Bipolar By Proxy is an intimate journey of young love, marriage, family, bipolar and pseudo bipolar. This captivating story is about compassion for another human being, the belief in marriage, and the ignorance of mental health disorders. Along the way, you realize the important strengths and characteristics that are instilled in us from birth. Education is empowering but we are all just human first.
This book hit home for me in a lot of ways. Instead of having a spouse with bipolar, I have a child with the disorder. It is refreshing to read a book that is not steeped in medical or psychological jargon but tells what the shock of the diagnosis and the pain of the illness is like. Kudos the the author for such an honest and open view into what her journey has been like. I highly recommend this book for anyone that cares about someone with bipolar disorder!
