I received Glamorous by George from Good Reads First Reads and read it in one go. Awesome book! It was even better than I expected; down to earth, realistic advice that is not just for the blessed few who can 'afford' to be glamorous. Great tips on making the most of your best features, rather than focusing on hiding flaws as so many do nowadays. I love that the author addressed ettiquette as well as fashion, something that is too often neglected. This is a definite must read for anyone wanting to polish their personal style, or simply looking for advice on getting more bang for your buck on those shopping sprees. Thank you, George!

I am a addicted to books about fashion and style. I've read plenty and some stand out in the crowd for one reason or another. Maybe it's the pictures or illustrations; maybe it's the way the message is delivered or set out. In any case, this one, although nicely done and written from the perspective of a great stylist (I loved George Kotsiopoulos on Fashion Police - a stylish gentleman) about being "glamorous", a words I aspire to be, it didn't learn anything I didn't already know or have read about before about this subject. Hollywood glamour is definitely not what it was. There are a few women who still epitomize that old fashioned siren who turned heads but they are a rare breed.

I very much enjoyed this book. In fact, I'm going to buy a copy of it for my sister. I'm not letting go of my copy! It's completely packed with useful information about personal style, makeup and hairstyles, shopping for (and getting) bargains in clothing and accessories. There are even helpful chapters on etiquette and how to host a great party.

With a breezy conversational style, George shares tips and tricks to help you look your best, regardless of your budget. The info he shares on vintage clothing is quite helpful, as well. It's as if he's at your side just chatting with you. He writes his way through the decades from the Twenties to the present day, drawing parallels between the stars of the past and our current favorites.

I really appreciated the lovely slick heavy paper used in the book as it's loaded with beautiful photographs. For me, this book is a winner AND a keeper. Thanks, George !

At first I wasn't going to write a review because I assumed everyone would of loved the book and give raving reviews. But it doesn't look like people enjoyed it like I did. George gave great advice and tips on basically how to enjoy life to the glamorous fullest. To me he came across as honest and down to earth. I agreed with everything he said and learned quite a but too. He didn't tell the readers to "act like a movie star". He told them to be themselves with manners and their own style. That's a true movie star.
