Mark Miller's first entry for the "ONE" book project is a wonderful and touching beginning to this 12 book series. Mark's deftly, heart-felt written book "A Marvelous Net" reaffirms that we are always connected to each other, and our own planet, in a symbiosis we simply need to research to realize. And that we are always where we are supposed to be, in the greater plan of life.
In the not so distant past, I had the opportunity to meet author Mark Miller in person. I must say I am honored to have done so. His "One" in this series shows us exactly what I saw while standing at his author table: a real life, courteous, transparent, true, and dedicated man who strongly believes.
In this "One" Mark has proven my first impression to be valid - and I might add my first impression was a good one. In his "One" story Mark shares his amazing chance in life to learn that God has him right where he is supposed to be. The thing that sticks in my mind regarding Mark's short story is how simple, yet complex, the event was that put this author in the right place at the right time, and bring him to a new level in his beliefs.
Without being pushy or demanding, Mark displays his amazing talent in delivering a non-offensive message that will make anyone say, "hmmmm." Regardless of who you put your faith in, this "One" story makes you think.
From forgiving and being forgiven to broken glass, a stubbed toe, and the intricate working of a giraffe's blood vessels, I instantly found myself sorting out scenario after scenario in my own life. . .everyone of them boiling down to God putting me in the right place at the right time.
I would suggest this read for those who enjoy taking on a challenge in life to better themselves as individuals, as well as becoming a better person to those around them. Don't think for a moment you're going to be preached at - this is far from that. And no matter who you believe or put your faith in, this take on life is for people from all walks of life.
I give it 5 stars for being such an inspiring read to help make me more aware of the small things that can end up being monumental, and for showing me there's always room to grow in your belief...no matter what your faith.
