The day lady lost her spots is a great book for children under the age of 6or7 I gave this book to my ten and seven year old children my seven year old loved it my ten year old said it was funny and cute and that she would read it again
This short book for children is, at first glance, simply a story book. Upon closer consideration, I realized it actually contains a lesson whereby young children will learn on their own that bathing is an important part of life. They may even become excited about the prospect of taking their next bath!
So instead of being just "a story book", it now is a story with an object lesson to help children learn about personal hygiene. This would actually be an exceptional choice to read the little ones when bath time is rapidly approaching. If nothing else, it should cut down on the arguing!
This is a cute story. Children should enjoy it. Parents should be happy to have some help convincing the kids they need to take their baths. So if your children - or grandchildren - are reluctant bathers, I would highly recommend you pick up a copy of this book. The author, Lily Lexington, has written other books which help support parents as they raise their offspring, while simultaneously entertaining the children.
I'd give this 3.5 stars if that was an option. So if the 3 star rating scares you away, go ahead and bump it up to 4 stars in your head; I won't be offended! This is a book you should have on your child's bookshelf.
This book is a basic introduction to a study of the solar system. The author provides definitions of astronomy astronauts, galaxies, meteors and moons. There are simple photos of these as well as the planets in our solar system. This book is targeted for ages five through eight or three to seven according to amazon; I feel it is better identified with the three to seven age group. Older children may want to move on to more detailed information.
Recommended for parents, teachers and librarians reading to little ones eager to learn the basics. Good first step to building a future library on the solar system.
Too cute! :) Toddler books are always designed to teach the little ones simple life lessons. This book definitely delivers on that front, but with a surprising twist; not the usual sort of lesson being conveyed, but it was an valid one nonetheless. The adorable illustrations really won me over!
Cute book about a lady bug who loses her spots. She enlists her friend Crunch to help find them in time for the big party that night. The reader accompanies them on their search, and the spots turn up exactly where they were supposed to be. Adorable book for a reluctant bather.
