Interracial Romance BWWM

David Hudson was rising in the political field. As a senator from New York, he had it all – good looks, a well-known family name and the finances to go with it, but for David, it was never enough. He graduated from an Ivy League school at the top of his class, and his parents were political royalty in America so he grew up in the spotlight with all of the luxuries one could imagine. David was immaculate in his appearance. His dark brown hair was always parted to the side and combed smoothly, while his tan complexion and deep brown eyes caused many women to take a second glance every time he walked into a room. His fit build ensured every suit he owned looked like it was tailored to his body. Even in his mid 40s, he looked ten years younger and his energy was as high as it had ever been.

For Those Who Love Scandalous Romance!

Perhaps there is nothing that goes as well with romance as a good scandal. Scandalous: By His Executive Order is a short but thoroughly enjoyable romance novel with a plot set among the backdrop of political intrigue in Washington DC. Politics and sex go together perfectly, as the reader delves into the world of David Hudson and his wife Jessica. Both are from wealthy, elite families, and are political darlings within the power structure of this nation. As a matter of fact, from the first few pages we learn that David is poised to run for president, a job which many insiders believe he is capable of easily securing. Of course, what is a romance novel without a little conflict? And that conflict comes in the guise of a scandal that has the potential to destroy David's future.

I don't want to ruin the novel for you by revealing too much. Suffice it to say, however, there are many interesting turns and twists along the way as David and Jessica have to each handle the crisis that is presented to them. Author Yolanda Richards is excellent at flushing out characters, revealing their motivations and quirks as the novel progresses. Best of all, the book is packed with the kind of contentious dramatic elements that romance readers enjoy the most.

For a light read, Scandalous is an excellent novel. Not only do the pages flow well, meaning that you'll get through the story quickly while enjoying it nonetheless, but the ending will leave you wanting more. That's one of the hallmarks of a good book -- creating characters so interesting that readers don't want to see the book come to an end.

Fans of the romance genre who love stories packed with slander, wrongdoing, and sin -- a few of the things which make life interesting, after all -- will find everything they're looking for in Scandalous.
