Although this is a history of events, it's a personal history, with the various sections being individuals describing what happened since they were actually there and participating in the events. The personal involvement always makes things more interesting.

The book includes the following entries: Tragedy in the China Sea; The Fall of Singapore; Bamboo Doctor; Wake Island Command; Ferdinand on Hollandia; Raid on Singapore; Action at the Pigpen; The Caves of Biak; Raid on Balikpapan; Coral Comes High; The Northern Front in Burma; Blackpool Block; Okinawa; The Gallant Fight of the Radar Pickets; Abandon Ship; The Great White Light. Small additional materials are included in each section.

Combat: The War With Japan (Mass Market Paperback)

This book showed the U.S. perspective of the war between Japan, and as Japanese I kind of felt guilty and not really good, but I did love reading because my favorite part of history is somewhere around 1870-1950.
Abd this book was exactly at the part I really love in history.
I think reading this book help me understand the perspective of war from the other people from totally other country in the Earth and that was interesting.
This book is a non-fiction book which I can't believe because the story was so well made better most of the fiction novel about war or something with a close topic with war.
And I think author of this book is really good at writing story.
So I gained 2 knowledge from this book.
War, and Writing.
