glenneyre Street is a lifesaver if you want to avoid PCH, and both roads are mentioned in the book often. The author’s blurb explains Lain has an affinity for Laguna and seems to live in the general area…which is why I was so disappointed with her bloodless description. This vibrant town that prides itself on its artists is reduced to name dropping this street, a gay beach a good mile or two south of town, and a stereotype about Californians and dietary conscientiousness (I will admit, there are always people jogging, walking, running around, never mind who’s hitting the beach). So that was a huge disappointment for me.
The story started off well enough. I liked the introduction to Micah. We see him in his element in his health food juice stand and he feels like he’s well integrated into whatever health culture there is in Laguna. It was an opportunity to see him interact with a world he enjoys and see how he can be well-meaning, but still overbearing. He really tries to go the extra mile to convince people how easy, fun, and delicious cooking vegan/organic/raw/whatever can be.
Micah Truveen’s life is just about perfect. The openly gay, devoted vegan runs a successful raw food restaurant, teaches classes on how to prepare raw food and has the best boyfriend a guy could want. Or so he thinks. First he catches his supposed vegan customer’s eating cupcakes, then he walks in on his boyfriend with another guy. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Quentin Darby leads a double life. By day he takes care of his grandmother and together they make the cupcakes that have Micah seething; by night he’s the cross dressing Queen. While Quentin is a closeted gay, trying to keep up appearances with his grandmother, Queen waves her freak flag, proudly! In her skimpy red dress, sky high stilettos and sexy undies that drive Micah crazy and make him see double.
Micah spots Queen at a friend’s Anti-Valentine’s day party and he’s instantly enamoured with her… him. It doesn’t take long for Micah to figure out Queen is a guy, and it takes even less time before these two are trying to devour each other! When Micah finally learns that Quentin is the infamous cupcake baker, is the relationship doomed before it even starts?
All along the way Lain gives us not only some knock your socks off romps in white sheets, but she also touches on hatred, bigotry, blackmailing and stupidity. When Micah finally figures out he’s no better than everyone else by being completely closed minded about the cupcake issue with Quentin, will it be too late for him to have a second shot at happiness with him?
