this book is about a boy that calls his friend Kate to come and play and he gets all excited when she thinks Kate is coming over but then Kate's mother calls back saying she cant come because of the rain so the boy decides to make his own Kate and play with her instead. this book also rhymes and is great for kids in kindergarten and 1st grade to read.

Sweet story of a boy excited about a play date, with simple abcb rhymes, good for a beginning reader or as a read aloud for ages 3-6. The Kate in the story looks a little like our Kate, so that makes it more fun!
