Gabrielle Willis is smart. She's funny. And oh yes, she's a bit klutzy.

When Gabrielle left sunny California bound for the energy of Manhattan, she was willingly leaving the life she had known for the new life she would create. But was she really leaving something behind or was she running away?

On the outside, Gabrielle Willis had it all under control. A new life in Manhattan, a great roommate, and a good job. But she was haunted. Haunted by a memory she'd tried to forget and by a family who'd abandoned her.

Enter Dane Rhodes. He was gorgeous, smart, and sexy as hell. Just what Gabby wanted, or so she thought. But when she met Brad Dixon, the sweet guy with the crooked smile, he began to make her see that the very thing she was trying to run from, was the very thing that just might push her to see the light.

5 stars!!!

I cannot remember when was the last time I read a book with a smile permanently attached to my face!

I have a million highlights in my book because I loved every second line of it!

This book was sad, then totally funny, witty and so so sweet!!

"There's no time limit on grief. Breathe it, feel it, let it seep into you. When you're ready, and only when you're ready, you’ll be able to let it go. And even then, it will stay with you, somewhere in a part of your soul."

Gabby loved a boy named Clark- her high school sweetheart. Her dream come true, he was everything she wanted, the kind of boy who gave her butterflies everytime she saw him..

Gabby...

When they graduated from college after 7 years of dating, Clark proposes to Gabby and she couldn't be more happy...

Until that happiness was Sadly taken away from her... Clark dies in a car accident and Gabby's dream becomes a memory..

"it’s getting harder and harder to remember. I don’t want the memory; I want Clark."

Now 3 years later Gabby moves to New York City- to move on to the city that never sleeps.

"I wonder why anyone would go looking for love in a bar. I mean, let’s be real, this isn’t the place to find the key to your heart. The key to your vagina, maybe."

But Gabby never forgets, she can't forget...

"I can’t help it! I loved him so much, and I miss him. Every damn day…I miss him. I fffucking hate love Fran, I just fffucking hate it. I hate the way it smells, the way it tastes, the way it gives you those itchy little goosebumps, the way people walk around with those ridiculous happy smiles.”

Gabby is sweet, funny and a bit of a klutz!

Working for a great firm Gabby has the same boring life- one morning instead of going to her normal Starbucks for coffee she decides to change and goes to a local coffee shop- where she meets the coffee guy Brad. His really sweet to her especially after she drops her coffee all over the register on her first meeting!

Brad-

A chance meeting on the street, Gabby sees the most beautifully hot sexy man! Dane- he is the type that when u look at him desire fills you.

"I take a moment to really look at him. Everything is hazy; well, except for one thing. His lips. Pink, lush, full. There’s only one thing on my mind. Kissing them. Scratch that. I want to plunge my tongue into the farthest depths of his succulent mouth. Suddenly, my life's mission is to become an explorer."

It so happens that Dane is a client from Gabby's firm and she ends up seeing him. And by seeing him I mean
--->Sleeping with him minus the sleeping! Fcuking him..

That's all Gabby needs after all she's already given her heart away along time ago- until she starts having conversations with Brad every morning at the coffee shop.

Brad is sweet and kind and makes her laugh. His her superhero :)

Going to the movies, hanging out, morning coffee's....

Gabby realises she has feelings for Brad and doesn't know what to do.

"Disappointment in a family I wish could have been different. Disappointment in a guy who gave me exactly what I wanted. But most of all, disappointment in myself for finally wanting to feel something."

Have great sex with Dane? Or have Brad?
Dane needs to go! Good thing because he is a dooooooosh!

"His eyes finally settle on me and he gives me that panty-dropping smile. Unfortunately for him, I don’t want to drop my panties anymore."

"Images of Clark’s face are flooding my brain and I can’t make them stop. My hands are shaking and tears are streaming down my face like raindrops falling from an angry sky. The faster I walk, the quicker they fall. All the tears I’ve cried for Clark over the years are pounding down on me, overwhelming me. When I finally look up, I’m standing in front of The Brew House."

The constant struggle with her feelings..

"I feel a hand on mine. A warm hand. A feeling hand. And I feel things. Things I'm not supposed to feel. Things I can't allow myself to feel. It's like his fingers are strumming my heartstrings; pulling, plucking, twisting, and I'm helpless. Completely and utterly helpless. I know I need to pull away, but I can’t."
"There’s a softness in Brad’s eyes when he looks at me. It’s almost as if he’s trying to melt away my sadness. His fingers touch the side of my cheek, and for a second, the pain melts away. The disappointment melts away. The world melts away."

Brad gets HER- the girl who is a klutz and wears converse sneakers, he makes her laugh and makes her FEEL again...

"Brad, what on earth are you doing here?”

"He grabs my hand, his touch making me tremble. “I told you. I want to dance with you.”

"“ Here?” I gesture to the crowded New York sidewalk."

"Suddenly, I feel vulnerable, like he can see inside my heart, and I’m not sure I’m ready for him to see that much of me. I lean my forehead back against his and enjoy the rest of our very first dance together, silently hoping that it won’t be our last."

So many moments which make you want to ****SWOOOON*****

Brad is the sweetest guy ever, she opens up to him about her mom and family and Clark... and in he tells her about the loss of his family.

"I don’t know, Gabby. We’re all damaged, right? It’s what we make of the wreckage that matters."

Two broken people put together... Like two half's of a whole...

"Have you ever been kissed by a superhero before?” My mouth won’t move, so I simply shake my head back and forth. His eyes are burning up my lips as he breathes, “because you’ve never been truly kissed until you’ve been kissed by a superhero.”"

"With a small gasp and a hoarse voice, I strangle out a reply. “Will it be life-changing?”

"He dangles his lips over mine. “Oh yes, life as you know it will never be the same.”

Gabby wants to be with Brad....

"I’ve tried to keep living on the edge; I’ve tried to be the one with no emotion. But when I think of Brad, that’s the only thing I want. I want emotion. I want to feel. Everything about him draws me in, and I find myself wanting more."

"My God, you have no idea how much I want to be with you, or how long I’ve wanted you. I’m so hard for you right now it’s driving me insane. I want nothing more than to bury myself inside you and sit in between your thighs all night long. But I want all of you. I want your body and your heart, and I won’t accept anything less. I want the whole of you, Gabby.”"

And She's scared... Scared to loose it all again.
So she pushes Brad away...

Through the laughs, smiles, hugs, kisses and tears with the help of her awesome friend Fran Gabby gets everything she thought she could never have again..

"Time stands still until we pull back, lost of breath, but full of life."

I was smitten with this book! It is truly awesome!!!!!
Beth you are amazing!!!
I was in a book rut and nothing was wowing me,but you changed that with this book! So you might be my hero!
I can't wait for more stories from you!

Well, this was just perfect for a weekend read. Sweet as candy. But some sad parts too. I usually love my bad-ass alpha males but Brad was such a sweetheart. Really nice story where you will have a silly grin on your face for most of the book.

"You’re it for me, Gabby. There will never be anyone else. I don’t want anyone else. I want to wake up to every single sunrise with you, and at the end of my day, I want you to be my sunset."

Mondays suck. Why can’t we have a three day weekend?

"I’ve been waiting my whole life for your kiss."

"It’s never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder; it’s never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter …."

"It’s just life, right?"

"I’m not going to let you walk out of my life. You don’t freaking get it! I was dead inside before I met you. You awakened something in me, and if you think I’m letting you walk out of my life, you’re a lot more insane that I am."

"Please don’t give up on us."

… let yourself feel, let yourself love, be happy.

Please God ….. Don’t do this to me again.

You awakened me. I was unfulfilled.

"I already have my guardian angel."

"It’s not your fault."

"Gabby, you didn’t hurt me. Your love is what saved me."

FRAN…. The perfect …

”Thank you.” She says.
“For what?”
“For being the one to hold my heart.

"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever"

Love Love was a SWEET, FLUFFY, FUNNY, love story. It was just the kind of book I was looking for to cure my rotten mood :) The book starts out with Gabby, 25, interior decorator and still grieving over her fiance who passed away 3 years prior. She wants love, but doesn't think there is anyone out there for her. She then meets hot, rich, sexy Dane. He becomes her no-strings, rebound, strictly sex guy.(ok by me) Next, we meet cute, adorable, kind, dimpled Brad (i love him). Brad is the owner of The Brew House, and is also Gabby's love interest..... only she doesn't know it yet. You just have to read it to find out who she ends up with...my lips are sealed!! I LOVED Gabby's CLUMSINESS, HUMOR, WIT, KINDNESS, and her CANDY/COFFEE ADDICTION. I strongly recommend reading this if you're in between books or just looking for something sweet and refreshing.
*WARNING* There was a few sad parts, so please have some kleenex on standby....but in the end you will be smiling!!!

Some of my favorite lines:
"I notice that the lovely breeze has blown my skirt up to declare my ass available for public viewing."

"I didn't tell her about the orgasm I practically had right on the street, or that my panties almost disintegrated the moment I saw him."

"I'm in the bathroom at the coffee house, and the toilet is backed up and won't flush. GREAT, now the next person is going to think I left this shit in the toilet."

"I burst out laughing and the spaghetti flies out of my mouth and lands on my mother's new blouse. Brilliant"

We're both looking for something

We've been afraid to find

It's easier to be broken

It's easier to hide

Looking at you, holding my breath

For once in my life I'm scared to death

I'm taking a chance, letting you inside

I'm feeling alive all over again

As deep as the sky under my skin

Like being in love, she said, for the first time

Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right

Where I belong with you tonight

Like being in love to feel for the first time

The world that I see inside you

Waiting to come to life

Waking me up to dreaming

Reality in your eyes

Looking at you, holding my breath

For once in my life I'm scared to death

I'm taking a chance, letting you inside

I'm feeling alive all over again

As deep as the sky under my skin

Like being in love, she said, for the first time

Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right

Where I belong with you tonight

Like being in love to feel for the first time

We're crashing

Into the unknown

We're lost in this

But it feels like home

I'm feeling alive all over again

As deep as the sky under my skin

Like being in love, she said, for the first time

Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right

Where I belong with you tonight

Like being in love to feel for the first time

Like being in love she said for the first time

Like being in love to feel for the first time

"For being the ONE to hold my HEART."

I can always tell when I love a book, as I just can't put it down and I finish it within 24 hours......yes this was one of those books. It was also one of those books that left me with a big cheesy grin on my face and a warm, content feeling in my heart. it was a feel good book, a sweet, romantic, slightly cheesy at times (hence the 4 not 5 stars) but overall very entertaining and engaging read.

Ive been in a bit of a book funk after recently having my first DNF. i just needed a book that would excite me, pull me in, offer me romance, some hot steamy erotic action, but with an engaging story line to go alongside it. This one was recommended by my good friend Lili and I'm so glad I listened to her because it really was just what I needed to pull me out of my recent book stupor. I could escape into the story, fall in love with the characters and get a little got under the collar at the same time.

I would definitely recommend this one for those of you that need a sweet, romantic love story, that offers steam as well as a decent storyline!!!

If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would use it. This book deserves every shining mark.

I LOVED IT!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

 photo Heartgif_zpse920b6c1.gif

The blurb is at the top of this page for your reading pleasure so I won't include it. Instead I'll tell you how I felt.

Being inside of Gabby's head is funny, emotional, heart breaking, confusing and exactly as it would be if you were listening to the thoughts of a woman in her twenties with the life Gabby has lived. I started out crying in the prologue to laughing out loud through the first chapter and then experienced every emotion in between throughout the rest of the book.

You know how during your everyday life how you do or see silly little things that make you laugh, but you don't tell anyone because it's one of those- you had to be there- moments? Well that is how the humor is in this book. In "Love Love" you get to experience all of those sweet and simple yet hilarious moments with Gabby. I dare you not to laugh out loud when you read this book.

Now, Gabby has had her heart wrecked. Not just by a boy, but by her parents, her sister, and pretty much everyone in her life who should have been there to love her, and keep her happy. But for Gabby, all of those people were absent by either fate, or by choice. Unable to cope with those feelings, and the guilt she holds at the prospect of being happy in the midst of such heartbreak, she clings to the predictablitly of going through the motions. The only constant in her life is her best friend Fran. Fran is hilarious, outrageous, snarky and simply wonderful!! Unfortuately, she also has some demons in her past. Together, Fran and Gabby try to navigate through life and love and happiness. Their stories are both devastating and beautiful.

 photo CryingGif_zps0e9d0c3b.gif

Gabby is trying to just make it through life with her best friend Franny, but after three long years of going through the motions she finally decides to do SOMETHING, anything that will break her out of the monotony of her life. In some weird twist of fate this is when she meets Dane AND when she meets Brad. Dane is sexy and charming and rich and makes her body hum to life from the second she lays eyes on him. Dane also looks like just the thing to shake up Gabby's life a little which is exactly what she wants. Brad, is quirky, sweet, adorable, and REAL, but maybe a little too real for her fragile soul. Dane may be lust at first sight, but the more Gabby looks, it seems that Brad may be love at second glance. Dane and Brad both bring long lost parts of Gabby she never thought she would see before, but only one of them gives them back her heart.

I won't give too much away but my panties melted all over the floor and my heart floated down into my stomach and fluttered around with between these two sexy men. The heat and the romance are perfect in this book, and symbolic in a way that fits the story perfectly. What I love about this book is that although the sex is frequent and hot like in all of our favorite books, it shows the difference between having sex, and making love. Both are physically satisfying, but only one is truly fulfilling. Simply beautiful.

 photo Swoongif_zpsc23e1aa4.gif

 photo dancinggif_zpsedddd3b1.gif

How does Gabby get past everything she has been through? How does she choose between two such different yet such seemingly perfect men? Well, in the end it's very simple, she only needs to ask herself one question.

 photo AreyouHappy_zps0151e054.gif

This book is refreshing and unique and full of life lessons and lessons of the heart. I urge anyone who loves to watch characters grow and overcome. On one last note...

Watch out bad boys...NICE GUYS DO IT BETTER :) ♥

“Dear Gabby,
It’s been fifteen days of no special coffee for you. I was afraid you might be going through withdrawal. Although it can’t be nearly as bad as the withdrawal I’m going through without you. I miss you, baby.
Brad”

What can I say? I'm in love with Brad. He's on top of my list of book boyfriends, the most romantic and poetic of them all. I'm not going to write a review and go into details, you just need to read the book and meet him. Just to give you a taste here are my favourite Brad quotes:

“It’s almost like you opened up a window that I’ve been banging against for so long…screaming and clawing and trying to get out. Yet, that day you walked into my shop, you simply opened the latch and I poured out. Every bit of my heart and soul was exposed. I wasn’t scared. I’m not scared with you.”

-----------

“You’re not ready for me yet, as much as I wish like hell you were. But I’m patient. I’d wait forever to be the one who gets to hold your heart.”.

-----------

“I spy with my little eye, something that is so beautiful, it leaves me breathless."

Swallowing hard, I take a deep breath and answer, "Trump Towers?" When I turn my head to look at him, I see serious brown eyes staring back at me.

"Nope... you.”

----------

“I’ve been wondering something all night.” My eyes go wide. “Have you ever been kissed by a superhero before?” My mouth won’t move, so I simply shake my head back and forth. His eyes are burning up my lips as he breathes, “because you’ve never been truly kissed until you’ve been kissed by a superhero.”

10+ AMAZING BRILLIANT STARS… This Book consumed me right from the Prologue. WOW! This is an achingly beautiful, heart wrenching book about getting a second chance at love and with a wonderfully sweet HEA that tugged at ALL my heart strings!! This book 100% made me Heart Happy at the end.

“But sometimes, I feel like something's missing, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. That little something extra. Excitement. A challenge. An adventure. Maybe I should bungee jump off of the empire state building or run naked in central park. Nah, that would just be plain crazy, and I'd get arrested. That wouldn't end up well. Unless there was a hot guy dressed in a uniform fingerprinting me. Then it might just be worth it.”

Gabby I LOVED Gabby. She was sweet, she was passionate, her thoughtfulness, the way she cares about other people, the way she appreciates life. She has a beautiful soul. Her beautifully damaged self walking through life living in a shell. She has her best friend Fran and with both of their pasts that truly are made to be best friend and they both lean on each other’s shoulders throughout the whole book. Although they do get into some great banter back and forth and they even cuss each other out a lot , they stick my each other through the whole story.

A lot of people have been asking me if this is a love triangle I can tell you without a doubt it is NOT . yes there are two men involved in the story , but there is no love triangle at all.

One day Dane Rhodes enters her life. He's gorgeous, smart, and sexy as hell. Just what Gabby wants, or so she thinks. I liked Dane at first , then as I got to know him I disliked him. There was just something about him that rubbed me wrong AND man does my gut always know best… I think Dane helped Gabby to re-discover herself. He helped her to start coming out of her shell. That was all he was good for lol .

“His touch does strange things to me. It makes me feel things. Things I'm not supposed to feel. Things I can't allow myself to feel. It's like his fingers are strumming my heartstrings, pulling, plucking, twisting, and I'm helpless. Completely and utterly helpless.”

Brad Dixon , Sweet , caring Coffee shop owner. He is sooo Swoon worthy it is insane . Gabby knew he was something special and she kept going back to be near him . He knows what love truly is for sure. He was so romantic, so sweet, so caring. I LOVE LOVE how the friendship that him and Gabby shared developed into an amazing romance and relationship. I Absolutely LOVED all the superhero references they were so funny. 100% added to my Book Boyfriends list. He swooned me every time he said something. I LOVED HIM so much I had 95% of my review with quotes from him and trimmed it down to not spoil it all for you. You truly need to experience Brad and get the whole of him , then you will love love him as much as I do.

“I’m sure you can. But you never know when my superhero powers might come in handy.” “Superhero powers?” His dimple returns. “Yup.” “What types of powers are we talking about?” “I can’t tell you that. A superhero never reveals his secrets.” “I see. So I have to trust that should the need arise, these so-called powers will make themselves known.” “Absolutely.”

I love how the chemistry between Brad and Gabby was worked into and they were not just thrown into a relationship. Their love for each other actually GREW , and it was an amazing journey with these two amazing people. It makes your heart Happy to watch these two grow in their relationship.

“My God, you have no idea how much I want to be with you, or how long I’ve wanted you. I’m so hard for you right now it’s driving me insane. I want nothing more than to bury myself inside you and sit in between your thighs all night long. But I want all of you. I want your body and your heart, and I won’t accept anything less. I want the whole of you, Gabby.” His hand finds my face in the darkness, and he holds me in place. The moonlight is shining in his eyes. “You’re not ready for me yet, as much as I wish like hell you were. But I’m patient. I’d wait forever to be the one who gets to hold your heart.” He kisses me like I haven’t been kissed in a long time, feeling his every word with his every breath. Breaking away, I go back to resting my head on his chest, and he kisses my hair and whispers, “goodnight.”

One last thing , READ this book , you will not be disappointed at all. You will fall in LOVE LOVE with Brad and Gabby trust me.

His breath is blowing on my lips like a soft breeze as he whispers, “I’ve been wondering something all night.” My eyes go wide. “Have you ever been kissed by a superhero before?” My mouth won’t move, so I simply shake my head back and forth. His eyes are burning up my lips as he breathes, “because you’ve never been truly kissed until you’ve been kissed by a superhero.”
With a small gasp and a hoarse voice, I strangle out a reply. “Will it be life-changing?”
He dangles his lips over mine. “Oh yes, life as you know it will never be the same.”

Beth , Thank you so much for the chance to read and review your awesome debut novel. I am grateful also for the shout out in the beginning of the book as well <3. I can not wait to read what you write next :)

I have a soft spot when it comes to books with damaged characters. Okay, admittedly it may be considered more of an addiction. I love to read about heartache and how a person who is beaten and broken can pull themselves together and rise above.

Gabby is broken in a heart-wrenching way. After she loses a piece of her life, and herself, she moves cross-country to start over. Or so she believes. Really Gabby has become numb, living her life just to live it.

When she accidentally stumbles upon Brad, something stirs inside of Gabby. He's sweet and funny, and there's something about his easygoing lifestyle that draws her in. And then there's Dane, barging into her life with his bright green eyes and killer body. He's sexy and successful, and he happens to be interested in her.

But what Gabby really needs more than anything right now is a friend. Someone to pick up the pieces and help her place them back together. Someone that can help her begin to heal her damaged heart before she can find love again.

I LOVE LOVED this book! Beth Michele made me feel Gabby's pain, her desire to move on with her life, and her reluctance to let go of the past. For anyone who has ever lost a loved one, this story will pull at your heartstrings. Captivating and emotional with laugh out loud moments, Love Love drew me in and enchanted me until the last page.

I have to mention a side character, Gabby's best friend and roommate, Fran. I loved her so much! I connected with Fran on a personal level and adored her quirky sense of humor, as well as her hunger for the opposite sex.

Overall, this was a truly amazing read that gave me what I look for in a good book--sweet romance with a HEA.

Other than a few small teasers, I went into this book completely blind.
The blurb is interesting, but gives nothing away at whats to come on this beautiful journey of self discovery.

Gabrielle Willis is living her life the same way every day with no deviation. Work, eat chocolate/candy, sleep, repeat. It's monotonus, boring and unfulfilling.
She plays it safe with everything, unsure that if she veers from the norm, something will happen that is out of her comfort zone. This has been the easiest way to get through the last 3 years of her
life, without drama and emotionional attachments.
Gabby is instantly likeable and someone that we can easily relate to. She is a girl after my own heart with her coffee and chocolate obsessions, she is also
super clumsy and finds herself in the most embarrasing situations, reall, OMG moments, but totally hilarious. You can imagine yourself being right there and laughing with her.

I could feel Gabbys' pain, she was totally torn in two. One half really wanted to move on and get out of the pit of depression that she has been living in for years.
But, the other half feels guilt at wanting to move on and just isn't ready to let go yet.
But, there's only so long you can live, feeling hollow and not allowing any happiness in your life for fear of it being taken away and it takes a few
situations for Gabby to wake up and 'smell the coffee'.
Her kickass, best friend Fran does her best to take the conservative nature out of Gabby and replace it with someone who embraces life and her inner siren.
Fran is her best friend of 15 years, so knows the hurt she has suffered from multiple angles, but desperately encourages her to move on, find love and above all love yourself.
Fran is not without emotional baggage, but this friendship is one that had stood the test of time and is the kind that can help heal the scars of the past. After all, friends are the family we choose for ourselves.

As much as we all need a best friend, they don't heat your sheets at night! What Gabby needs is to get back on the horse!!!
Dane Rhodes, the man with the green eyes, a super silky voice and a body that would be suited to a bronzed god, might just be the one to help her get one foot in the stirrup.
He's a little arrogant, alot sexy and has wealth to boot.

Then theres the Brad with the shaggy hair, adorable dimple and killer smile. This modest man, has a huge heart and cheeky sense of humor and seems to be perfect.

Oh decisions, decisions!!

"Will it be life-changing?" He dangles his lips over mine "Oh yes, life as you know it will never be the same"

With one, she experiences mindblowing, claw at your sheets, animal sex.
With the other, she experiences an intense connection, a beautiful friendship and possibly True love.

He has officially climbed into another corner of my heart, curled up into a ball, and settled there!

A beautiful story, of Love, Heartbreak, Love, Friendship, did i say Love?!!!
4.5 - 5 moccachinotastic stars!!!!

4.5 Stars!

What a pleasant surprise this little diddy was!!! Finally after a string of duds I found a really good book!!!

The whole book just made me so happy....it was a real feel good book!

Love Love is the story of Gabby. After tragedy strikes, she leaves sunny California for the hustle and bustle of NY...looking to start over? Move on? Forget? Run from her past?

Gabby is an assistant at an interior design firm. Every workday morning starts with a cup of coffee. Gabby's days are all the same....get up, go to work, come home, repeat. One morning she decides to change things up and hit the new coffee shop instead of her usual Starbucks! There she meets Brad Dixon! Brad....

Brad and Gabby become friends. Gabby also soon meets Dane Rhodes. Dane was sex on a stick. He was yummy. Gabby felt an instant attraction to him. She runs in to him a few more times, with Dane eventually asking her out. Their relationship is based on sex. That is all Gabby wants right now after her tragic past and Dane gives her exactly what she wants and needs.

Gabby and Brad continue to develop a strong friendship and eventually Gabby decides she wants more. But not with Dane....with Brad. Brad makes her feel things that she thought she never would again. He makes her believe that maybe it is possible to love again. Gabby and Brad's relationship developed perfectly. I absolutely loved Brad...he was so kind and sweet and caring towards Gabby.

“His touch does strange things to me. It makes me feel things. Things I'm not supposed to feel. Things I can't allow myself to feel. It's like his fingers are strumming my heartstrings, pulling, plucking, twisting, and I'm helpless. Completely and utterly helpless.”

This book was full of swoon worthy moments, aww moments, sad moments, happy moments, sexy moments...it had it all. I started the book smiling and ended the book smiling! I definitely recommend this book and will be on the lookout for more from the author!

Thank you Beth for pulling me out of my book slump!

This book is fabulous! Loved loved it! Pun intended. Gabby tragically lost her boyfriend of 7 years, Clark. It was a beautiful relationship. The short amount of story you get regarding Clark, you just know they were great together, completely in love. Fast forward 3 years and Gabby has moved across the country to New York along with her BFF Fran. Fran, she's hilarious and absolutely amazing!

Gabby has met Dane, gorgeous, sexual, career driven and frankly kind of vain and a bit "douchey" for my taste. She begins a sexual relationship with Dane, but after hot sex, she feels empty?? WTF right? OH, and wait until you find out what a real asshole he is! FUCK HIM!!

There's also Brad, totally adorable guy from the coffee shop. He's funny, goregous, and thinks her clumsiness is adorable. She spills her latte all over his cash register and he thinks she's cute! They begin a friendship, because Gabby doesnt date, at least that's what she tells herself. Slowly but surely, her heart starts to open, and something happens that hasnt happened in three years......Gabby is excited to feel. Brad makes her smile, laugh, he's patient and kind. Gabby is getting butteflies again, which reminds her of Clark. How do you get over the absolute love of your life? You can't. Not fully.
Gabby isn't quite sure what to do with herself. Moving on SOUNDS great, but doesn't that mean moving on from Clark? Leaving his memory behind? Because she is so desperately trying to hold on to any memories of him. His sight, his touch, his smell. Everything. My heart breaks for her loss and sadness. Gabby starts to backpeddle and does something SOOOOOO stupid. Luckily, Brad knew what she was up to, and the great guy that he was, treaded lightly and showed Gabby he was there for her. Something awful happens to Brad, which throws Gabby into the worst feeling, De ja vu....... but wait for it......she doesnt have to go through that loss again!! YAYYYYYYYY!!

Gabby deserved a god damned happy ending. She's had shitty parents who never accepted her, always critisizing. A sister who acted like a bitch. But she had Fran, who was the glue in her life. Fran was absolutely hilarious, and I loved her dirty humor. Definitely some laugh out loud moments. Then she realized she had Ben, and though the journey was a bit bumpy, she came to see that that was all she needed. She was happy after all. Content and living life again. And I loved that even though she will be happy with Brad, Clark is still there in her heart.

The epilogue, so sweet.

“I’ve been waiting my whole life for your kiss.”

“There's no time limit on grief. Breathe it, feel it, let it seep into you. When you're ready, and only when you're ready, you’ll be able to let it go. And even then, it will stay with you, somewhere in a part of your soul. The part where you don't want to ever forget, because there's no forgetting love, especially a love like that.”

Love, love was one sweet read!

description

Gabby is a 25 year old, candy, chocolate and coffee-loving klutz. She lives in the hustle and bustle of New York, away from the memories of her old life- a life where she was a disappointment to her family and where she loved deeply and lost tragically. She might appear fine, but she's empty inside.

Until she meets them.

The sexy Dane and the adorable Brad.

Who will she choose?

Sparkling emerald eyes or soft, caring brown ones?
Fine dining or coffee and ice cream?
Smokin' hot sex or tender hand holding?
The one who helps her feel numb or the one who makes her feel too much?

Is there even a choice?
Or will she never be able to let go of her first love?

While this had so, so many awww - inducing moments and some very funny ones, it wasn't just a fluffy read. There's a dose of passion and angst too. I loved Fran's story line as well.

A few of my favourite quotes:

-“I can’t help it! I loved him so much, and I miss him. Every damn day…I miss him. I fffucking hate love Fran, I just fffucking hate it. I hate the way it smells, the way it tastes, the way it gives you those itchy little goosebumps, the way people walk around with those ridiculous happy smiles.”

-“You know, when I first met you, I thought you were kind of odd.” I stifle a giggle. “Odd, but cute.”
“You know, when I first met you, I thought you were adorable. Clumsy, but most definitely adorable.”

-“I spy with my little eye, something that is so beautiful, it leaves me breathless.”

-“You’re not ready for me yet, as much as I wish like hell you were. But I’m patient. I’d wait forever to be the one who gets to hold your heart.”

- I was dead inside before I met you. You awakened something in me, and if you think I'm letting you walk out of my life, you're more insane than I am. If you want space, I’ll give you that, but I’m gonna fight like hell for you. With every breath that I have, I'll fight for you.”

My Rating: ❤❤❤❤
VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.
This book was provided by the author for an honest review.

My Thoughts:
I am always pleasantly surprised when I come across a story that fully allows me to immerse myself in it and grow to care for the characters.

Love Love did not disappoint on that score. I absolutely devoured this book from cover to cover...well ecover to ecover :). Ms. Michele did a wonderful job crafting a story that was heart-wrenching and heartwarming, and at the same time sweetly sexy and full of passion.

The story opens with a prologue of Gabby Willis who is graduating from UC Berkeley. Gabby has high hopes and expectations for her future and is beyond thrilled to be starting the next chapter of her life. Gabby's graduation is attended by her barely there parents and her best friend, Fran Heller, and the love of her life, Clark Thompson, her high school sweetheart.

After graduation, Gabby and company party it up at her parents house. The very same parents who do not approve of Gabby's relationship with Clark because they are high-society and he and his family are middle class, every day people. Gabby's mother makes no secret about her disdain for THAT boy when she interrupts Gabby during the party to chastise her for some faux infraction. Clark swoops in and rescues her, drawing her away from the vitriol being spewed by her mother. After briefly returning to the party, Gabby and Clark make their escape from the party to go to his house for some alone-time. Gabby and Clark are so sweet together because they are so in love and you can feel the earnestness of that love pouring off the pages of the story. Yes, they are young in age but their love has endured high school and college and the two of them recognize their soul mate in the other. At his parent house, Clark asks Gabby to marry him in the sweetest of ways and she happily agrees envisioning their future and their life together.

But sadly, fate rips Clark away from Gabby, leaving her devastated and heartbroken at the loss of her one true love.

Fast forward three years
Gabby and Fran are still thick and thieves and are now living in New York City. Fran is a graphic artist and Gabby is an assistant to an interior designer. She loves the job and her zany boss and she hopes that she will one day be an interior designer as well. One day on her way to work, Gabby meets two men who leave an indelible mark on her and cause her to rethink everything she has thought about in the past years. They will test her, challenge her, and seduce her in their own unique ways. But in the end...only one will have her heart.

I loved the unexpected turns taken in Love Love. When Gabby meets Dane Rhodes, I originally thought that he was her slam dunk. Handsome. Rich. Sexy. Sophisticated. He wined and dined Gabby. He was everything a girl could ever want, right? Wrong!!! Dane was self absorbed and selfish. I absolutely loathed how he treated Gabby as if she was not more than an easy lay with his, "meet me in my hotel room" demands. He was scum...especially when the reader finds out why he acted the way he did later on in the story. But, Gabby is not without fault here too. She allowed Dane to treat her such because she wasn't looking for more than a physical connection with him. Her heart still belonged to Clark and she had no plans on changing that reality. EVER!

Enter Brad Dixon
I loved Brad because he was truly the unexpected hero of this story. He was sweet, funny, understanding, and caring. He worked at the local coffee shop Gabby frequented and their casual acquaintance quickly settled in an easy friendship. Brad was the bright spot in Gabby's day. She looked forward to seeing him, talking to him, and laughing with him...even more than her Dane time. While she and Dane were burning up the sheets, Brad was unexpectedly winning her heart. Brad provided support to Gabby when she reached the point where she realized that she had to end things with Dane. Not to pick up on Dane's leftovers but to be a true friend to Gabby. His friendship and his concern chipped away at the icy layer that encased her heart.

When Gabby and Brad start dating hanging out as friends, she begins to see a different side to him. A side that she found sweet, sexy...sidenote: he had a dimple *sigh*...and easy to be around. Brad fed Gabby's sweet tooth and spoiled her in a way that did not involve lavishing her with things.

And let me just say this. I have ready plenty of Fifty Shades-ish type books and was pleasantly surrised that Love Love was NOT that kind of story. Brad was an every day average guy. He didn't have any drama. He wasn't damaged. He wasn't broken. He won Gabby's affection by being gentle, sweet, and loving.

There comes a point in the story where Gabby and Brad separate because she couldn't handle her feelings for him. She felt that her feelings were somehow a betrayal of her feelings for her beloved Clark.

Can, I just say...OMG...I want a Brad!

He was soooo sweet. He did not give up on Gabby. He sent her flowers, and treats, and letters. The letters he sent broke my heart. Seriously...I was a bit weepy because they were so sweet.

Super duper cute.

So, this wasn't a five star read for me, but it was very sweet indeed. And it was quite a nice, light pick-me-up.

"I spy with my little eye, something that is so beautiful, it leaves me breathless."

Twenty-five year old Gabrielle Willis has been in love before.

She was in love with her boyfriend of seven years, and engaged to be married. And then she lost him. And now she's terrified to feel again.

Words seem pointless. There are no words to heal. Only time and love can do that.

So, she meets Dane. Hot, sexy, self-absorbed Dane. And he fills a void. But it's a physical void. He's great between the sheets, is uber hunky and has a huge... ego! He's certainly not doing it for Gabby emotionally.
And then there's Brad. The sweet, unassuming, boyish, dimpled, coffee shop guy.

The friend Gabby needs. Yet somehow, without her even realising it, Brad becomes more than just a friend. And she has to work out whether or not she can let go of her past and let Brad into her heart.

"We're all damaged, right? It's what we make of the wreckage that matters."

There were a few things that bothered me in this book...
Firstly, I kind of felt like Dane's role in this story was a bit 'meh'... I get that he was supposed to represent the no-strings-attached, emotionless sex, but I just felt like he didn't quite work. And then the way things ended with him felt a little odd.

Secondly, I thought that the Gabby's best friend, Fran's storyline was a little pointless. It was quite a deep, dark thread that really needed so much more time and energy spent on it to justify it being there. I didn't feel like it was something you could just skim over as a sub plot.

But, despite those two things, this book was light hearted, fun and a nice little refreshment between heavier courses, if you like.

"Have you ever been kissed by a superhero before? Because you've never been truly kissed until you've been kissed by a superhero."
"Will it be life-changing?"
"Oh yes, life as you know it will never be the same."

Don't worry 'love-triangle' haters! This triangle won't rip you to shreds and won't leave you gasping for breath. It's not too intense or heart breaking, so you can breathe easy with this one.

Gabby annoyed me a little, but I think that was inevitable. I think you are meant to want to shake her (like Fran did) and say 'Girl, sort yourself out!'

I loved Brad from the get go. He's soooooo adorable. It's nice, and a rarity, to read a book where the good guy finishes first! Yay for good guys! I liked the banter between the characters, I liked Brad's sense of humour, although I didn't feel he was 'crazy' or 'weird' like they often intimated. He was just lovely. And I think we need more 'lovely' in our book boyfriends sometimes. I mean, don't get me wrong... I adore a strong, moody, possessive alpha as much as the next book whore, but sometimes, a bit of 'lovely' can really put a smile on your face.

"I've been waiting my whole life for your kiss."

And who doesn't love a superhero? ;)

"I won't give up on the one person who truly makes me feel like a superhero. You make me feel like I can leap tall buildings, like I can take on anything that life throws my way. I feel invincible as long as you're by my side."

He really does save Gabby, too. He knows she is broken, and he takes on her problems, owns them and builds her back up. He has his own issues and I love how they find comfort in one another.

It's like a perfect symphony of feeling, of emotion, of a love you thought was impossible; until suddenly the impossible becomes the inevitable.

Ok, so, if you're after something cutsie, a little corny, but nice and fresh, give this go.

I will just say this up front: I loved this book. I thought it was amazing. It was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time, and the reason is simple: I believed in the characters. They weren’t caricatures or stereotypes. They weren’t over the top or ridiculous. They behaved like real people in real situations. Now I realized that I wasn’t exactly the target audience for this book when the women spoke of clothes, makeup and hair excessively (I’m trying to think if there’s a male equivalent, and it’s probably sports and women, but there isn’t exactly a “guy lit” genre). But everything else just clicked for me.

I genuinely liked the MCs, Gabby and Brad. They were real people dealing with real tragic situations and responding in a way that I could see myself responding. There were no big misunderstandings, and there was no big mistake. Yes, Gabby does something towards the end of the book that makes us want to shake her (but in a loving way) and yell “Live! He would have wanted you to live!” But you know what? What she did is something I think many of us would do if we found ourselves in a similar situation.

And let me just add here: If you truly love the person you’re partnered with and if you really want them to be happy should something awful happen to you, tell them, insist to them, that they live their life if you’re gone. Tell them never to feel guilty if they find someone else to love if you die. It’s OK to love more than one person in a lifetime. I’ve told this to my wife. Hey, if I go first it just means God had other plans for me. But I want to know that if I can see her that she can be happy again.

One of the things I really loved in the book was the “dream”. I put it in quotes because I believe something like this could happen – I do believe in an afterlife. On the first read, it seems really sappy. But you read it over again, and you realize that this is exactly the kind of dream you need when someone you love dies. The author put it in the perfect place and it choked me up. Am I hinting HEA here? Hell yeah! You don’t write a story of someone wallowing in grief if at the end of the book they’re still going to be miserable (unless you’re a 19th century Russian author. Or Les Mis. Or Nicholas Sparks).

I also loved Fran, Gabby’s best friend. She was cool, she was funny, and she loved her friend something fierce. But what was so different in this book was that the best friend wasn’t just the pillar of strength. Fran had her moments of grief (and let me tell you, they’re pretty bad) and it’s Gabby who holds her up. In other words, she was a person and not a prop.

So, yes, this book was awesome. I recommend this book highly to essentially everyone. The only thing I will caution is that, if you have lost someone you love in the recent past and are still in that bad place, wait a while to read this.

I can try to be unique but there is just no way around it so I am just going to go for it. I loved, Love Love. There I said it, don't throw tomatoes at my unoriginality but its true. Love Love was such a refreshing story that covered the whole gamut of emotions from love and loss to heartbreak and hope. There were also some great fun moments as well and a first kiss that made my list of all time favorites. Oh and the sex was pretty steamy too.

Gabby you made me laugh, you made me cry but most of all you made me happy. On one hand you are dealing with such a great loss, my heart broke for you and I was right there feeling every emotion along with you. On the other hand I loved your clumsiness and sense of humor. The bathroom scene in the coffee shop was just about my absolute favorite funny moment. I love a women who can make a joke out of such an awkward situation.

It was absolutely heartwarming and satisfying following Gabby's journey from a devastating loss to finally finding "the one". Along the way we get the opportunity to meet a great cast of characters, the best friend Fran, (who by the way should have a book of her own in my opinion) to the sexy Dane and finally to Brad *sigh*.

Oh Brad, if I could write poetry I would create the most beautiful poem to describe my affection for you. But since I just blog and don't write, I am going to blog the heck out of you ;)

Brad you are beyond swoon worthy, you are utter perfection; a true superhero in my eyes. A crooked smile, a sexy dimple, a man who isn't afraid to shed a tear or show emotion, what could be better? Oh thats right, you can also make a mean cup of coffee. I know you are fictional, real men have flaws. Some might even say you are too perfect and I do agree that I like a bit of imperfection in my fictional men but in your case I was easily able to overlook it. Your treatment of Gabby and the way in which you dealt with your own loss was a thing of beauty.

Author Beth Michele did a fabulous job representing love with butterflies in your stomach, tears in your eyes and and a smile on your face. Well written and full of emotion Love Love is a true love story that I highly recommend to all readers of romance.

Gabby Willis has everything in the world to be happy about. She just graduated college, her boyfriend Clark just proposed to her and life is really good. Then the best night of her life turns out to be the worst.

Years later Gabby takes a job and moves to NY while still reeling in devastation from Clark's absence. Fran, her best friend and roommate, tries to get Gabby to at least entertain a one night stand…something…anything to get her back into moving on with her life and finding happiness again. Gabby, who happens to be a world class klutz, literally stumbles upon two men. She meets and hooks up with her hot client - Dane. Then she manages to spill her freshly poured coffee on Brad. Brad owns a coffee shop by her office. She slowly finds herself going to Brads place for more than a caffeine fix. Gabby starts to fall for Brad (who is my new book boyfriend). Brad is a self-proclaimed super hero who wants to be Gabby's Superman her Clark Kent (you will understand reference when you read this book). Gabby doesn't know if she can deal with heartbreak again...but will she trip over the best thing in her life? Will it be too late?

Love Love is one of those books that melted my heart and punched me in the stomach at the same time. Gabby is so endearing, and clumsily and sweet. You can't help but want to her help pick up the pieces of her life as she trips over her own two feet. She might be my favorite klutz.
Love Love is told from Gabby’s sticky sweet and very endearing POV. Beth Michele does an amazing job getting into Gabby’s head to share one hell of an amazing story of love, loss, heartbreak, friendship, second chances, coffee, candy and a few good booze fueled panty dropping escapades. I'm still in shock that this is Beth Michele's first book. You won't like this book you will Love it! I’m giving Love Love five Super Hero sized stars. Put Beth Michele on your writers to watch list. This is the kind of book that makes me love to read… total Kindle Crack...that's what it's all about! No cliffhanger.

This review will appear on www.facebook.com/kindlecrack, Goodreads, Amazon and Twitter.

Have you ever picked up a book and thought to yourself , this sounds like me and then judged by the cover and thought you were in for one thing and then as you are reading it , you are so thrown out of your loop and then you really know you are in for the ride of your life ?
That is what Beth Michele's book "Love, Love" did for me as I was happily reading the first chapter and then OMG - first bombshell and I was like Ok - where is this heading and then the novel jumps three years later and the main character Gabby Willis is living in Manhattan with her longtime best friend Fran. Gabby has chucked herself into work after suffering a tragedy and setback in her life and her friend Fran is a sexual being and wants Gabby to go out there , meet a guy and try and move on. So that's what Gabby does and she meets not only the Hunky Dane who is what Louise Rennison would have called "The Sex God" but also the Brad - the owner of the coffee shop and what we would call the "Sweet Guy Next Door". Is Gabby ready to move on and with which guy will she choose ? The second bombshell hits around Chapter Thirty-Three/Thirty Four and by then you would have had the beginnings of watery-eyes but once you hit Thirty-four and I'm not normally a crier in books you will have tears rolling down your face so this is a box of tissues moment . I was like NOOOOO !!! How could Beth Michele put this in the book LOL but not to spoil it I will leave the review with the last words of - THIS IS ONE BOOK ALL MUST READ.

There was angst and heartbreak in the storyline.
There was a perfect book boyfriend.
There were solid supporting characters.
There were no villains.

You may question me: Then what was your problem, dude?

The problem was me not feeling it:(

Wow. This book was so much fun! Sweet, emotional, and who doesn't love an awkward and klutzy main character? The writing is very smooth and easy to get into, and with the nice sense of humor throughout, this story will leave you smiling. Plus, and this should be all I need to say to hook you: it has ice cream and superhero jokes. ICE CREAM AND SUPERHEROS, PEOPLE! Additionally, the adorable relationship between Gabby and Brad throughout just made Love Love that much more enjoyable. Yes, there were a couple instances where I wish there could be less telling and more showing (I wanted to really see how Gabby felt, rather than just be told it) and I think some elements (like about the dad) could have been further explored, it really didn't matter in the long run. This book has it all: romance, a serious edge, and--you guessed it--COFFEE!!!

I could not put it down, and I can't wait for more from Beth!

This is Beth Michele’s first book and she did a great job!

Gabby Willis has a painful past that she has not really faced. She is trying to move past her pain without dealing with it and it constantly rears its ugly head.

The way in which Gabby tries to move on, ultimately ends up making her feel worse about herself and does not help her heal. Enter Brad Dixon. He too has a painful past, but has dealt with it in a much healthier way than Gabby has. Throughout the story, Brad helps Gabby heal and recognize she needs to move on. The way this is written, you really feel Gabby’s pain and suffering.

I loved the ending and the Ms. Michele wrapped up the story. Bravo on a fantastic debut!

I loved this book. Maybe a 4.5 instead of 5 but way up there. The story concentrated on the main characters, there was a teeny triangle that developed but it was put to rest (in the reader's mind) fairly early on and the book was mainly about two wonderful people, one of whom had to come to grips with a tragedy in her past before she could fully commit to who was obviously the love of her life.

Two other reasons I really liked this book. Brad was much more interested in lifelong love than in an immediate roll in the sheets. And, Gabby found out (as maybe the rest of we romance readers need to remember) great sex with a hot guy is one thing, but love, laughter, sharing AND great sex with a hot guy is even more important!

so sweet and written well. I really enjoyed this author's debut! excellent job! Gabby experiences true life shattering heartbreak and starts her life over in NYC. She goes thru life with her bff Fran looking to re-engage into a social life. A chance meeting on the street brings the hot, rich Dane to her life; and a change from Starbucks to a local coffee shop introduces her to the adorably sweet Brad. One man fills her desires and restarts her libido, but the other fills her mind and makes his way to her heart. Every character is so well developed that they just suck you into the story. I could not put this down...I felt emotionally drained at the end! For me, that's a good read!

What a beautiful story. My heart broke for Gabby and all she had to go through with losing Clark. Then meeting Brad who saved her and she him. I am usually all about the alpha males in my books, but there was just something about Brad, who is such a sweet and gentle man that kept me reading. He and Gabby's first date made me swoon hard. It was so romantic and the emotions they were both feeling gave me butterflies. I admit to shedding a tear or three reading Gabby's journey to finding happiness and love for a second time. She was also really funny. Some of her thoughts had me laughing out loud. This book has a bit of everything.

Such a sweet story. I love that an actual relationship develops which is rare these days.
