THIS HAS ONE AN AWARD FOR THE BEST FRUSTRATING ENDING. EVER. IN. THE. ENTIRE. WORLD.

OHMYF THIS. THIS- I'M- THAT- *CRIES*

I am now posting my feels and pouring my hearts out because of this.
I am suffering from the loss of Sweet Legacy.
I am apparently diagnosed of anaphylactic shock.
I am searching for a medicine for book hangovers.
I am now shutting myself up to write a review which is probably composed of all my feels and othe blurp of nonsense which ALSO does not particularly serve as a so-called review.

I cannot write a decent review for maybe I will "accidentally" post "some" reviews because of the earlier-said feels.

When I got Sweet Legacy I decided to hold off reading it- which is, if I may, the worst thing I have EVER done in my ENTIRE lives- because the first two books was REALLY amazing, REALLY, I'm not kidding or being sarcastic but when I read the summary of the book I was like "Eh, it doesn't sound appealing." Which was GRAVELY wrong, by the way.

The plot starts monsters monsters and planning about busting the gorgons out of their prisons. Matchmaking. So yeah.

UGH. This is so hard to do. I am literally hurting right now. I'm not much thrilled about having a cup of tea with my laptop and talk about the characters of the story but I've no choice given the circumstances so! Let's "talk" about the characters instead.

Greer, which is my favorite she-charac is the oldest-which was PAINFULLY obvious because she was the most responsible- was the girl who likes normalcy, having control and the one who first disagreed about Grace and Gretchen being triplets but beneath all that, she loved her sisters when they became close as paper and glue. I think she really was the main character of the story given her Second Sight and all. She also managed to wedge in a lover *waggles eyebrows* guess who it is. So you really need to stop all crap you're doing and read it.

Grace, who is the second oldest was the first one to meet Gretchen from the first book Sweet Venom. She has a brother named Thane that had an EARTH-SHATTERING news. Is in-love with you-know-who.

Gretchen, the youngest(FYI:that's what it said) which is HIGHLY unlikely is the most-trained of the triplets. Met Sthenno and Euryale AND ALSO THE Oracle. The oracle's name suck by the way so read read read! She is the most determined and fierce out of all the three. Again. She put the plug in the socket between her and to-die-for he-charac and let the sparks fly. To know this, read it.

Milo, may epic favorite he-character was THE BEST because he didn't run off when she(not sayin') told him that they're Medusa, gods, goddesses, olympians, death, life, danger, not safe, and key generation to opening the portal to the other realm.

I'll cut the charac review short. Let us now move on to my feels!

THIS IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS THE PROPORTION OF IT IS JUST SO-- UGH! WRONG. WRONG. I'VE GOT THAT WORD STUCK IN MY HEAD LIKE A PLAQUE BOUNCING OFF THE STAIRS THAT IS A LOOOONG WAY DOWN THAT IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN ENDING. ONLY A BLACK PIT WITH ROCKS. MANY ROCKS. LIKE OHMYGODS WHY IS THE INTERNET SO SLOW?! DID YOU ALL SEE THE RAIN? EVER WONDER WHY IT'S SO TRANSPARENT AND YET YOU CAN SEE IT?! WHY DOES ICE LOOK SO BADASS FLOATING AROUND ITS OWN BLOOD?! MY FEELS! IT HURTS REALLY. I CAN'T EVEN SEEM TO THINK STRAIGHT AND OH DID I ALREADY MENTION THAT MILO IS AWESOME? 'COS HE REALLY GETS THE MEDUSA FREAKY CRAP AND EVEN MANAGED TO BRING HIS SOCCER TEAM TO THE- WAIT. I'VE SAID TOO MUCH.

The end is really going to be the death of me, 'cause the answers in front of us people. The gorgons just walk off the sunset(which isn't set BTW. The sun I mean), holding hands then BAM! Gone. Oh, and before that, they gave the triplets a freaking gift!! I WANT TO SAY THE GIFT. BADLY. BUT I CAN'T. SORRY. But the catch is, it can only do with two sisters and only one mortal to retain the balance. Then did you know what happened?!? Did YOU?! No. You don't. So please read this so I can share my feels with you!!

The Gods and Goddesses were pretty stupid because they don't have any conscience(which they ALSO don not have). It's like they just wanted to close the seal and let the creatures inside it DIE. DIE.

Sillus is my favorite creature in this series because let's face it. His monkey shape and his GRAMMAR. Oh his grammar. I can already imagine it while he's speaking. Like the Penguin from Toy Story.. all squeaky. HA! *sighs* I wish they make this into a movie.

I advise all of those who already read this to consult Dr. Feels after because it will tear your hearts out and you will need to gulp down.. maybe 30 or so gallons of water to stop you from hiccuping.

P.S whosoever read this series is AWE-SOME.

Not quite as good as the previous two books. I felt the ending was rushed and a bit disappointing. I felt slightly bored at times but I didn't think it was bad at all. It did hint at more to come in this world maybe, so I would be interested in reading a fourth book or a spin off series possibly. I also felt the romances were a bit forced, like everyone had to end up with someone. Overall the trilogy was enjoyable but not amazing.

Little sad to come to the end of this series. Quite enjoyed how everything came together. Monsters are so unique. Love the monkey horde. The immortality conundrum at the end still has me thinking about it. The three guys were all great and unique in their own ways.

I really liked the concept of this series, and I think there was some nice mythology, but in the end the jumping between sisters was a bit confusing. If each book had been from one sisters point of view it might have worked better for me, or from a third person view, but then it would have been hard to follow when they split up.

I had one main problem with this final book, a problem that started brewing with Sweet Venom. Every person they tell is all, oh wow gods? For real? Coolio. And every boy they tell who is significant to the main characters is COMPLETELY COOL WITH IT. Doesn't question their sanity, doesn't think that it's scary what they're doing, just a breezy oh that's nice when do you want to go out for coffee? Granted some of them have reasons, but others are just your average human.

And lets focus on friends. I think the best books have people in it who aren't necessarily crucial to the plot-line, but they give the book depth and help us see the characters in a 3-D fashion. Besides the fist book of the series, nobody who is introduced is not A. of vital importance to the plot, B. Family, or C. A love interest.

All said, I thought the plot twists were clever and well-thought out, not contrived. But I never could get behind the insta-love or lack of character development. There just wasn't a lot of exploring to do when the short books had to divide focus on three characters that were often doing different things.

I have to say this was a nice end to a trilogy.

Was it perfect? Hardly. But I honestly feel like this was the best Tera Lynn Childs book I have read to date and I don't regret buying this book or reading this trilogy.

It's good old harmless and clean fun.

That's something I really appreciate about Tera Lynn Childs. Any age group can read her work and won't feel like they're being talked down to or be scarred for life.

Although, she does have a tendency to go towards corny.

Which I think is okay.

Sweet Legacy has a lot going for it. Decent characters, action, some romance. And it wraps pretty much everything up.

Okay, so there were some questions left...but I am satisfied enough with the conclusion of this series. The plot resolved nicely, all the characters evolved, and I liked the guys the girls ended up with for the most part.

Though I still found Greer and Thane a little weird. I mean, she's Grace sister. Identical sister. And Thane's Grace's brother. That just reads a little awkward and borderline incest to me.

They did have nice enough chemistry though, and I really think I ended up enjoying Greer the most out of the sisters and she's the one who I found most insufferable at first, so go figure.

The other sister's are great too. Okay, so I still got annoyed with Grace (a lot). And Gretchen has her moments to, but it wasn't the type of annoyance I get with YA characters like Bella Swan and Bethany Church. It was more like an annoyance you get with people, meaning they were realistic.

Though Grace, I don't want to hear about how high your IQ is. If you do that again, I'm going to make you see Dr. Sheldon Cooper and then we'll see how smart you are.

think if you were to describe this series in one sentence it would be Charmed meets Greek mythology. And I'm completely okay with that. Although, we have three destined sisters, dating guys they shouldn't, while trying to live normal lives in San Francisco Childs has made it her own story. Honestly, the mythology in this book almost has a 1980's B movie type of feel and I like it.

What did bother me about the book was I thought there were some things that needed to be flushed out more. Specifically the birth parents subplot. Maybe it's been so long since I read the other two books, but whatever happened to their father? Is he alive too? They don't even seem that curious about him or for that matter that curious about their birth mother who's really only there for plot purposes. I really didn't even know much about the organization she belonged to. But whatever. A similar situation occurred with the Thane part as well. It was details like that, that kept this book from getting a full five stars on GoodReads or a nine or ten on my own blog.

Still though, despite these faults this one was a pretty strong ending. I thought the use of both the Greek mythology world and San Francisco was well done in this book. While I did wish we'd spend just a bit more time in the real world in this installment, there was a lot going on and Tera couldn't pack everything in this installment.

Oh, and I also have to give Childs kudos for her handling of Nyx. It's nice to read an interpretation of the goddess that's not like Gaia from Captain Planet.

Overall, this book excelled at action. Tera really does excel when it comes to using Greek mythology. Her other books incorporate Greek mythology degree and each time she uses it in a unique and different way. Out of all her books I'd recommend this trilogy probably because anyone young or old can enjoy it. Yes, it has its cornball moments, but overall if your looking for something sort of light and fluffy with a little bit of action thrown in you should give this trilogy a try.

The triplets are on a rescue mission to save their great-great-forever-great aunts and to open the portal between the worlds. Battling against them are the Greek gods and the monsters are determined to kill them after they open the portal.

Why I started this book: Fun series, who wouldn't love finding out that you are triplet and that it's your destiny to fight monsters and be a hero?

Why I finished the book: It's been a couple of months since I read the first books and I struggled at the beginning to remember which sister was which... but I got back with the grove and I had a great time cheering the girls on.

Side note: This is the end of the trilogy but it sure felt like the author was leaving the door wide open for more books.

Definitely the weakest book in the trilogy. The ending was very abrupt and I didn't like being introduced to new "big" bad guys in the last 30 pages. Also, each of the girls ending up with their own neatly packaged boyfriend at the end seemed too contrived. Not everyone needs a boyfriend by page 300 to have a happy ending. I also hate the "instant" love I see in almost ALL YA books these days.

I would've given this three stars--my average rating, except the cutsie stilted "Me Tarzan, you Jane" way the monkeys spoke annoyed me. I don't like monkeys and I especially don't like ones with bad grammar.

These books were so fun! Mostly mindless, no real twists or anything so you have to take everything for face value, but I liked it all the same. Not everything has to have a deeper meaning. Sometimes you read things just for the entertainment.

All in all, I think this was a great closer to the series.

What a fun ending! I loved this trilogy. The whole thing was a fun ride that didn't take itself too seriously. I would definitely recommend it to those who love YA with a mythological twist.

One of my favourite things to read is Greek Mythology and renditions of famous tales. A series that I have been reading and just finished with Book #3 Sweet Legacy is based on the descendants of Medusa and her two sisters. The girls hold the key to the portals and hold the power to stop the monsters from entering San Francisco. In Sweet Legacy , the girls have headed through the portal to Mount Olympus to save Euracyles and Stethno from the clutches of Artemis and Apollo . Along with Nick and Thane who has been hiding secrets from his adoptive family and knows more about Grace and who she is , than he has been letting on. Will Thane reveal his true colours to the girls or will he befriend the girls and betray those who have given him orders ? The other awesome thing is that the triplets Grace, Greer and Gretchen finally find their real mother Cassandra and she helps them continue to fight the war along with the supporters and descendants of Medusa's family. This last book is a bit of a struggle to read as it is quite slow compared to the other two as this one majorly focuses on the saving of Medusa's sisters and putting an end to an age-old war. However , in saying that Sweet Legacy was an awesome conclusion to a great series and if you love Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy series - you will really love Medusa Girls.

Kind of a let down for an ending. I am sick of love at first sight and having everything wrap up so conveniently.

Grace and Thane were my favorite characters with Thane's mysterious past and the great sibling relationship.

And I love how they quickly glossed over the two bad things in the ending.

I'm confused.
Is that it? Are we done? Because the ending seemed rather ominous.

First, what's up with Greer? I swear, all that girl can do is faint. Seriously annoying.
Also, how come there was barely any Milo and Grace scenes? I mean, Gretchen and Nick are my favorite, but still.
And since I just mentioned Gretchen and Nick, why is it that Gretchen always saves Nick? I mean, I am totally a fan of Gretchen's 'girls are tough' demeanor, but it wouldn't hurt for Nick to save her once.

Okay, enough of my ranting.
The main point is: I wanted more romance and didn't get it and now I'm a bit cranky.
The phase will pass once I get my hands on another Paranormal Romance. And this time, I'm gonna make sure it actually has meaningful romance.
Not the "He dipped his head down. It felt amazing." How am I suppose to even know if they kissed when I read something like that?
So, Sweet Legacy was okay. I wasn't a huge fan, but I'm not exactly hating it either.

TF kind of ending is that??

You could atleast tell who is going to be mortal. Grace is not strong enough to be immortal. Losing Milo might break her. How selfish can you get Gretchen, nick might be immortal. And thane i hated his stupid build up & secrecy too much and at one point I didn't even care if he came and said hey im actually a demigod and my name is Percy Jackson...except Percy wouldn't be this boring. He's just like that in love with Greer who looks exactly like his..sister?! What, because of her non existent amazing personality? And if anyone rolls their eyes anymore I will plunge it out of their sockets. Tired of reading about it. And Nick's cocky grins makes me want to punch someone in the face or bang their head on a wall. Both Gretchen and Greer's romances made me want to gag. Grace and Milo were the least gag worthy couple. And this was such a lame excuse for a finale. I prefer PJO, thanks.

This is the third and final book in the Medusa Girls series by Tera Lynn, and I highly recommend reading the first two before embarking on this conclusion. We have one sister who has a stranger messing with her mind, another sister struggling to trust her stepbrother and a sister finding herself lost and spent. For fans of the dark series, I recommend you pick this up. There's war, chaos and brutal turmoil. All three sisters have grown so much in the series, and I find that I almost wish the trilogy would have been extended by a few more books. I really like how much Greer and Thane evolved and, dang, if the ending wasn't perfect.

Since this book is yet published, I won' reveal any spoilers. Ms. Tera is one of the authors who knows how to end a series. In this book, the author builds up Thane's character and reveals his true nature. She also emphasizes the importance of family, and what it can bring forth. If you are familiar with Greek Myth, you already have an idea how the irreconcilable differences of Gods can destroy the human realm...one example is the Trojan War. So, expect that to happen in this book. This book contains a lot of fighting scenes. So no dull moment. The romance is balanced amongst the sisters: Grace-Milo, Gretchen-Nick (a smartass), and Greer and Thane (a badass). I wish it lingers a little longer. :) I have enjoyed reading it.

This was a great ending to a really entertaining trilogy! :D I really enjoyed Grace, Greer, and Gretchen and their sister bond. This action-packed book had me hooked from the beginning. Although some things were just too convenient, I really enjoyed the story and how these three sisters overcame their obstacles. This was a really great trilogy, that was really fun to read! :D

This novel wasn't perfect, there was some insta-love, and some waayyy too convenient plot devices and things happening, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it..I just can't be mad at it, or give it less than 4 stars. It may have even turned out too well in the end, but honestly, I don't care. I liked it, and that is that.

Really liked this one. A good ending to the series. Though... the ending of the book was a bit abrupt. I've still got some unanswered questions. And while I know it's not really fair to compare this one to Rick Riordan's books... they're both mythology based and I read them all so close together... like I said, hard not to compare. I like that these books are a totally different take on mythology. But I gotta say, I like the gods personalities better in the Percy Jackson world (namely, Poseidon, Apollo & Artemis). Still, I really enjoyed this one and the series as a whole. I could use a book #4 :)

i love this series but im a little courious about why she choes to end the series like that. she doesnt even tell you which 2 become immortal except where she hints about grechen not wanting to see her sisters die but graces boyfriend is mortal while greers and gretchens boyfriends are immortal so i think that grace should be the mortal one. i just want her to actually finish the series. did i miss something? if so let me know who is the mortal one.

A cute end to the series. It still suffered from the same problem as before, namely three separate viewpoints, each with their own background, life, and love interest. Otherwise I felt like things were wrapped up well enough to suit me and that Childs delivered on the promises she made throughout the series.

The characters are well developed in the way that their past is told and in the way that each of them are described. Some of the characters are relatable in the way of some people know what their childhood was like. The plot line is not very predictable and very original from the plot line to the setting in the book.
Greer, Grace, and Gretchen are triplets, but they were separated at birth. They each have their own special and different abilities. Greer has second sight; Grace has auto-porting, or transporting; Gretchen has advanced strength, both mentally and physically. After all they have been through, the triplets have to figure out how to saved loved ones and how to fulfill their destiny at the same time. All three of them are in the middle of a war between gods, monsters, and the door. They all need to developed their different powers to defeat their enemy. Their enemy changes throughout the book. There are those who want them dead before the door is opened, most of the gods; those who want them dead after the door is open, the monsters and a few of the gods; then there are those on the girls' side, they want the door open and the order restored to what it was before the door was sealed. If they seal the door forever, all the monsters, good and bad, will be killed inside of the door; If they open it then get killed, monsters will be able to come out of the abyss into the human realm; If the order is restored and the door is open and being guarded by the triplets, the girls must protect the human world, making sure that all the monsters in the human realm are obeying the rules and behaving themselves.
Most of Tera Lynn Childs' books are realistic fiction. The triplets have to restore the order between the monster realm in the abyss and the human realm. I would recommend this book to teens that likes fantasy and fiction. Also those of which like mythical creatures like Gods, Goddesses and monsters.

SWEET LEGACY is the final book in the trilogy begun in SWEET VENOM. Grace, Greer, and Gretchen have lots to do before opening the door that they are meant to guard. They need to rescue their mentors, find their boyfriends and learn their secrets, and find the door that they are meant to open and guard. Hordes of Greek gods and monsters are trying to stop them.

Greer gets a better grip on her ability of second sight once she manages to break the link with Apollo that lets him know where she is and what she is doing. Since he's one of the gods who don't want the girls to succeed, this is vital to the success of their mission.

Gretchen learns that monsters are not all bad as she makes friends with some while she is in Abyssos trying to rescue her boyfriend and her mentors. Grace finds her confidence and her courage as she searches for the girls' birth mother and faces other tests.

After they manage to unravel the riddle left by the oracle and find where the door is hidden, they have to gather their allies before facing a big battle.

The story was action-packed and filled with adventure. It was also a great story about family especially the kind of family you make. I liked the way the sisters respected each other's strengths and the way they meshed given that they were just getting to know each other.

I recommend this book and this series to fans of mythology and urban fantasy.
