Sarah is living in a perfect fairytale any gal would dream of. She is a queen, lives in a beautiful castle, and adores her warrior king. Sarah couldn’t be more thrilled and plans to live ‘happily ever after’. Suddenly, her life takes a drastic turn for the worse, and a horrible event wreaks havoc in her life. As everything comes crashing down around her, she fights to save the ones she loves...no matter what the cost.

Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
1.5 Stars for the book because the author butchered the story line with eye rolling, pukey declarations of love and insulting us with repetitive paragraphs with cringey lines! WORD VOMIT ALERT If I have to read things like: 'I love you, my best friend, my soul mate, when I walked through that portal my life changed so much for the better, you are everything to me, I can't live without you, i've never had love like this before'... 1 MORE TIME I SWEAR I WILL FORGE SOME POWERS OF MY OWN AND FIRE BALL THIS AUTHOR INTO TASTIA!!!
I really wanted to love this book and thought the actual story line was actually ok but the mushy parts and repeated lines ruined it- the book probably would have been 100 pages shorter if she just did a healthy amount of those things- at least she would have gotten 3.5 stars out of me.
This book continues like a year on from the 2nd book- she is learning her immortal powers in Tastia with her King Victor and they are happy yada yada yada... and then the evil Ethanos escapes prison
Most of this review is me complaining about the book. from 13% in to the book I already had a status update, sick of her description of his 'Hard abs' being described over and over again.
However, for a while it gets better because I was sucked into the ritual Ethanos was doing and I thought 'ok, you have my attention again'
The rest of this review is a break down of the book's screw up's so if you DO want to read this drivel still then i'd stop reading from here....
Oh how I wish it was possible to give negative ratings! I knew I should have stopped ten pages in when the author treated me with "There was an eternal fire burning between us, and I knew that flame would never die." When I read that, I had to put the book down for the rest of the night. I should have never picked it back up. Giving up ten pages in would have saved me some valuable time I could have spent, oh, I don't know, gouging my eyes out. Which, I would have to say, sounds significantly less painful than reading this slop. I wised up about halfway through and put this one away for good. I felt like I was gagging on all that cheese whenever they talk to each other! They don't even have to be talking about anything romantic! "Oh, hey, Victor! I'm dropping off some timber in the water closet. I love you so much, you're my soul mate. Life had no meaning before I met you. Everything was so dark until you brought life into my world. Lets sex." NO. NO MORE. Another issue: Sarah and her inability to concentrate. They're hanging out in some rain and she's all "I wish he'd trust me more and tell me about his past." Then moves on. Two pages later, they're talking about something COMPLETELY UNRELATED and she's all "Maybe someday he'll open up to me and tell me about his past." And don't even get me started on the emotional garbage you get dragged through for about 30 pages. Gag me with a spoon. Shit happens. Move on. You know, I liked Victor in the first book. He was a jackass. And I thought he was the bad guy, so naturally I expected him to be infinitely more interesting than any of the other characters. NOPE. He's just as ridiculous as Sarah. If I was dating someone who wouldn't stop giving me disgustingly over the top compliments every five minutes, I would find some way to deafen myself. As terrible as this book is, I deserve it. I was the one who decided to keep reading the series after the colossal waste of time that was the first book. Train wreck syndrome, maybe?
I was so excited to see Eternal Fire out and got it straight away. The story takes off right where we left off in Book 2. King Victor and Sarah are together and very much in love. Now that Sarah's an Immortal, they know they have to work on her powers so she's prepared in the likely event of an attack.
Sarah loves her new powers and she's having a great time learning to use them with her husband by her side. Unfortunately their contentment doesn't last for long. Ethano is back with a vengeance. He breaks into the castle and marks Sarah. And now something's happening to their bond, putting their lives in their enemies' hands.
Without giving away the plot, let's just say I barely skimmed the surface and a lot more than this is happening.
I love this series and the way the author keeps the readers guessing. I didn't know a lot about the plot when I got it and I'm glad I didn't spoil it. The pacing was a mixture of adventure and mystery, interspersed with romance. I adore the way the author shows her characters' emotions. King Victor is caring, protective, handsome, and very much in love with Sarah. While Sarah is feisty and very funny. It's a great and refreshing mixture.
I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book, glued to my screen to read what happens next, and now I can't wait for the next installment to come out. A fantastic read that I'd definitely recommend Eternal Fire to all paranormal romance and fantasy readers.
I liked this book!! It was a good love story I don't wanna give anything away but for those of you who enjoy a love story with action this is a great series.... The only problem I have is that I have to wait for a fourth book to this series I hate waiting :( but I will wait the author did a good job with this book!!
It definitely keeps the story going. The direction is quite unexpected. Yet, I feel like little was resolved or explained in this book. To me it felt like the middle of a book. I still enjoyed it. Now I just have to decide if I want to purchase the next one. The others I clicked buy immediately. I'm hesitant now. We shall see. Worth a read.
This book was very entertaining with the time travel into the past on another planet? It had romance, with lots of adventure with romance and fighting for your life. Helping people survive in harsh daily life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Eternal Fire lets readers enjoy a brief taste of Sarah’s happily-ever-after... before yanking the rug out from under her. The emotional gut-punch hits hard as tragedy and betrayal crash through her perfect world. Sarah’s vulnerability is raw here, and Victor’s devotion is one of the book’s strongest emotional anchors. The fairytale sheen fades into something darker and more grounded, which works well for this stage of the series. The shift in tone gives the story more weight, and the emotional stakes feel more personal than ever. Peebles finds her stride with the blend of love, loss, and fight.
So im going to be honestly I was only able to read most of the book except like the last chapter or 2, so I may be missing a big chunk of what announces the next book however goodness so much happens in this one book. Their bond if broken, The bad guy tries to kill Sarah and Liz, the bad guy takes out most of the countries and takes them under his control and throughout all this Sarah is lost in grief for thinking her husband is gone and then releif to find out it was a trick and he is alive and that she is pregnant. To find out that if she doesn't go back home to her 1st world then she will die as well as her husband and the evil guy will raise their child ot do evil as well and be a destroyer. Then come her having to go and save her husband, and is able to in a nick of time, to living back in her world and trying to help her husband assimilate and on top of it all, something is wrong with her. Her power is taking its toll and she is looking her powers to keep her safe, which I think is from that start he evil guy placed on her to his damn ritual. I am excited to read the next book to see what is wrong with her and how she is cured!

The third book in the series. I gave it a go because I hoped that the series would improve. It didn't.
The supposed death of Victor and all the "I just can't live without him" nonsense went on for pages and pages and pages. With that, and all the "I love you", "You're so amazing" etc I must have skipped three quarters of the book.
I'm not sure if the author is intentionally strecthing the series out or if she is unaware at how repetitive she is, but with the above and being told / reminded of previous plot points so many times, I think that there was only about 5% of original story in this book.
That 5% was really great, but it was too low an amount to interest me in reading further books in this series.
The author has some great concepts and ideas, they are just poorly executed.
UGH...These books kept getting worse and I finally called it quits more than halfway though the third book. The author seriously needs to edit her word vomit. I can not believe that these girls found men who would put up with the ridiculous things they say ALL THE TIME and think that their shit doesn't stink.
As if the dialogue wasn't enough the story line was totally absurd. OH! It just so happens there is a prophecy about two sisters that I just remembered! And oh yeah! there's also one about your son that just popped into my head! Oh by the way, the shoe your wearing is magical!(Well is could have happened if I had read further...)
Congratulations on being the only book that I have EVER rated 1 star and wish I could have rated it lower.
The series of Eternal continues with Sarah adjusting to her role as Queen learning how to control her powers as an immortal. When of course out of the blue comes ..the bad guy to ruin the day and boy does he. So after faking the death of her husband the bad guy wants to kill Sarah but ...danta da ... something happens that makes him even more elated to keep her around. She escapes but finds out that her husband is still alive and well and they ( her sister and her ) find a way to spring him from the grasp of the bad guy. Then they escape back to her world with the help of a witch. Here they encounter new trouble with adjusting for the guys and readjusting for the girls. . . Plus a new types of immortal of the new world?! hmmmm
By far the worst in the ruby ring series. The first two, though not exceptionally written, flowed with a fun, suspenseful air that was easy to follow, yet not always predictable. This installment, however, was like sifting through emotional vomit. If the author had simply stuck to the bones of her storyline, which was better than the first two, she would have had an amazing third book. So, though I give it only 1 star for the simple reason that 90% of the words used were unnecessary, I did like the plot, and would like to see where it goes from here.
I didn't like this one as much. The story switched into first person (as opposed to third in the first two books) and I found that I didn't like hearing what was going on in Sarah's head. She annoyed me to say the least. I felt like this book was quickly written. There were many errors and repetition. Mostly sexy this and sexy that, as well as dropping I love you's every ten seconds. I'm disappointed because I enjoyed the first two books so much.
I really wanted to love this book...especially since I adored the other two. The story itself was good, but I feel as if a lot of the mushy could've been taken out & it would've made a lovely novella as an in between book.
I liked this book, but it covered a wide berth in the plot. Not only do they have issues in the medieval world, they escape only to run into problems in California. I liked the longer story but it was a lot in one book. No real complaint because I'm really falling for this series.
Yes, the reading fire is still on-going~ But sometimes I hope the author would spare me from some emotional ride...but nevertheless, I can't tear my eyes away from this whole series! Love it to bits! >//u//<
I went NOOO! when Victor died. OMG the fact that they came to the modern world was amazing XD I wanna see Charles and Victor in reality =D Who the fk are the Immortals targeting them now? And Ethanos reaction wen she kissed him? XD classic.
This was a fun read. It was frustrating in the beginning, but about a third of the way in it pitched up and fixed the biggest problem. This is PG13 in the romance department and focuses on that aspect a little too much. However, it was overall enjoyable and I look forward to the next one.
