a solid little book on transits. this is the second transit-focused book i’ve read, after Bernadette Brady’s “Predictive Astrology.” both were written warmly & conversationally, but this one has a more limited focus, and i think that specificity makes it a better overview.
lunsted writes like an editor, so even at its longest points the book doesn’t ramble. she focuses on transits of the planets Mars onwards, pointing out that the inner planets move so fast their effects are harder to notice. she also focuses on the hard aspects (conjunction, square, opposition), which also makes the text easier to follow.
i was so taken by her writing i ordered her two other books before i finished this one. feels american somehow (i suppose compared to all the British astrologers i read), in a way that felt safe & comfortable. she describes her client work with a lot of compassion.
