Picking up 6 months after the devastating end of First Bitten, we find Alex on the run and hiding out in Italy. She is broken hearted, and missing Nathan terribly, but in order to keep him, and herself, safe, she keeps herself hidden, moving around every few months, trying to stay away from anything supernatural that could pinpoint her as a the only female Vârcolac (a vampire / werewolf hybrid) in existence.
While waitressing in a small-town Italian coffee shop she meets Zeff, who is gorgeous, sophisticated, and charming. And in a creepy case of déjà vu, Zeff ends up saving her one night while she is attacked in the woods. Somehow Zeff knows what she is, and when he offers to help her and teach her how to defend herself, Alex agrees. As he helps her come to terms with what she is, and accept her new life, even though she still thinks of Nathan constantly, she does start to let him in.
I was so torn over Zeff. I really liked him… like really liked him. He is smart and funny, and the banter between him and Alex was gold! But, like Alex, I felt like I was being unfaithful to Nathan :\ There is a bit of mystery here though, and I did have some suspicions, and was convinced I knew what was going on, but I was wrong, and I have to say that I absolutely love how that storyline played out, and can't wait for more of Zeff! Bravo Ms Towle!
The story twists and turns all over the place, and I really don’t want to give anything away, but I will say that yes, Nathan is in this story (squeeeeeee!!!).
I loved seeing a new side to Alex in this book. She is more confident, self assured, and comfortable with who she is, with a bit of a badass side to her now, and it’s awesome! She also knows what she wants, and she’s not afraid to grab it with both hands.
There is a bit of action towards the end, and I love the direction that the series is taking. I can’t wait to see where the next book goes.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when I discover a new Author and find their first book to be amazing. Then I always get worried, if it's a series, what if the 2nd one fails to keep up?..Huge pressure!!
Well, how much do I LOVE Samantha Towle right now??? A bloody LOT...she is FAB-U-LUSH!!! This book was FAB!!! And I got to say that having the image of Tom Hardy in my head as Nathan WHOA big big big CAM!!!!!
So as I said Original Sin is the second book in Alexandra Jones series and I was hooked from First Bitten so was chuffed to bits there wasn't long to go before this one cause I HATE cliffhangers!!
I don't do spoilers so....Alex is now on the run from the Originals continuously running from country to country ending up in Italy where she meets Zeff. (I got a bit of a crush on him and felt really bad, like I was cheating on Nathan here, but even Alex did so it's all good!!) She still loves Nathan though....(so do I!!!!!)
I love Alex...she is so REAL, funny and in this book she really came into her own!! All Ms. Independent, Kick-Ass and In Control!!
And Nathan *sigh* .... I LOVED that we got his POV!!! He is in such need of fixing..all bad-ass hot alpha male with that vulnerability..how can you not love him?!?!
The relationship between Alex and Nathan is Yummy HOT..I mean the scene in the .... (not going to tell)!! They are pretty perfect for each other that's all!!
This book has got so many twists and turns it is impossible to put it down...The need to know is intense and I had so many conspiracy theories in my head whilst reading, it kept me guessing which is great, I hate the obvious!!

Samantha has really delivered on this book.
Def the best so far, and Zeff....well I kinda like him better than Nathan...just sayin.

5 ZEFFERIFIC STARS
I think I should start this review by saying I am a COMPLETE fan-girl when it comes to Samantha Towle!! I mean the women is a genius. I LOVED the 1st book in this series First Bitten, it is one of my all time favorite books EVER! So I was dying to read this when it came out and was absolutely blown away by it.
It pick's up 6 month's after Alex has left Nathan in a hotel room (which was an epic way to leave us hanging in the last book....lol). She is on the run moving around from country to country and has landed herself in Italy where she meet's Zeff (heart skips a beat!!) and then all the good stuff begin's! I don't wanna give to much away so I'll just say there were point's in this book that my heart literally STOPPED. I was having a major internal struggle over not letting myself fall for Zeff. I mean the guy is wonderful and is so awesome to Alex but he is just not Nathan. Alex is such a beautiful character and so absolutely relatable and I loved that she found herself in this book. She has learned to be independent and self sufficient and that made me love her even more. And then there is Nathan the undeniably gorgeous man that he is! I really loved him more after reading Original Sin (if that's even possible). I felt like he was so wounded and broken and it broke my heart to see him like that but also he was vulnerable with Alex which he wasn't in the first book. The chemistry between Alex and Nathan in this book is EXPLOSIVE ! I mean hot sex everywhere...I loved it. There is no denying that they are meant for each other and that makes me so happy.
Let me end by saying that if you have not read this book or this series. You HAVE TO! It's amazing and the characters are unbelievable. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

Whilst the first book (First Bitten) in this series was a slow build up, this book was all go from the get go.
It had me gripped from page one until the very last page!
The chapter from Nathan's pov was amazing allowed us an insight into him and the emotions he was feeling and I have to say, that chapter really did tug at the heartstrings.
I love Nathan as a character, he is all brooding, alpha, sometimes sensitive and can definitely say the wrong thing, but I just love him.
Alex comes into her own in this book. She is accepting of what she is and is learning to deal with her situation and has definitely grown in character since the first book.
The relationship between him and Alex exploded in this book and there were some pretty hot scenes and the introduction of Zeff added just the right amount of tension to the story.
I love the take on the whole Vampire/Werewolf theme that Samantha has created and I am eagerly awaiting book 3.

I couldn't put this book down. Alex was amazing from the time she left Nathan at the hotel. She had to learn to do everything for herself that she hadn't been doing. She had to hunt and drain her animals for the blood, work for money to keep moving so no one could find her not even Nathan. She had to keep him safe most of all especailly after what happen to Sol. She finds herself in Italy after 6 months of being on the run and she still can't get Nathan out of the heart and her mind. She is so in love with him she can't see straight.
She finds herself working in a coffee shop and trying to get enough money for her next move, but she had to sign a 2 month lease on the apartment she is staying in. One day at work she sees and really hot guy come in who starts talking to her. His name if Zeff and she knows something is different but can't place it. He shakes her had and gives her an electrial charge of some sort that is beyond strange and she almost jumps away at the touch. She continues to talk to him and searches trying to find out what he is but only finds him to be human. So as soon as she can she leaves work goes home and heads to her woods to hunt. She has her pack with her passport, money, extra clothes everything she needs in case she needs to leave in a hurry for any reason. She kills her bunnies, drains the blood and buries their bodies and she always does and starts to head home when she smells something different; a vampire. Shit she tries to run but he cuts her off and attackes her breaks her bottles of blood and almost kills her. Zeff of all people comes to her rescue. When she comes to she is in a house she doesn't know, not in her clothes, and with the Zeff guy.
Zeff tells her he is a vampire hunter and that she is safe. He also has to tell her her pass port is ruined which she freaks out about because now she can't leave and how is she going to travel and now she has no blood Oh god he know what I am!! But he tells her she can trust him and soon she realizes she can do exactly that. Zeff becomes her friend or so she thinks. He helps get her a new pass port, teaches her to fight, teaches her to shoot a gun, also teaches her to turn into her wolf form to hunt; things she never thought she could do. She becomes this independent person and can take care of herself. But she is becoming drawn to Zeff and is thinking less of Nathan which is what she thought she wanted but isn't.
Her pass port is ready and Zeff takes her out because she is leaving the next day and they are attack by 5 vampires. She finds out Zeff is an Original! Her whole world upside down again the 1 friend she thought she could trust and he said he wanted to help her keep her safe and now he's an Original. Oh and he has fallen in love with her and he says he doesn't want her to make lost of babies like his brother does. But all she can think is she needs to get away from him as fast as she can and back to Nathan.
You don't want to like Zeff but you can't help it he's strong and caring. He has always been their for Alex where Nathan was an ass at times and that love/hate thing with her Zeff just has that sexy, charming thing going on from the start.
Here she goes back to Nathan, to the farm where she feels safe. Nathan has her in bed as soon as she hits the drive way but is an ass as soon as the sex is over. Trying to push her away as usual can't face his issues and you just want to slap him. But he wakes up and the scream it out and find out they are madly in love with each other. She finds out he just came home from looking for her 4 hours before she showed up. That he never gave up. For 2 weeks things are heaven nothing but sex, can't keep their hand off each other.
When she gets back to the farm you get to know Craig, Scarlett and more about Jack. I love these characters it just helps make the book.
Then they show up and so does Zeff and hit all hits the fan....

this 2nd book in THE ALEXANDRA JONES SERIES is AWESOME !!!!
SAMANTHA TOWLE has added soooo many more elements to thins book that it had me hooked !!!
& omfg im soooooo excited for what is to come in the 3rd book that i can see it already in my head what we are in for !! eeeeekkkkk its going to be a RIPPA MATE !!! (lol sorry had to go all aussie on u there)
this book picks up 6mths after the end of the 1st story . I was nicely suprised to find a different side of Alex come out right off the bat :)......& not only that we are hit with so yummy tall , dark & handsome right of the bat too .......ummm yep im not talking about our boy Nathan !!!!
i can her u all squeeling just like i am....."YAY LUV TRIANGLE " !!!!
ok now i want to tell u all the bits that make even better than the 1st ....dont worry no spoilers just some tidbits for u to look forward to :)
1st Alax & her new found awesome .....u will luv that
2nd the introduction of ZEFF ....oohh u will find out all about who that is in the 1st few chapters ....u will luv him
3rd omg the humour in this book had me laughing my ass off !!!...ok there is this 1 bit right that Zeff & Alex are talking about a sex cafe' baaaahaaaa oh god i giggle just thinking about it .....u will luv luv luv this
4th the nick name !!.....thats all im going to say on that ...ohh u will luv luv that !!
5th ohhhh NATHAN !!! yep we see a totally differen side of our boy Nate that will make every girl ...& even some guys want to drop thier panties ......u will luv luv luv luv luv luv that !!!
Samantha Towle has shown us even more of her tallent with this & i CAN NOT wait to see even more of her awesomeness in book 3 .....especially with how she ended ORIGINAL SIN !!!

This is the sequel to "First Bitten" The author is high on my list of favorites. She has a way for making you fall for her characters and feel all their emotions.
Alex has set out on her journey of a new life on her own. She had to make a choice that is killing her on the inside, but it is better then watching her loved ones die. She has changed her identity and her looks, hoping it will help her hide while on the run from danger and her past. She constantly has to keep her guard up, one mistake and it could be her last. Choices have to be made, but there are consequences to them all. Who can she trust? Will she have the strength to survive and do what is right? She is on a long road with two separate paths, but which one will she take?
I laughed, cried, and felt panic right along with the characters. It had me on the edge of my seat. A must read that will have you wanting more. The release of the next book can't come fast enough.

LOVVVVED ITTTTTT!!!!
Yeah Zeff(mysterious)Mmmm... I really like his character... I still love Nathan (of course) and add a little Alex to the mix and you have the perfect ingredients for a WON-dEr-FULL love triangle...Exactly up my alley... It was filled with everything I enjoy and expect in a 5 star series! I am wondering how many books are to this series because there is a lot un-kowns...
I wonder... Is Zeff good or bad???

Yeah Zeff(mysterious)Mmmm... I really like his character... I still love Nathan (of course) and add a little Alex to the mix and you have the perfect ingredients for a WON-dEr-FULL love triangle...Exactly up my alley... AMAZING sequel to "First Bitten." I have one word: Zeff!!! If you read this book, I guarantee that you will IMMEDIATELY fall for this man...However, after you are done swooning over Zeff, you will be brought back to the reality that faces Alex's unique situation, the very real dangers she is facing, Nathan's family that she regrets putting in danger, and of course the continued "love me or love me not" relationship that hangs in the balance between Alex and Nathan...Please do yourself a favor and read this series :)

Original Sin did not disappoint! One of my new favorite series! I tried so hard to take my time reading this book, trying to make it last as long as possible but I couldn't put it down! I love Alex and Nate! And after meeting Zeff he is defiantly growing on me! He is funny and sarcastic and I love it! I really can NOT wait for the next book to come out! I hope I don't have to wait that long! I highly recommend this series!!

Wow! Book two takes off perfectly from book one. Alex is on the run, trying to stay under the radar of the original Vârcolacs. She finds help from a handsome stranger who seems too good to be true.
Again, like book 1, this is dark, edgy and a great read! Romance, action, danger, supernaturals...loved it!

But damnit now I have to wait for book 3 :( So Samantha please turn off your phone, don't watch tv and get writing!! Cause seriously I can't wait!! MY REVIEW
I bought this book from Amazon.co.uk as soon as it became available as after reading BK1 I couldn't wait to get my hands on BK2 to read more about Alex and Nathan.
First of all I think the cover really fits the book well, because there's the image of Alex, and the wolf in the background.
I have to admit I couldn't resist reading this one as soon as I could as I had been somewhat impatiently waiting for it.
In this book Alex has run away from the gorgeous shifter Nathan and she is using a false name, Sarah and has been moving around a lot to avoid being found by the Originals. I think part of her does wish that Nathan would find her though, as she can't get him out of her mind. Then a mysterious man appears on the scene and Alex sort of knows that there is something the man is hiding but can't quite put her finger on what. The man tells Alex his name is Zeff. I don't want to go into the plot and give too much away but will say that Zeff, who when you find out who he really is seems the most unlikely source to help Alex.
Alex is faced with a choice, thinking it's now safe because of a conversation had with Zeff for her to return to Nathan. So is it a totally happy no questions asked reunion? Come on you must have read book now, we are talking about Alex and Nathan here, stubbornness, hurt feelings and jumping to the wrong conclusions all rear their ugly heads. So do they sort it out? Read the book!
I love the way the book chapters are split, from Alex's point of view and her journey and then from Nathan's rather frustrated point of view of his never ending search for Alex. It adds to the book that we are in on the fact that Nathan is still searching for Alex even though Alex thinks he may have now given up.
I love, really love the characters of Nathan, and Alex as well as liking Jack, Craig and Scarlett. Nathan is definitely the gorgeous but doesn't really know it, guy with a bike riding bad boy edge. I am reserving judgement on Zeff at the moment, I think he has lots of secrets yet to be divulged. There's also so much more for Nathan and Alex and their extended family. Also we don't hear so much about Cal, Erin and their new baby Rose, so it would be nice to have them in BK3 too. Of course the loss of the also gorgeous good guy younger brother to Nathan, Sol is still dearly missed by the characters (and us readers!) and so is mentioned quite a lot in BK2.
So did I enjoy the book? Loved it! only disappointment I had was I wanted even more lol!
Would I recommend this book? Yes to mature teens and adults. Would I read more of the Alexandra Jones Series? Yes! Would I read more by Samantha Towle? Oh Yes!
What more can I say? I really do love this series and can't wait to read more.

First: 5/5 Stars!
Second: Towle really knows how to write a book. I thought the first book in this series was good, but the second I read straight through until 5 AM this morning! Once I started I could not stop. Thank you long weekend, thank you! There was also a certain someone I was basically dying in anticipation waiting to appear. I think my thoughts were something like: Please find her, please find her... and then kick her in the arse!
Third: I don't know what it is, but there are so many books right now that just simply don't make sense. Well, with every book by Towle I know for fact I get true PEOPLE. The angst and relationships, the struggles, all of it has purpose and flows logically.
Fourth: Put Towle (and this really should be step one but I digress) on your instant buy list, because she just really is that good. Do not read this series out of order and make sure you have a good space of time to read both books back to back. The only dilemma is book three is yet to release....and well... I'm chomping at the bit for it!!! But either way, all of her books are just fantastic! I love finding great new authors.
Lastly: *SPOILERS* I have a few thoughts going into book three. As much as it pains me to say it, I think Alex does have real feelings for Zeff. He took her in, protected her, at a time she felt alone. All of that kindness and his charm had to have some effect on her. In fact, I think she loves him and its something she is going to have to admit to herself while also realizing that she will always be IN love with Nathan. And words cannot even begin to describe Nathan. Sigh, I'll admit I was backtracking kindle pages just to hear some of his words this time around. We finally get to see him be vocal about the depth of his feelings we knew were always there. Oh, and the bedroom scenes! Huzzah. Its the perfect amount to not distract from the story and also give you the fix you love. ;) So, what am I hoping for come book three? I want the HEA for Nathan and Alex. I want them on the farm, with a family of their own and a wedding! Haha, I feel much like a girl right now (which is okay since I am) but that is for sure what I would love the most! I expect a few speed bumps along the way, but I truly don't feel Zeff has any place longterm with Alex. I can't wait for November and *crosses fingers* those rings on the right hand to move over to the left! (A girl can hope, right?)

This was a much anticipated book for me since First Bitten ended in a cliffhanger. This story picks up 6 months after Alex left Nathan behind in the hotel room. She has been hopping around countries going by the name Sarah. Alex meets Zeff one day and he ends up saving her life. Zeff is no Nathan. While Zeff offers a helping hand and friendship, he doesn't fill the void that leaving Nathan has left. The first half of the book is spent with Alex getting to know Zeff and then later on we find out who he really is. I was a little peeved at this, at first. I didn't want to read about Zeff. I wanted Alex to find Nathan. Alex getting to know Zeff is needed. I have a feeling in the future he is going to be one alia she wants to have in her corner. I was surprised when his true identity was revealed. I didn't see that one coming. I was looking for something more simple, like maybe he was like her. When Alex discovers his true nature she is really upset. I think that she is more thrown off guard. As much as she wants to hate him, they have a connection and she really can't. This doesn't stop her from leaving him.
The second half of the book is Alex reuniting with Nathan. Nathan has been searching for her for since she left him. When she returns, in true Nathan fashion he is an ass. I get that he is upset that she left but she did it to save him and his family. Can you blame her though? The girl has some serious baggage. Elijah and Isaiah are after her. One wants to kill her and the other wants her as his personal baby maker. You would think Nathan would be a little bit happier to see her safe and sound. I think that he is not really mad at her, it is just that he bears the weight of the world and when Sol died he never really got the chance to grieve. He blames himself for his death and thus takes it out on others. Things get better for them when they have one of their legendary arguments and works out the kinks in their relationship.
The vampires make an appearance in this book but not as much as in First Bitten. It is like this one was more along the lines of establishing relationships rather than fighting off enemies. Towards the end they do appear and the gang goes on the run to protect Alex. The author sets up a chance for a pretty good love triangle for the next book. I like Zeff but I am a Nathan fan.
Overall I loved the book. This author did not disappoint. Alex and Nathan's scenes are pretty hot, you may need to fan yourself when reading it. I can not wait until the next book.

Original Sin by Samantha TowleMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
Let me say that I enjoyed book 1 First Bitten (The Alexandra Jones series) and it laid the groundwork for what I hope would be an amazing series. Unfortunately, the first 50% of Original Sin (The Alexandra Jones Series #2) was pretty much going that way and THEN Alex loses her brain someplace and become the clone of thousands of women who stay with or are attracted to abusive men. Nathan gets a bit of polish from the author trying to make him into something he is NOT but Alex is just madly in love with him to the exclusion of all others (MUCH better others I might say) and so the book goes downhill from there and I probably scanned about 15-20% of the last half of the book. I have to say my personal feelings on this would have never had Nathan revisited in this series in anything but a minor role. I guess with that out of the way I have to decide if I want to continue this series when Alex is such a weak heroine and living a life filled with bad choices and irrational behavior. Original Sin (The Alexandra Jones Series #2) was a decently written sequel and other than the British slang that tainted the book a bit for me, the story could have been a 5 Star over the top reading experience but the author got lazy, the heroine got stupid and I can only hope that someplace down the line everybody gets a break. I am sure the author is not going to change much in her romance angle of this book which is sad because for all her efforts I still see Nathan as a jerk at best. Zeff would have been a better character for the book and will probably be demonized in the series to make Nathan look better and that does not appeal to me. If the next book comes out soon I will read it, if I have to wait for many months I may just give up and move on to better stories. 3 Stars for a good stories and sadness for what I feel it could have been.

Ok so after 6 and half hours of straight reading this book, I'm finished. But I do not want it to be finished.
Original Sin is the second book in Alexandra Jones series and being hooked from First Bitten I could not wait to get my hands on it. So without giving too much away, Alex is now on the run from the Originals constantly running from country to country, when she bumps into Zeff, she is immeadiately drawn to him. She still loves Nathan but its been 6 months he can't possibly still care for her when she just left him!
This book has got so many twists and turns it is better than being on the best rollercoaster you can think of and being able to go in a gazillion times without having to queue. I was upset, confused, angry and cried a whole lot whilst reading this book, (so please be warned have a box of tissues). I went through every emotion with Alex and thats why you are so amazing Samantha Towle. I've said it before when I read a fantastic book it is like I am watching a film in slow motion and I always get that when reading one of yours and it was like I wanted to be snowed in at the cinemas. When I saw the end I literally went "NOOOOOOOOO, don't end it like that, please!!!"
Now you know how much I love Nathan, so when I found out you were adding a new main man to the picture, I was instantly dis-pleased. BOOOOOO!!! but I have to say he grew on me a whole lot, I think I needed my jaw picking up off the floor at one point. HOWEVER, I LOVE NATHAN, and this new side to him. OH MY GOOD GOD!! His still the same Nathan but his changed, showing his vunerability but you never took away who he really was and what truly matters to him.
Please everyone put your hands together and applaude this woman, because she has done it again! Such a fantastic read and I really can not wait for Book 3, actually forget that I think I'm going to read First Bitte and Original Sin again, just incase I missed anything.

Oh my!!! I can not believe she managed to top the first book in this series, but she did. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. I simply could not put it down. I am so beyond glad that I was able to read this book immediately after finishing book one. The suspense of waiting for book two would have probably been too much for me ;). I am going to try to be as non spoilerish as possible, but there may be some spoilers from book one.
Here are some of the many things I simply adored about this book:
*I loved watching as Alex grew into a more independent person and learned to deal with the situation she was thrown into after she was attacked in the beginning of the first book. While I found myself trying to advise her to do things differently, I could see why she was making the choices she was making and why, for her, they were the only choice.
*Zeff - I love it when a character completely blindsides me. I can not say more without being spoilery, but I was so shocked by some of the discoveries about him and his motives. In hind sight, I should not have been. I was simply so immersed in the story that I missed some clues that should have been clear. How awesome is it when you get that immersed in a story.
*I simply loved the family dynamics of Alex's new family. I enjoyed seeing how they interacted together and seeing how they grew as individuals and as a group.
*Once again, I was impressed with the pace of this book. Samantha has an ability to slow down during the times where we really need to experience the emotions of the characters and have the action go at a clip that leaves us on the edge of our seats.
*One of the biggest deciding factors for me when determining a books awesomeness is if I can put the book down and not have it bug me. Well, in this case, the dishes were not done until morning because as soon as the wee ones were in bed, nothing was tearing me away from this book.
If you could not tell, this series is one I absolutely love! I am so excited a third one is in the works. The author has made her way onto my short list of "I will read every thing they publish" authors. Yes, I liked it that much.

Each page enthralled me and had me hooked, I was able to pick up on how the plot was going to develop and what would unfold pretty quickly, But I was wrong in a few of my guesses.
I love how Samantha Towle has really built Alex into such a strong character, she is definitely different from First Bitten, a more independent Alex, but I still love how though she has grown, she still needs Nathan by her side no matter how much she denied it at first. And may I say I loved Zeff's personality some of his comments or actions made me laugh! I am also hoping we get to see more of Craig, Jack and Scarlett of course, in the next book! Though they showed up in scenes, I felt the main players were Alex and Zeff for the majority and then Alex & Nathan.
I can’t wait for the next installment and cant wait to see how each character continues to grow. And because of Original Sin I am now left wondering....Could there be a possibility for a love triangle? You know to spice things up a bit ^_~

Original Sin takes place a few months after Alex leaves Nathan behind. She is still on the run and is constantly moving to avoid detection but while in Italy she is attacked by a vampire and is saved by Zeff, mysterious and handsome but is just a plain human who happens to be a vampire hunter as well....Or at least that’s what she senses off of him and has been told.
Samantha Towle has done it again. I found the book to have a nice even pace, though some parts caught my attention more than others, I especially liked the interaction between Zeff and Alex. Each page enthralled me and had me hooked, I was able to pick up on how the plot was going to develop and what would unfold pretty quickly, But I was wrong in a few of my guesses.
I love how Samantha Towle has really built Alex into such a strong character, she is definitely different from First Bitten, a more independent Alex, but I still love how though she has grown, she still needs Nathan by her side no matter how much she denied it at first. Original Sin starts approximately 6 months after First Bitten ended. Alex, now called “Sarah”, is still pretty much in love with Nathan but is stubbornly staying away from him. She is working as a barista in a coffee shop, traveling from country to country to stay away from the Originals. There she meets Zeff, a vampire hunter. In the weeks that follow, he teaches Alex how to be strong and independent. He helps her embrace who she really is. I can’t say anymore (I’m eager to say some spoilers xD) but it’s really exciting.
I knew this book would be good from the start. Apart from my eternal frustration about Nathan’s absence, this book was amazing. Alex’s struggle to keep her humanity is one of the things I like the most about Original Sin (and the series in general). Zeff is a character that you get to love and trust. Even if you like Nathan, you just can’t ignore the strong presence he has in Alex’s life once he steps in it. You get to love him no matter what! :)
This story was fast pacing. The emotional moments weren’t (all) cheesy. You get to know the characters a little better and embrace the changes that happened between the first and second book. The author gives us plenty of both guys in Alex’s life, so you don’t stay in the dark for long, which is great. As you all know, I like to know the facts about the characters in the books I read.
So yeah, I can’t wait for the next book in the Alex Jones series. I bet there’s more where this story came from! <3 I loved it!

All I can say is wow! I sat down and said I was going to read a few chapters and here I am finishing the book in one sitting. Samantha Towle has done it again and I feel like she has really found these characters. They are as real and alive as someone you can walk up to on the street. I found myself once again getting so emotionally wrapped up in Alex and Nathan's story that at points I wished I could grab them both and shake some sense into them! How can you not love Nathan but Zeff....I had read in other reviews there was a story twist with him and I still didn't see that one coming! I absolutely can not wait to see how Alex will end up sussing this all out in the end and am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. But I have to put a caution here this series is like a drug make sure you have plenty of time when you sit down to read it because from start to finish it will have you hooked and nothing else will get done! And please please please Samantha Towle bring Alex, Nathan , and Zeff back soon because I don't know if I can take the wait. :)

I LOVED it!!!
I have a thing for paranormal romance especially vampires and this series is great.
I really enjoyed the first book but found the second one...just better. And I'm sorry but I love Zeff. Not a big fan of Nathan, found him to be an ass. Where Zeff taught her to accept what she is and grow and learn with it, I found Nathan would just tear her down. And she was comfortable around Zeff and could talk to him where Nathan always made her uncomfortable and question everything. Plus, the banter between Zeff and Alex is hilarious. That's my opinion anyway.

Overall impressions, love how relatable Alex is. One can almost picture ones self in the situations because her reactions to the things that happen are of that of an average person thrust into an unknown world. I liked that.

Very enjoyable continuation of the first book. Alex shows a lot more strength, thank god, in this one. She manages to start taking care of herself rather than depending on everyone else and there is a nice undertone of personal empowerment for her. But.... her naivety is still ever present and still get her and everyone around her in trouble. While I really want her to be with Nathan, Zeff is who she really should be with so no matter which one she is with at the time I wanted the other guy for her. I like the fact that it wasn't a clear choice for me as the reader. As in the first book, the secondary characters are equally responsible for fully rounding out the story/series. I enjoyed the inner monologue and very english phraseology. ST has just a great style of expression and build in her writing. I really look forward to the third installment.

Alex has now been on the run for 6 months after leaving Nate in a hotel room. She's convinced that the vampires and Vârcolac's will come to hunt her and she refuses to allow them to hurt Nate or his family any further.
She's currently in Italy, working in a cafe, only spending enough time to save up money to move on to another town or country. At work is where she meets Zeff, a stranger that insists on helping her, no matter how she brushes him off.
Then he saves her from a vampire attack, claiming to be a vampire hunter, and insists on training her to use her new abilities better. It would seem he knows what she is already. Now Alex must learn to trust him, despite her fear and loneliness only to find out a very hard truth about her new friend...
