I have been looking for a book like Prayers at 8:30 for many years. Stan Schmidt does a masterful job of opening doors to insight and discovery in each of these 104 prayers. Originally these prayers were offered by Stan at the request of his choir director to conclude the choir rehearsal at about 8:30 pm. Compiled in this book and accompanied by evocative photographs, the prayers transcend their original context and bring spiritual depth to the one prays them.
