Truth be told I brought this, as I was flicking through it at a comic con, I saw a story with dinosaurs in it, which immediately meant I had to get it. The premise is a bunch of short comic stories, none more than 8 pages, many just one or two pages, all based around predators. This takes various paths; game hunters, snipers, tigers, serial killers, Spitfire pilots, vampire and werewolves. Ceratosaurus (the reason I got it), zombie soldiers and a mismatch of others.
Overall this was just ok, none of the stories really stood out and there was 35 of them. The stories given had a wide variety, in situations (as mentioned), art styles and types of story whether comedy, thriller or action etc. While some were better than others, others were just lacking, both in story and art. The worse ones were more just simple and bland rather than bad but without the better ones the book would have really suffered.
With the mix of art and genres, it is an interesting read, but without at least a couple of really good tales, the book lacks any real punch. A book to read if at hand, but one to go looking for? No, unfortunately not.
