I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this book was. It has beautiful pictures, good technique instruction, and the patterns use nice yarn. My main complaint is that some of the patterns seem a little dated and/or like other patterns I've seen. I know the title is 'Classic Knits' but I would have liked a few patterns that were a little more modern. I think this is a good book for beginners or for someone returning to knitting after long break.
Very nice guidebook for those new to knitting and those more advanced. There's a great range interesting projects to choose from and I particularly like the practical information at the end of the book: knitting abbreviations, yarn tables, basic stitches, etc.
I received this book as a gift, and it is a wonderful gift indeed for those interested in knitting (even the beginners!)
