First and foremost, Bob Mcdoogal is an 18+ book. It may be a 21+ book. So if you are offended by kinky, weird, bloody, alien sex or foul language, just skip the rest of this review because this book is not for you. This book IS for someone who wants to laugh out loud. This book is for someone who wants something out of the norm and that you're not going to find anywhere else. It's for people who root for the underdog and aren't surprised when they don't win.

The Rise of Bob Mcdoogal takes us on a journey of an eighteen-year-old boy afflicted with cerebral palsy. His life totally sucks. Then by luck, he gets killed. Oh, that's not the lucky part. He then gets resurrected by the oh-so-fine, Lusha who is a mutant and turns him into one, too. What follows is a funny, sexy, good vs. evil (and sometimes you're not certain which is which), action adventure in several galaxies.

You have to be willing to suspend your idea of known physics and other commonly believed scientific theories to enjoy this book. You can't go in thinking it's all going to make sense and there will be the typical "ah-ha, this is what it's all about" moment. You have to read this book for the fun of it.

So, to recap, If you are easily offended by gratuitous sex and language, read this book. Because I think it would be feakin' hilarious to watch you do it. Just kidding...maybe. For real, if you have even the tiniest of funny bones in your body, Bob Mcdoogal will make you laugh until is fractures. But only if you're old enough to vote...or drink.

This book had me riding a roller coaster throughout the entire book! Bob cracked me up with his thoughts and commentary, while Lusha was the perfect heroine for Bob. There were times when I wanted to laugh out loud and other times when I did. There were times when I blushed during the "Oh My" moments in the story! I just couldn't help it, if only I could have swapped places with Lusha for just a scene or two! ::giggles:: Yes it was not only that exciting during these out of body moments when I wanted to jump into the book but it was totally HOT, HOT, HOT!!! ROFLMSAO

Okay yes the story had it's moments of one moment here the next moment there, and the two main characters the author wrote in first person. That didn't bother me so much for I was able to follow it and know who's POV started and ended where and when. I actually liked getting inside of Lusha's head along with Bob's, needed some moments with the female heroine of the story. lol It was such a fast paced story that it didn't take me long before I was over 75% through the book wondering oh wow, what will happen next, how is this author going to finish off the story. I was not disappointed in the ending... instead was left wanting more of Bob and Lusha wondering what kind of journey the author will take me on with his next book in Bob McDoogal's Series!!!

I did not have any expectations going into this book, and glad for that. If I had I may have been surprised. This is an 18+ book for sure. If you are sensitive to language of any kind, this book is not for you.
That being said, I personally loved it. Laughed my ass off the whole way through. Sad moments yes, but you are not sad for long. Some SUPER HOT sex scenes made this story even more yummy to read! Bob is an eighteen year old young man with CP. He has had a very rough life and lives with his druggie Grams. One night running an errand for her he gets mugged and his whole life changes.
I think J.M. put a great new story together. After you get through the first chapter things start to make more since. It is a little jumpy till then, but that is because Bob also has ADD, so his mind tends to loose focus. I thought it was great, everything fit!
I am a little bummed at the end as I wanted more!!!! I honestly can't wait for book two so I can see what happens next!

With Cerebral Palsy, Bob McDoogal, is a high school misfit. He’s a normal, immature adolescent with a high sex drive in an unfortunate health and home situation. I have to admit by about page 2, I was going to stop reading. This book came off as being coarse, perverse, and juvenile. However, I realized that it wasn’t the story or the writing that made it those things. Rather, it was the character Bob, himself. He was rough, reckless, and raging with hormones.

Of course.

He’s a teenaged boy. Aren’t they all like that? The portrayal of Bob is stunningly accurate in that respect (well, at least of what 16 year old boys are like in my head). It was such an “aha” moment for me that...For full review, please visit http://ravenreviewer.tumblr.com/post/...

Bob McDougal has more problems than your average 17 year old. He has cerebral palsy, a shitty life with two drug addicted ‘grandma’s’, a speech impediment and no friends.

But after being mugged, he is saved and healed by Lusha, an escapee from a medical facility with mutated alien blood. What follows is a crazy ride in a spaceship, aliens, other planets, telepathy, superhuman powers, psychic abilities and lots of alien sex.

Bob’s laugh out loud thoughts are full of teenage attitude and adults only humour. It’s a fun read that‘s fast paced and has lots of unexpected twists. Juan Gutierrez has a unique, enjoyable style that really gets into the mind of a teenager and I will definitely be looking out for future books about Bob McDougal.

Not recommended if you are offended by adult content and swearing.
