I read this for university. It was okay. I wish it had more specific examples from plays to help us get a better abstract idea of all the technical information.
It doesn't surprise me that this is a set text for some people on theatre/drama courses. An interesting read (and I'm someone not reading it for academic purposes) with plenty of detail. Broad as well as deep - and not too long!
Though it took me a long time to finish this wonderful book, I highly recommend this one to anybody who is remotely interested in theater. Ot helped me to clarify a lot of moments concerning this topic
Yeah, so this is one of my textbooks. But I can't do other than delve into it with gusto. It's intriguing. The beginning's like a very cursory intro to the philosophical metaphysics of theatre. <3<3<3
