BRIEF SUMMARY
Micki is at her job doing what she loves; taking photos of a bride to be. While there, everything goes wrong, someone is trying to kill her. Micki is being shot at for being in the right place at the wrong time shooting the wrong person with her lens (hope that made sense). She calls the one person's heart she broke for help, her ex boyfriend and childhood sweet heart Oz aka Osmond. Oz is a cop with built up frustration and hurt towards Micki, but now has to help and protect Micki against a killer.

THOUGHTS
This was an enjoyable Romantic Suspense-Mystery novel. For me it had a feel of law and order with romance thrown into the mix. For Oz's character, bitter much, but bitter in a good way, it made for an interesting read. Oz is trying to figure out where he went wrong with Micki before she broke up with him. Micki is trying to find her way and wants to do what her father was unable to do. By doing this, she jeopardizes her relationship with Oz. Interactions between Oz and Micki where great you definitely felt their chemistry. In the beginning I loved their intimacy teaser moments surely was pleasurable. The moment Micki called Oz the story took off for me. I enjoyed the Mystery and supporting characters the author uses in the the book. Vinnie, Oz's best friend I think he should get his own story he seem sexy and and a little mysterious.

Favorite moments for me, Fawn, Oz's current lover before Micki came back, walks in on both Oz and Micki. It sounds bad but it was a pleasurable moment to read. I also enjoyed the climax towards the end. Oz pretending to arrest Micki to win her back that was so sweet.

Storyline: GOOD

Who knew taking pictures in the park could be so dangerous and life threatening? When wedding photographer Micki Vermillion gets her car windows shot out by a couple of “random” bullets as she’s finishing up a job - she turns to the one person who she trusts the most...ex-boyfriend and cop Oz.

As Oz investigates the shooting, a subsequence attack on Micki and her apartment all things are pointing to something Micki inadvertently captured on her camera that day in the park.

I really enjoyed Kill Shot. It had lots going on. Oz is a great, big alpha male cop who’s loved Micki all his life - they grew up together, dated and when she broke up with him, he was broken hearted and never knew really why Micki broke it off, but he’s never stopped loving her.

Kill Shot is fast paced as the police work to solve the crime which becomes more complicated as a dead body is discovered floating in the lake in Central Park and a high power couple (they reminded me of the Trump’s for some reason) seem to be at the center of everything.

Oz and Micki fall back into a familiar relationship, but for Micki it brings back a lot of feelings of why she broke up with Oz in the first place. She wants to stand on her own, make a name for herself as a professional photographer and wants to maintain her own identity and make her own decisions. Oz and Micki have a lot to work on since the alpha male has a hard time toning down his protective instincts around Micki. But Oz is determined to make it work with Micki this time around...even if it means giving her a little space.

There was a very interesting secondary character Philip Luka who runs his own “extermination business”. I wonder if he may get his own story in the future?

Mystery, suspense and an endearing love story made Kill Shot an interesting and fast read.

Kill Shot is another fast paced, great read from J.D. Faver. Micki never dreamed that in her line of work as a photographer and doing what she loves best, would throw her in danger. When her car windows are shot out during a photo shoot, mistrust runs high for Micki. She doesn't want to, but calls on Oz, a policeman and her ex-boyfriend, the one person she knows she can trust, to find out why and who is after her.

The more time they spend together, the more Micki remembers why she isn't with Oz any longer. Micki refuses to allow anyone to take away her independence.

Oz is still in love with Micki, but if he's to win back her heart, he'll need to admit and understand that Micki is and will remain her own person. The ultimate protector, Oz has lessons to learn about giving Micki her own reins to hold.

If you can get past a lot of unbelievable events or legal procedure, this is an okay book. Both of the main characters are also a bit juvenile.
