I have Herbie Brennan's 'fairie' books so found this book and topic quite different. A young German boy and his belief in Hitler and the glory of Germany during the second world war. Written in a very easy style for younger children to read but with a very serious message - a very moving story - the futility of war and the loss of innocence.
