Maxine (Max) is young and attractive. Her career is on the up; she comes across as a confident go-getter. Her love life though is non-existent. Apparently, she isn't very good at sex - that's according to her last boyfriend who said she was frigid. When she first meets Tom Jewell, a sculptor, she dislikes him with a passion. He's a pompous idiot who is full of himself and his 'art'. So what if he's hot? She has no interest in him.
